Hello everyone! I just have a small piece of news for today for you wrestling fans.
TNAWWE News: Do not hit the reload button, you did read that right. With Wrestlemania 24 in Orlando of all places, WWE has the nerve to not only set up a fan show this weekend, prior to the PPV at Universal Orlando (Where TNA Impact is taped), but to also tell all WWE SuperStars that they cannot fraternize with TNA talent, at all. However, a few clever wrestlers have figured out that what you do during your off time is nobody’s buisness but yours. With that said, a few WWE stars have broken the TNA taboo, but one unlucky man was caught live!
During Thursday’s live Impact show, WWE star Robbie McAllister of The Highlanders was filmed in the crowd! TNA cameras zoomed in on his face, and even posted his full real name, and his occupation. Robbie realized too late what they had done, and helplessly tried to hide his face, but by that time, he was already on both of the big screens, and viewers at home had already started calling fellow wrestling fans with the news. WWE is said to be livid with Robbie, who was supposed to be out on injury leave accourding to WWE.com. Poor guy!!
In other news, Impact saw the return of Sting, as he has now aligned himself with Christian Cage’s team for Lockdown April 13th. However, after Sting got the pin during a pre-PPV showcase match featuring himself, Christian, Rhyno and Kevin Nash vs. Team 3D, Tomko and AJ Styles, Sting was clubbed in the head with a beer bottle by returning star James Storm. James has offered his help to Team Tomko. Samoa Joe assured fans via sattelite that he still plans to take the title off of Kurt Angle, who’s wife Karen has just taken the kids and moved out of their Pennsylvania home. Joe has been training non stop in California, in a prefabricated cage, to ensure he will be his usual 100% for Lockdown. Awesome Kong defended her title against ODB, Jay Leathal took So Cal Val on a date to the gym, only to have the snooping Sonjay Dutt butt in rudely, Johnny Devine won a match against Alex Shelley, after hitting him in the head with the camera tripod, LAX beat Scott Stiener, Petey Williams and Rhocka Kahn (Despite Scott’s training of Petey, which now includes electrocution), and Booker T made Bobby Roode bleed in a First blood match for the win.
Now, I’d like your opinion on something that was brought up tonight.
In a video package, Kip James (Billy Gunn) argued that the reason why he turned on BG James (Road Dogg) was because after helping BG break into WWF, teaming with him, and acting as family to him, BG turned his back on Kip after Kip literally handed BG the tag title shot in the feast or fired match back on Thanksgiving 2007, and made his life misrable with arguments and secrets, before ousting Kip altogether as a partner, choosing his father Bullet Bob Armstrong.
However, BG insists that he didn’t turn his back on Kip, but did take the tag title shot Kip gave him to fufill a lifelong ambition to hold the belts once with his dad, Bullet Bob.
My question to you, did BG turn his back on Kip for his own gains, or is Kip just being whiney? Could this storyline could develop into either a match for an upcoming PPV, or into the duo rekindling a friendship? Post your comments!
Well that does it for today. As always, stay clean and healthy, and read a good book when you can. Until next time!
