Hello Everyone! An extra day in the year, too bad this can’t happen more often every year, eh? Thursday was a rocky day, so you might walk away feeling peeved after this post.

Sailormoon: Talks are still ongoing with niether side wanting to spoil anything for us. So in the meantime, I want to talk about why Funimation’s bid for Sailormoon is crucial. Alot of you ask why Sailormoon was pulled from Cartoon Network many years ago. The answer is editing costs. When Sailormoon was first brought to North America, some moron thought that it would make more sense to cut it up and pander it to kids, rather than to add the show to an adult block.(Comedy Central had an adult cartoon block at the time, as did MTV and Cartoon Network’s adult black was just starting.) Sailormoon was ment for ADULTS as it contains ADULT humor, much of which is lost in the DiC episodes. The first 4 seasons were easy enough to splice, but the final season, Sailormoon StarS, was so chock full of nudity, sexual costumes, sexual references and death, that to edit the season down, they would have to cut OUT most of the cast and dwindle the whole thing down to about 9 episodes. >_O That’s why it’s important to get the series UNCENSORED, and why the talks between Geneon and Funimation are important! Funimation has done a complete 180 with their anime output, as they are still releasing UNCENSORED, digitally restored DVDs of Dragonball Z, an anime with even more adult content than Sailormoon! If Funimation gets a hold of Sailormoon, we can be treated to COMPLETE episodes, digitally cleaned up shots restoring the color and vibrancy of each frame, full dialogue, and maybe even some nice extras per disc, such as sketches, games or if we’re REALLY lucky…. interviews with the cast, crew and creator? ^.^ Let’s hope all goes well everyone!

WWE: Rey Mysterio Jr had succesful surgery to reattach his torn bicep muscle this week. Rey’s torn tendon had to be sutured to his elbow, and doctors have placed his return at 6-9 months. However, the 5′3 luchador is doing well, and ought to make a full recovery.

TNA: This week’s Impact featured Kurt Angle’s growing distaste with eSTRANGEd wife Karen. After yet another fight, Karen was found crying in Jeremy Borash’s arms. Later, in the main event that pitted Kurt vs. Kevin Nash, Karen got caught in the action, and may have suffered a bloody nose. Referee Earl Hebner showed no pity for Karen, and so she was escorted to the back by AJ Styles, who had earlier in the night asked Kurt to take back calling Karen a five letter word that means female dog. Kurt worked on Kev’s already battered legs~ a long standing weak point, and low-blowed him when he was distracted by Earl yelling at AJ. Kurt won with a simple pin. The card also saw Awesome Kong destroy Angelina Love. Love had it coming to her, not only because of her snotty demenor, but also since she already had warning from the Voodoo Queen Roxxi. Roxxi is well known for her sensitivity to upcoming danger, but her prediction Thursday was more based on logic. Jakie Moore had to help James Storm win a ladder match against Eric Young, when James suddenly became afraid of heights, anticipating his Ultimate X match with Rhyno next week. Jackie herself climbed the ladder, and got the belt FOR HIM, just to prove that anyone, even her, can overcome a fear of heights. James however was then gored by Rhyno, and Rhyno took the belt that James was given with him. Team 3D was filmed suffering through a relentless diet and mind training put together by Johnny Devine. Johnny challenged them to refuse candy, cake, cookies, ribs and other foods at stores and restaraunts, in favor of salad and carrots. But after a week of excersise, salad and water, Team 3D actually GAINED WEIGHT! TNA refuses to look at the fact that MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT, so of course when you put yourself on a tough regime like that, you look smaller, but you weigh more. Team 3D was unable to fight Curry Man and Shark Boy as a result. But the latter duo wanted a fight, and so wrestled against Black Reign and Rellik. The match went to Reign and Rellik, and a beatdown soon followed. Petey Williams and Scott Stiener won against Black Machismo Jay leathal and Sonjay Dutt, after Petey dropped the Canadian Destroyer on Sonjay. Samoa Joe was allowed at ringside for Kev’s match briefly, but otherwise Joe, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley were NOT booked. Hmm…

ROH: ROH World Heavyweight Champion Nigel Mcguiness is frustrated with fans who tell him to his face how they think he’s stupid for getting injured in his matches, and how they want to see Bryan more often. Nigel’s heart has sunk at how quickly people have turned on him, since the day he got the title. Without warning, fans have turned on him, well before Saturday’s heel turn. Nigel that day told the fans how he felt in New York, and almost left without fighting in protest of the unfair treatment, but Bryan challenged him to stay. During the match, Nigel punched the ref for a quick DQ, but was then greeted by several ROH wrestlers, including Delirious, Davey Richards, and even Austin Aries and Roderick Strong stood together again, threatening to band together and MAKE Nigel fight. ROH President Cary then ordered the match restarted, and Nigel won using a submission move.

Mixed Media: Fans were outraged as ESPN STUPIDLY choose to preempt AWA Thursday-into-Friday with a replay of College Basketball. AWA was joined with a match ending one hour after the show was supposed to start, and then led off into the main event. In other news, Brooke Hogan confirmed that the toabloids FOR ONCE were telling the truth, that her daddy Hulk Hogan had been seeing Brooke’s 33 year old friend. Brooke is distraught and hurt by both of their actions, and is pouring her frustrations over her overbearing and often times immature dad in her new songs that she is currently recording. *Sigh*…. 9_9

Well that does it for now. Man what an angry day Thursday was! As always, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Happy Leap Day!
