Hello Everyone! An extra day in the year, too bad this can’t happen more often every year, eh? Thursday was a rocky day, so you might walk away feeling peeved after this post.

Sailormoon: Talks are still ongoing with niether side wanting to spoil anything for us. So in the meantime, I want to talk about why Funimation’s bid for Sailormoon is crucial. Alot of you ask why Sailormoon was pulled from Cartoon Network many years ago. The answer is editing costs. When Sailormoon was first brought to North America, some moron thought that it would make more sense to cut it up and pander it to kids, rather than to add the show to an adult block.(Comedy Central had an adult cartoon block at the time, as did MTV and Cartoon Network’s adult black was just starting.) Sailormoon was ment for ADULTS as it contains ADULT humor, much of which is lost in the DiC episodes. The first 4 seasons were easy enough to splice, but the final season, Sailormoon StarS, was so chock full of nudity, sexual costumes, sexual references and death, that to edit the season down, they would have to cut OUT most of the cast and dwindle the whole thing down to about 9 episodes. >_O That’s why it’s important to get the series UNCENSORED, and why the talks between Geneon and Funimation are important! Funimation has done a complete 180 with their anime output, as they are still releasing UNCENSORED, digitally restored DVDs of Dragonball Z, an anime with even more adult content than Sailormoon! If Funimation gets a hold of Sailormoon, we can be treated to COMPLETE episodes, digitally cleaned up shots restoring the color and vibrancy of each frame, full dialogue, and maybe even some nice extras per disc, such as sketches, games or if we’re REALLY lucky…. interviews with the cast, crew and creator? ^.^ Let’s hope all goes well everyone!

WWE: Rey Mysterio Jr had succesful surgery to reattach his torn bicep muscle this week. Rey’s torn tendon had to be sutured to his elbow, and doctors have placed his return at 6-9 months. However, the 5′3 luchador is doing well, and ought to make a full recovery.

TNA: This week’s Impact featured Kurt Angle’s growing distaste with eSTRANGEd wife Karen. After yet another fight, Karen was found crying in Jeremy Borash’s arms. Later, in the main event that pitted Kurt vs. Kevin Nash, Karen got caught in the action, and may have suffered a bloody nose. Referee Earl Hebner showed no pity for Karen, and so she was escorted to the back by AJ Styles, who had earlier in the night asked Kurt to take back calling Karen a five letter word that means female dog. Kurt worked on Kev’s already battered legs~ a long standing weak point, and low-blowed him when he was distracted by Earl yelling at AJ. Kurt won with a simple pin. The card also saw Awesome Kong destroy Angelina Love. Love had it coming to her, not only because of her snotty demenor, but also since she already had warning from the Voodoo Queen Roxxi. Roxxi is well known for her sensitivity to upcoming danger, but her prediction Thursday was more based on logic. Jakie Moore had to help James Storm win a ladder match against Eric Young, when James suddenly became afraid of heights, anticipating his Ultimate X match with Rhyno next week. Jackie herself climbed the ladder, and got the belt FOR HIM, just to prove that anyone, even her, can overcome a fear of heights. James however was then gored by Rhyno, and Rhyno took the belt that James was given with him. Team 3D was filmed suffering through a relentless diet and mind training put together by Johnny Devine. Johnny challenged them to refuse candy, cake, cookies, ribs and other foods at stores and restaraunts, in favor of salad and carrots. But after a week of excersise, salad and water, Team 3D actually GAINED WEIGHT! TNA refuses to look at the fact that MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT, so of course when you put yourself on a tough regime like that, you look smaller, but you weigh more. Team 3D was unable to fight Curry Man and Shark Boy as a result. But the latter duo wanted a fight, and so wrestled against Black Reign and Rellik. The match went to Reign and Rellik, and a beatdown soon followed. Petey Williams and Scott Stiener won against Black Machismo Jay leathal and Sonjay Dutt, after Petey dropped the Canadian Destroyer on Sonjay. Samoa Joe was allowed at ringside for Kev’s match briefly, but otherwise Joe, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley were NOT booked. Hmm…

ROH: ROH World Heavyweight Champion Nigel Mcguiness is frustrated with fans who tell him to his face how they think he’s stupid for getting injured in his matches, and how they want to see Bryan more often. Nigel’s heart has sunk at how quickly people have turned on him, since the day he got the title. Without warning, fans have turned on him, well before Saturday’s heel turn. Nigel that day told the fans how he felt in New York, and almost left without fighting in protest of the unfair treatment, but Bryan challenged him to stay. During the match, Nigel punched the ref for a quick DQ, but was then greeted by several ROH wrestlers, including Delirious, Davey Richards, and even Austin Aries and Roderick Strong stood together again, threatening to band together and MAKE Nigel fight. ROH President Cary then ordered the match restarted, and Nigel won using a submission move.

Mixed Media: Fans were outraged as ESPN STUPIDLY choose to preempt AWA Thursday-into-Friday with a replay of College Basketball. AWA was joined with a match ending one hour after the show was supposed to start, and then led off into the main event. In other news, Brooke Hogan confirmed that the toabloids FOR ONCE were telling the truth, that her daddy Hulk Hogan had been seeing Brooke’s 33 year old friend. Brooke is distraught and hurt by both of their actions, and is pouring her frustrations over her overbearing and often times immature dad in her new songs that she is currently recording. *Sigh*…. 9_9

Well that does it for now. Man what an angry day Thursday was! As always, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Happy Leap Day!

Hello everyone! There wasn’t much for either Sailormoon or TNA today, so this will be a short read. Tomorrow’s post will have plenty of TNA news though, as for Sailormoon? Be patient! ^_^ Check today’s Mixed Media below for a DX note of controversy!!

WWE: Colin “I wish you had read the fine print” Delaney has reportedly signed a three year deal with the WWE. Colin, known in Chikara as Colin Olsen alongside twin Jimmy Olsen, has just this week been able to ditch the bandages and win one match with the aid of kind and thoughtful soul, Tommy Dreamer.

ROH: Rohwrestling.com provided fans with a clairification on Saturday’s show’s report. Sunny didn’t just try to recruit Austin Aries, she actually tried to seduce him. O.^ Stay tuned…

Mixed Media: ESPN Classic began airing AWA footage at 12/1 am today, with the first match featuring a 26 going on 27 year old Shawn Michaels… the taping was from March 4th, 1986. Are you with me? If he was turning 27 in 1986, then that means he will be turning 49 this summer. Yes, it’s official, The Heartbreak Kid is pushing 50. Speaking of 50 year olds, Hulk Hogan’s name was floated around in several tabloids this week, as a former friend of daughter Brooke’s, has told certain publications that she had an affair with the Hulkster! Brooke’s former friend, aged 33, claims she had a short and regrettable affair with Hulk sometime after estranged wife Linda had already moved away. Could this be some usual dumb publicity stunt, or has the Hulkster gone weird with dating his children’s friends? I’m sure we’ll all know by next week.

Well that pretty much does it for today. As always, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can.

Hello everyone! Still no news on the Sailormoon front, but remember, no news is good news!

WWE: WWE made an announcement online today, stating that starting this Fall, SmackDown! is moving to MyNetworkTv. SmackDown!, which had enjoyed a home with UPN/CW since 1999, was shockingly announced as one of several shows CW is dropping this year. CW is costing themselves a fortune, as SmackDown! was it’s highest rated show. In other news, ECW saw Kofi Kingston and Kelly Kelly win against Santino Marella and Layla, Miz and Morrison lose in a heated match against Tommy Dreamer and Colin Delaney~ on Colin’s first bandaid free night since his first WWE match several months ago, Stevie Richards took down the imposing Mike Knox of DSW fame, and C.M. Punk scored a title shot in a match against Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke. Punk’s music was drowned out by cheers of adoring fans during a standing ovation for Chicago’s own, and the crowd even stood in unison pointing, anytime Shelton or Elijah would try something from behind! After the bout, Punk was “greeted” by guest commentator and current ECW title holder, Chavo Guerrero.

TNA: Still no word on Abyss’s return (if ever). However, word has it that TNA is allowing some promoters to book Abyss for now. Hmmm~mmm…

ROH: Ring of Honor officials have apologized for Larry Sweeney’s antics over the weekend. Though details are still sketchy over exactly what he said to Allison Danger, reports indicate that it was less than acceptable. Larry is still lost on the term: HONOR. Also, The Age Of The Fall may be branded heels, but the emo members still understand the respect and appriciation that exists between fan and wrestler. Jimmy Jacobs recently posted a deep new video, and even shared a letter he recived (which you can view at rohwrestling.com) from a disabled fan, who has gained new courage through the AOTF’s blog.

Mixed Media: ESPN Classic will begin airing hour long AWA specials Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 12:00 am ct/1:00 am et. With the broad catalogue of superstars and legends to have graced the AWA and all of it’s incarnations, there’s no telling who you’ll see! Check your local listings and make sure you have ESPN Classic.

Well that pretty much does it for today. As always, stay clean and healthy, and read a good book when you can. ‘Till next time!

Hello everyone! Due to my personal battle with the cold, I was unable to blog Sunday. Sorry! But not to fear, there’s plenty of news on the wrestling side of things, so let’s get to it!

Sailormoon: Still no news. Since details are still so fresh on the Funimation story, the best thing any of us can do now is to be patient.

WWE: Just as I did with the TNA news this past Thursday, I’m going to have to separate the WWE news, just to get through it all! Raw saw Randy Orton, HHH and John Cena mae an attempt to have a nice photoshoot together. Obviously, this ISN’T AAA wrestling, where heels and faces are more prone to doing as they are told when it comes to pre-PPV photoshoots. The trio gave way to the exchange of words, followed by a small brawl, before Randy RKO’ed Cena and HHH. A tag team match between HHH and Cena vs. Randy and Mr. Kennedy would soon be signed. Bob “Hardcore” Holly and Cody Rhodes beat Santino Merella and Carlito when Santino was distracted by Maria helping Jerry The King Lawler. Chris Jericho won a high profile match against already Money in the Bank qualifier Jeff Hardy via a rollup pin. Jericho now joins Jeff Hardy, Ken Kennedy and Shelton Benjamin as contenders for the match that guarentees the winner a title shot at ANY time during the year he has won.* (* Provided of course that nobody takes that briefcase away, as in Edge taking the title shot a year ago from the TRUE winner, Kennedy.) Shawn “HBK” Michaels won a match via DQ against Lance Cade when Trevor Murdoch attacked HBK. Shawn’s nose was once again bloodied during the match. After the match, Ric Flair thanked Shawn for announcing last week Ric’s induction into the Hall Of Fame, and asked Shawn the face him at Wrestlemania. Shawn said that there are MANY things he has done his whole carrer long that he regrets and will always have to carry with him, but retiring Ric Flair shouldn’t be one of them. (That’s Shawn’s nice way of saying “They just NOW let me back inot Canada, dude!”) But Flair insisted that this could be the best match ever for the both of them, so Shawn accepted with a hug. Cena beat Kennedy with the STFU, but was then beaten down, as HHH looked on and did nadda.

WWE Why You Do US Like That?? News: In an attempt to quiet the public and make a quick buck off of a tormenting image, Vince came out during Raw and gave 3 quarters of an apology to the injured Hornswoggle. He then demanded that JBL come out and do the same, since it’s JBL’s fault Hornswoggle’s in the hospital to begin with. JBL however only commented that he wanted to hurt the boy sooner, and made it clear he has NO remorse. In a vague attempt to save his job, JBL said that the reson why he mauled the young talent, was because he had heard that hornswoggle is actually Finlay’s son, NOT Vince’s, and that although Hornswoggle has no clue Vince may not be his dad, that Finaly had been working with McMahon’s family this whole time trying to take the Chairman’s fortunes. He then threatened to prove his theory the next time Finaly shows up. Also on Raw, the son of the late Davey Boy Smith, D. H. Smith, was thrown against Umaga. WWE appears to be making an example out of Smith, for allegedly failing the wellness policy several months ago. At least, that’s their story, however Smith was one of several who made the same mistakes last year, and the others who had been pulled were mostly restored to their top tier positions upon a clean bill of health. Smith may be getting unfair treatment due to his age, one of a kind skill, and due to his family liniage. Smith would make a welcome addition to ANY other organization, and by trying to break him now, WWE is costing ONLY themselves a world of grief. In other news, Katie Lea and Paul Burchill’s new personas seem to be going smoothly. One problem, they are a storyline couple… AND storyline brother and sister. OMG O_O EWEWEWEWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

WWE HOF News: FINALLY! The late Peter Maivia and his fomer tag team partner Rocky Johnson will recive their LONG OVERDUE inductions this year. Peter, one of the most famous Samoan wrestlers of the Vincent J McMahon sr. era, was incredibly agile and wowed fans with his charm and extra strong style. His son in law Rocky was one of the first black men to hold the WWF (WWE) tag team titles. They will be inducted by Peter’s grandson and Rocky’s son, The Rock.

TNA: Not much to report today. Lots of speculation as to what happened at this week’s tapings, but I’ll wait until they air.

ROH: Details are plenty but sketchy coming off of this past weekend. Here are the highlights you should be aware of from Saturday: Zach Gowen wrestled Pelle Primeau, El Generico may be concussed following a brutal beatdown by Brent Albright, their match had to be stopped, due to how many times Brent kneed Generico in the head, Allison Danger made her very welcome return during Larry Sweeney’s new talk show, only to have Larry spurt out some very negative comments about her, beat her down, and then have Bobby Dempsey laid out on top of her. Delirious and Human Tornado have new enimies as they now duel with The Age Of The Fall, Kevin Steen made former MNM tag team member Joey Mathews (Mercury) tap, Austin Aries won a match against Go Shiozaki and then recieved offers to join either The Age Of The Fall, or a new group with Sunny. Austin will tell us when HE wants to. Sara Del Rey retains the Shimmer belt against Daizee, Davey Richards and Rocky Romero retain the ROH tag titles, Roderick Strong retains the FIP title, And the ENTIRE face half of the ROH lockerroom made sure that Nigel McGuinness would keep his match with Bryan Danielson, after the injured Nigel threatened to leave, since New York fans are famous for not caring what happens to whom, as long as they get what they want. (Comment taken from people who actually attend the shows And does NOT reflect The Rasslinkitty AT ALL.) Nigel retains the title. May 10th will see ROH stars square off in the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom where the ORIGINAL ECW once frequented.

Mixed Media: The Rock was a presenter at the Oscars Sunday, giving the award for best special effects in a motion picture. Also, well wishes go out to Sabu, who is nursing an injured hip and possibly leg. This may sideline him from a few AAA tapings. ESPN Classic the 26th and the 27th will continue to air classic UWF tapings, however early Thursday will air AWA Wrestling! Check your local listings, as it usually comes on after midnight in most markets, and see if your cable or satellite has an “autotune” feature!

Whew! Even though you just got through all of this, trust that there just might be even more next time! As always, stay clean and healthy, and read a good book when you can.

The Rasslinkitty

Hello everyone! Stop and go news day, expect staggered news and results until Monday or Tuesday. None the less, I will try to keep you up to date on the news that matters.

Sailormoon: Nothing to report today, but they say no news is good news, especially with talks resuming over a new US distribution of Sailormoon. Which reminds me, if the series comes back in the US, should the logo stay the same, or should it reflect the more appropriate title of “Sailormoon” as opposed to “Sailor Moon”. An odd question, but what do you think?

WWE: Hornswoggle is still out with reported brain swelling and a definate hemorrage. It looks as though his carrer is already over. By not testing the TOP talent for brain dysfunctions, diseases and by NOT testing the same TOP talent for incompatible Rx crossings, the WWE is taking a HUGE risk, one which will end TOO MANY more carrers, such as the young Hornswoggle. In other news, Rey Mysterio was forced into a match on SmackDown! this week with former friend Chavo. Though Chavo was quick to work on Rey’s injury, Rey scored a pinfall using his legs. His farewell match victory was squashed when Big Show attacked Rey and stepped on his arm at the order of GM Vicky. Also on the card, Shelton scored a victory over Jimmy Wang Yang, and now joins Ken Kennedy and Jeff Hardy as this year’s Money In The Bank match at Wrestlemania. Jesse and Festus dominated over Deuce and Domino, but Jesse paid the price with an injured nose. It was bleeding through the high spots of the match and may be broken. And Batista won in a match against MVP.

TNA: Not much to report, other than TNA wants to retract yesterday’s story on Tommy Dreamer and Nunzio being at a house show, over fear that WWE may cause problems for both TNA and the aforementioned wrestlers. Can’t y’all just play nice? (Dodges bottles)

ROH: You can quit pinching yourself, it’s not a dream… but a miracle! My first post about Alex Shelley And Chris Sabin was 100% true! If all goes well, the Motor City Machine Guns will face off against the Briscoe Bros. this April!!

OVW: Raw’s Katie Lea just won the OVW title, and Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore is an OVW title holder as well, following this week’s tapings. With WWE-owned talent about to be shipped to FCW in a matter of moments, the dying OVW is planning to go out with fists swinging, as the multi-year WWE deal fades away.

Well, that’s pretty much it. As always, stay clean and healthy, and read a good book when you can. Until next time!

Hello everyone! Today was a slow news day, so this will be a short read for you.

Sailormoon: Not much news as of yet, but here’s a hot topic for you. If EVER Toei and BandaiNamco reach a deal on a new game, should the movie characters have their own mini-levels? I.E. a bonus adventure mode after the main story mode has been cleared~ or should the movies be incorpperated with the main storyline? Think about it, you could just about fit each movie and special in with some simple editing.

Sailormoon R the movie could be spliced in after the Senshi and Tuxedo Mask are brought back to present day Tokyo after Wiseman’s death, but before Chibiusa leaves.

Sailormoon S the movie can be fit in before Hotaru dissapears from her home, and the manga version takes place right before Sailormoon SuperS.

Sailormoon SuperS the movie fits in right after Pegasus leaves, and before Galaxia’s story begins.

What do you think? Separate or splice?

WWE: Since only a few markets have picked up SmackDown! on time this week, I will withold most of the spoilers until Saturday-Sunday the 23rd. I’ll have tons of wrestling news then. What I will spoil for you though is that due to needing MORE surgery this weekend, Rey Mysterio Jr is slated in this week’s episode to give a farewell speech. Rey has had a rough couple of years, and this is his third sidelining injury in a year. Rey will most likely miss Wrestlemainia, as he might be out of action for up to 6 months. With Rey, Rory, Hornswoggle and  Funaki injured, not to mention several people on the main roster right now in need of medical attention, Vince McMahon’s focus should be centered on the people who keep injuring his stars! Most injuries are accidental in nature, but some of these are the result of either talent PURPOSLEY putting people out (JBL, Randy Orton, Edge) or the result of younger stars being pushed too hard, too soon, in need of more competant training.

TNA: In a cute tale of friendship outlasting corperations, WWE’s Nunzio and Tommy Dreamer were spotted at a recent TNA show. The original ECW alumni were greeted during the show by Brother Ray (Buh-Buh Dudley). Proof positive that money and fame can never outlive your adopted family.

ROH: Saturday will be quite intense as ROH enters it’s 6th year! Check back here sometime after Sunday for details! In the meantime, many more major retailers are now carrying ROH DVD’s, some of which have some VERY high profile superstars. Ask your local mall video/DVD stores for Ring Of Honor!!

Like I said, today was a slow news day. As always, stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can!

The Rasslinkitty

Hello everyone! ^_^ Today was filled with all sorts of notes and news, so let’s get right to it!

Sailormoon: Talks are still going on between Geneon and Funimation. Meanwhile Toei Animation remains tight-lipped on ANYTHING to do with their best loved animes. Though nothing is set in stone, fans worldwide are still hoping that the 2007 merger between BanDai and Namco might still bear fruit for the Sailormoon future. Fans over Christmas break voiced their opinions, and everyone wants to see a new fighting or RPG game that would feature characters that are currently manga and artbook only. Sailor Cosmos, Kousagi, Diana Moon Fairy and Sailor Heavy Metal Papillion are just some of the few characters fans are craving should a new anime or game come about. (Listening Toei?? Onegai Onegai ONEGAI!!!)

WWE: Hornswoggle remains under extreme care in a medical facility, said to be near or in California. The youngest McMahon is said to be complaining of headaches and dizzy spells, and doctors fear more brain damage. And just as his condition worsens, he is joined by others on the too-quick-to-grow injury list, as Funaki is now out of action with a busted nose after a dark match against Vladmir Koslov. Koslov, who was featured briefly on WWE TV last year, hit the fan favorite Funaki hard enough that Funaki needed stitches to close his wound and may have also broken it. Rory of the Highlanders is recovering from major surgery for his pectoral muscle. Rory, who unwittingly scored his own fanbase with partner Robbie shortly after his RAW debut, will be out of action at least 6 months. Paul London, although already back on the main roster, is still nursing a damaged foot. Though he’s a trooper, calling London back so soon may be a HUGE mistake, as he’s not yet 100%. Good luck everyone! On a lighter note, OVW plans to go out with a dreamy sigh, as this week they welcomed back Nick “Eugene Bischoff” Dinsmore.

TNA: Today’s TNA news will have to be split in half. This will cut your reading time down, and make it easier to adjust to. Okay? Sorry for the trouble! Anyway, onto the main roster news. Samoa Joe, who has actually been more than kind to TNA’s demands since his debut, has made his decision on the contract ordeal. In lieu of asking for a title shot, or more money like most people would, Joe has stepped it up, telling Commisioner Jim Cornette that if he doesn’t OWN the Heavyweight title by the end of April’s Lockdown PPV, that he is WALKING. Could this mean his long dreamed of ROH return?? Stay tuned! Also, the team of Gail Kim and ODB is at a quick end, after the duo were outsmarted by the timid Roxxi Leveau, and the hardcore Jackie Moore. Gail and ODB are former OVW alumni, so this rivalry may have been a few years in the making. Curry Man and Shark Boy were once more cheated out of a win, when Devon gave Brother Ray (Buh-buh Dudley) a scale to knock them out with. This would have been a 2 on 2 match, had it not been for the fact that a new rule was called forth some time ago, now making it impossible for anyone over a specific weight limit to enter a contest against an X Division star. Can we say “Discrimination Lawsuit”? This storyline is unfair to heavy people, and now puts a limit on the X Division, ironic since they were about NO LIMITS PEOPLE!!! Also, Booker T was gyped out of an easy win over Kurt Angle, when Bobby Rude distracted him. Bobby’s antics backfired however, as Christian and Samoa Joe helped keep Kurt at bay while Booker T whomped on Bobby Rude. As Tomko came down to aid Kurt, Kevin Nash (feeling left out) grabbed a mic and told Kurt he’ll see him in the ring next week. Also Kaz was attacked ruthlessly by Black Reign (Dustin “Goldust” Runnels) and Rellik. (Johnny Stamboli)

TNA Jealosy: It’s easier to separate this sometimes. :-P AJ Styles took Karen on a Honeymoon Date, after she had a bitter arguement with Kurt over well, nothing really. AJ took Karen to Subway, a Gator pit and showed her his playful side, before giving her a peck on the cheek goodnight, and skipping alone to his hotel room. Before his goodnights, he did tell Karen that if she really was his wife …. legally … that he’d make her happy. Karen, still legally married to Kurt seems to be falling for her “spare” husband AJ. AJ of course kept her at a friendly distance, since he’s smart enough to know that bigamy is illegal in the US, and that Karen took a big risk when she didn’t stop the preacher in time last week. Also, Black Machismo (Jay Leathal) was honored by TNA for saving the X Division. After thanking Christopher Daniels (Curry Man), AJ, Jerry Lynn, Alex Shelly and Chris Sabin, and also thanking his best friend Sonjay Dutt, he then asked So Cal Val to the ring, got down on one knee and asked her for a date. She agreed gleefully, but this seems to have left Sonjay in a bad mood. Sonjay has had a crush on her since TNA began, but she has always had her eyes on Leathal. Could the former Major League Wrestling sensation be plotting a devious plot??

ROH: HUGE HAPPY NEWS!!!! :-) Just when things couldn’t get anymore exciting with the 6 year anniversary on Saturday, the heat rises with the HAPPY news of several returns!!! After nearly one year since their last ROH appearance, current TNA X Division stars Alex “Baby Bear” Shelly and Chris Sabin are set for apperances in the midwest this April! They’ve set their sights on a rematch with the Briscoe Bros. a match that will be FILLED with intensity. Also, after a brief sabatical as TNA’s Payton, Rain has resurfaced in FIP, leaving the YRR for the Age of The Fall with long time BFF Lacey. Speaking of whom, Lacey’s new rival Tammy “Sunny” Sytch is headed for ROH this Saturday! Sunny is a fan of ROH’s style, but the last time she came, she was greeted not so sweetly by the petite Lacey. Could Sunny’s visit spark a fire with Lacey? Time will tell. Also, Dave Prazak will no longer be managing in FIP. Dave lost his license to manage but will continue his colorful commentary. Saturday will see Ruckus and Jigsaw w/ Julius Smokes battle for the ROH Tag Team titles against Davey Richards and Rocky Romero. If the Vulture Squad members are unable to gain the belts, Julius has said that Jigsaw will unmask! :-O What shocking developments!! Also, Larry Sweeney has yet to announce a name for his new talk show. Aside from that, he says he has plans for Bobby Dempsey. The blonde locked high flyer has been picked on constantly by Larry Sweeney, Chris Hero and Tank Toland over his size, though he has lost quite a bit of weight. What plans could Larry have in store for Bobby, and could it be time for Bobby to break free of Sweet and Sour’s hold? Also, Bryan Danielson has been adding to his list of moves by adapting a more MMA themed style. The American Dragon is best known for his sneaky tricks and his old school style, but MMA is a far cry from honerable tactics. With more wretslers adapting this style, one can only hope that the injury list won’t double anytime soon….

Mixed Media: For those of you with DirecTV or who otherwise pick up Sports Time Ohio, rember that this weekend is another episode of PWO. Some tapings have been repeats, but on occasion, the low budget group features ROH stars Matt Cross aka M-Dogg 20 and The Irish Airbourne, and last year was treated to a rare match with Luna Vachon. They once had Honkey Tonk Man and Blue Meanie, and have a group of lesser known wrestlers, who wish to really shine.

Whew! That was alot to type out! Well remember to stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. Until next time!

Hello everyone! Although I’m still adjusting to the blog format, rest assured if you like Sailormoon and if you like wrestling, then this is the news blog for you!

Sailormoon: No word yet on the talks between Funimation, Geneon and Toei, but anything can change in an instant. Currently, the hottest properties are the anime and manga, as Tokyopop wants to renegotiate with Kodansha and Naoko Takeuchi for a new license to the series. Tokyopop, which was branched off from Mixx and who’s Smile publication has had a cult following, wants to gain rights not only for the original manga, but the artbooks and reprints too! Could this be the first step to Codename Sailor V’s US debut? This writer hopes so!

On an unrelated note, the arrival and departure of many seasons of “reality” tv had me wondering today. If YOU were headed to Survivor with a small tv and a DVD player, and someone offered to burn you a LEGAL copy of just ONE Sailormoon episode or movie, which one would you choose? Think hard, it would be your ONLY entertainment for a month. Think you know which one is your ultimate never-get-tired-of-it episode? Leave a comment for me at the end of today’s news column, ‘kay? ^_^

WWE: Shock and horror has filled the wrestling world tonight as more information on the condition of Hornswoggle McMahon becomes available. For those of you who missed the Feb. 18 edition of Raw Monday night, Hornswoggle was scheduled to face his storyline father Vince in a cage match. Former WCW star Dave “Fit” Finlay tried to stop the contest from happening, when he was attacked and handcuffed to the ropes by JBL. Vince had begun whipping Hornswoggle with his belt, in an attempt to turn the match into a comedy routine, but quickly lost control of the spectacle, as JBL broke storyline, grabbed the youngest McMahon, and began beating him and kicking him ruthlessly. He then flung Hornswoggle’s limp body into the cage side. He continued to kick the man, until Vince began screaming for an end to this mauling. Vince then screamed for help~ a move Vince has NEVER even done for blood children Shane and Stephanie. Once Finlay was freed, he helped EMT’s carry Hornswoggle’s body to an ambulance. Hornswoggle went into shock, but the shock has since worn off. However, as Tazz and Joey Styles announced on ECW Feb. 19, Hornswoggle is said to be in and out of conciousness, and may have suffered bleeding in his brain. With injury this severe, it is apperant that his carrer may be over, as you CAN’T subject yourself to being a wrestler once your brain has suffered this badly, without risking certain doom. Prayers and best wishes go out to Hornswoggle aka Shortstack for a smooth recovery!! Get well soon!

With JBL’s recent string of senless violence followed by fits of anger, one can’t but worry if it’s time a CAT scan becomes part of the wellness program. If it can save a life, or even a carrer, it’s more than worth it. Hornswoggle is barely in his early 20’s and already his carrer is close to over, thanks to a 6′6 man with issues.

In other news, ECW saw a hot crowd rally behind CM Punk, many fans even had ROH signs in honor of Punk’s legacy! Punk teamed up with Ric Flair to defeat Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke. Another star with a growing fanbase is Kofi Kingston, who defeated Jason Riggs in singles competition. Kofi has only been on the roster for a short time, yet with his high flying acrobatics, winning smile and strong gimmick, Kofi already has the ability to walk into any organization he chooses and work his way up. Stevie Richards also enjoyed a well earned victory over James Curtis and Miz and Morrison won in a fluke victory over Tommy Dreamer and the perpetually picked on Colin Delaney. (aka Colin Olson of Chikara & PWO fame)

TNA: Newcomer Rhaka Kahn has officially gotten her first TNA bio on TNA’s roster page. With her sleek supermodel face and tough as nails demenor, she makes a nice yin to Scott Stiener’s yang. Thursday night’s Impact will see an update on the “honeymoon” of AJ Styles and Karen Angle. This won’t end well for the former X division champion. Also, Kurt Angle recently lost the IWGP title from Japan. No word yet on whether or not TNA will add this to it’s television programs.

ROH: Congrats to No Remorse Corp. leader Roderick Strong for winning back the FIP title from Erick Stevens this week! Roderick has a LONG history with FIP and it’s title, and the bid to get the belt back again from him will be a hot one! Congrats to ROH as Saturday marks the company’s 6th year!! ^_^ Saturday in New York will see Bryan Danielson face Nigel McGuiness for the title. Also, Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black and Lacey will NOT be in action that night, HOWEVER they WILL be a focal point of the show, as their group The Age Of The Fall, wishes to make an unforgettable impact Saturday. With Jimmy’s freaktastic method of strategy, fans are guaranteed a night to remember… forever! Also Saturday will see Davey Richards and Rocky Romero of The No Remorse Corp. put their tag team gold on the line against the Vulture Squad of Ruckus and Jigsaw as led by manager Julius Smokes. Smokes, a longtime friend of TNA star and former ROH alumni Homicide, wants to turn the team around in his home state after one trying time. With the team’s founder Jack Evans still recovering from major facial injuries in Japan, and Ruckus still recovering from a freak case of pneumonia, Smokes wants to bring the team’s spirit to the forefront.

Mixed Media: Need an exciting read? Lance Storm has been on a roll recently with his own take on TNA and WWE. The Canadian legend who graced the original WCW and ECW and who has appeared in ROH has been enlightening fans with well written commentaries.

Well that pretty much wraps up this commentary. Remember to stay clean and healthy and read a good book when you can. ^_^

The Rasslinkitty

Hello everyone! How do you like my new blog? It might take me a few days before I’m totally comfortable, so please bear with me. ^_^; Now onto our top stories:

Sailormoon News: For those of you not yet subscribed to sanriotown.com’s Sailormoon Newsletter, I reported not that long ago a breakthrough in the quest to bring back Sailormoon! Geneon (formally Pioneer) is ditching it’s anime DVD line. Now as sad as that is, the main news here is that the first company biting at the bit for Geneon’s leftovers is none other than Funimation, who has recently had an overhaul in it’s production of anime for the US. Funimation, who is re-releasing the Dragonball Z series in it’s proper UNCUT, UNCENSORED, JAPANESE SUBTITLED goodness, wants a crack at Geneon’s goodies, the first of which is SAILORMOON! That’s right folks! Although Toei has a lockdown on almost everything Sailormoon, Geneon stil holds SOME rights to the series via the movies. If Funimation gets a hold of series’ such as Sailormoon and Tenchi Muyo through Geneon, we can be treated to uncensored glory! And since Funimation’s ties to Cartoon Network are still strong with currently running hits such as DBZ reruns, One Piece and the rare run of Yu Yu Hakusho, this could be the return of returns for Sailormoon. Uncut on an ADULT block? Now THAT would be a slice of Heaven, don’t you think? Stay tuned!

Also, congratulations are in order for personal friend Codename Sailor Earth, who’s site Moon Sisters just celebrated it’s 3rd year anniversary! ^_^ The site owned and created by her, is all about Kousagi, Chibiusa and Chibi Chibi, yet also features all the other characters, downloads, the Parallel Sailormoon manga in English and everyone’s favorite, the gallery! If you haven’t seen it yet, the adress is http://members.aol.com/mykoriake/moonsisters/moonsisters.html

WWE: Sunday’s No Way Out PPV was considered a minor flop. Many matches were out of place on the card, as the show opened with two back-to-back main events. Quick skinny: Chavo retains ECW title against former ROH star C.M. Punk, Flair makes Kennedy tap, Undertaker earns a well deserved title shot at Wrestlemania, HHH gets a shot also, Cena wins via DQ, Kane wrestled in a dark match,  Edge beats Rey Mysterio Jr. Big Show made a surprise debut at the PPV, only to have his nose broken by boxer Floyd Mayweather. Speedy recovery Big Show! We missed you! Also a speedy recovery goes out to Hornswoggle McMahon (formerly known on the indies as Shortstack) who was tossed ruthlessly into a cage by JBL during Raw. However, the youngest McMahon also gets congrats to him, for making PWI’s Rookie of the year. Way to go!

TNA: Abyss shocked the world this past Thursday night by walking out of a match with Scott Stiener and unmasking! With all the torture he’s gone through over the past year with Sting, James Mitchell and Mesias, Abyss seems ready for a much needed change. Also thinking of change could be ROH legend Samoa Joe! Joe has yet to sign again with TNA, and considering the fact that they have dangled his well earned title shot in front of his nose since his debut, and the fact that so much airtime has been snatched away from hard working wrestlers and given to those who aren’t so willing to give it their all, can you blame him? Of course not. Joe and the X division superstars need to be treated more like top wrestlers and less like kids. Of course, if Joe and the others were to waltz back into ROH, the fans would gleefully follow. (Hint…hint…) In other news: In an attempt to save his marriage, Kurt Angle tried to re-wed Karen on Impact. Joe and Kevin Nash tried to break it up, and in all the confusion, the preacher married AJ Styles to Karen!! (Mrs. AJ must be pretty upset.) AJ has had to endure many setbacks since teaming up with the two main factions of Christian’s Coalition and Angle’s Alliance, what with being forced into bad costumes and playing ref to Kurt’s many many squabbles, but has the torture of AJ Styles gone too far? I think it’s time for the Phenominal One to stand alone once more.

ROH: Bryan Danielson is only a few days shy of his title shot against Nigel Mcguiness. With both competitors having each survived against superstar Takeshi Morishima, fans are going to be treated to a 5 star match for sure! Also, Sweet N’ Sour Inc’s Larry Sweeny debuts a new talk show this week. The carpet headed manager wants to convince fans that the Intergender Titles are legit, having his team put their “titles” on the line against tag teams of one man and one woman. (Or two dudes he doesn’t like much.) How much more can Bobby Dempsey stand with this group? Only time will tell. Also KUDOS to Pelle Primeau for making runner up in the PWI rookie of the year bid. Fans have adored this kid’s ability to fly in the ring since his debut in ROH, and his rivalry with Shane Hagadorn of the Hangmen 3 (okay, 4) is red hot!

Mixed Media: Speedy recovery goes out to Xpac and Scott Hall, who are said to be in recovery from some harsh demons. Good luck guys! With several stars now having problems with their health, the government’s focus should be less on athletes and more on doctors and pharmicies, who keep pushing pills on their patients with little or no care as to wheather or not certain pills will make a bad reaction. Many doctors now send people off with a Rx before the patient even has a moment to tell the doctor what hurts! Too many of my friends and family have fallen prey to general practioners with huge car payments, and now my heroes too? Someone needs to crack down on what’s in these pills and start pulling them from pharmacies, before somebody else suffers. Did you know that the average Rx painkiller has trace amounts of steroids? Look it up sometime, it might save a life. Next time you point a finger at a sports star on ‘roids, stop and ask youself how she/he got it. They might have come from the “friendly” neighborhood doctor.

And for those of you who are doctors, always remember to listen to the patient FIRST, and save the pills and surgery for those who ACTUALLY need it. It could save their lives and earn you a trusted friend. ^.^ It’s a hard job, but taking your time is important. You’re trusted.

Well, that’s it for now, remember to stay clean and healthy, and read a good book when you can! Peace everyone!
