A Fatal Mistake

Tarran was calling her again; Lucid had taken the whole week off to avoid him and Ivy. Tarran had called her day after day, texting her and emailing her, she was feeling so sick. That was when Ruby called her and she picked up, she said hello groggily. “D!!!!!!!!!! Where have you’ve been!!?? Tarran has been sooooooo worried about you and you haven’t been answering any of his calls. Ivy has been hanging out with us too much and hanging out with Tarran, but of course he just ignores her for you. Seriously, if you don’t come soon, you’re going to lose him.” She yelled. “I know I know, but I have to ignore him.” I groaned. “WHY??!!!” she shouted. “Ivy is what, I’m so afraid that might ruin me at school, so I ignore her.” I said sadly. “Awww D!!!!! You have us and the guys with you, we will protect you and stop her!!!!” she said triumphantly. “Aww, well thanks Ruby, I might come back” I said. The doorbell rang, Deev raced out very very fast and he groaned and called for me through our monitor in our rooms. I brushed my hair and put it in a ponytail; I was wearing a plain blue tee and a white flouncy skirt with light blue flats. I sighed and came down practically trudging and who I saw at the door amazed me. It was Tarran, his black hair looked like a raven’s feathers was sleeked back, and his eyes looked like fresh soft moss. He wore a black leather jacket, faded jeans, black sneakers and a dark blue cap. “Lucid” he said with a wide grin. Very soon, she was in his arms, her face buried in his jacket, he stroked her hair and kissed it. He pulled her face away from his jacket, their lips just inches away and she leaned in. The whole world vanished, all she could think was Tarran, and the kiss was warm, sweet, magical and lovely. He wrapped his arms around her tightly, she did too and then they pulled away from each other at the same time. “I’ve missed you so much and been so worried about you” he whispered softly. “I’m sorry, but I had to stay home and I’ve missed you too.” She said. “I thought. . . thought you might never want to see me again because I did something or you wanted to stay away from me and the others got worried too.” He said. “No, no, no! Tarran I want to be with you and I would never last a second without you and I guess I’ve fallen in love with you.” She whispered and she looked away embarrassed. He put his hand on her chin and turned her face towards him, his face full with gratefulness, love, warmth, and excitement. “I. . . . I don’t know what to say” he spoke. She laughed. “You just said something!” she said. He laughed too. “Yes I did” he agreed, he put his right arm around her and pulled her close. She felt his breath on her neck and she knew he was tempted to kiss it; she pulled away her hair to reveal a pure bare neck. She felt his lips on her neck, he was kissing it and she moaned with love, she loved it. His lips moved to her upper neck, soon to her cheek and near her lips and she turned slightly. He reached her lips and took her into his arms and she wanted to be like this forever. I love him she thought, I can’t bear to be without him and I don’t care about Ivy, I want to be with him. “I realized that I love you Lucid” he said against her lips. Her eyes were filled with hot tears; she pulled away from him which left him shocked. “I love you too” she whispered and leaned in again. He smiled, they started kissing again and they stood there for 10 minutes, not letting each other go. Finally, Tarran pulled away and his face showed anger and sadness. “What’s wrong?” she asked. “You left me, you never came to school, or answered my calls or texts and you avoided us, how could you Lucid?” he asked with a hint of anger. “I’m sorry, I was running away from something” she quietly whispered. “Running away from what?” he asked protectively. “Ivy” I blurted out. “Lucid, I would never fall for Ivy because I love you and Ivy has been a pain. She’s been saying that you and I broke up and she’s together with me and she’s now the most popular girl in school. She hangs out with us too much; she’s always linking with my arms whenever I walk down the hall, please come back” he pleaded. Her eyes went wide, Ivy did all this she thought, and well I’m coming back and so watch out Ivy. She went to school wearing black combats, white checkered sweater and inside was a red halter. Her hair was loose so my swirls would be flying everywhere, black skinny jeans and a lot of accessories and pink shiny lip gloss with black eye shadow and eyeliner. She had a perfect bag that was pretty and it was good for holding school stuff, her cheeks had pink blush on it and she knew she looked good, really good. When she came out of the car, people were outside and they gasped at the sight of her, she saw Ruby and Pearl at the gate and walked towards, without caring for the gazes and people. “D!!!!!!” Ruby yelled when she saw her and gave her a big hug. “We missed you!!!” Pearl exclaimed and also put her arms around her. “Omygosh, you look totally smokin hot!!!! Boys all over the school will flip once they’ve seen you!” Ruby exclaimed. “So true Rube, go Lucy!!!!!!!” Pearl shouted and put her fist in the air. “Ha ha ha ha very funny” she faked, though it was true that she was going to walk all over Ivy. “Look her she comes now” Pearl whispered. I turned and saw her, her red hair was all curly, she wore red blush, lipstick, eye shadow and eyeliner. She had a super short blue checkered skirt, a tank top with a silver jacket and beady sandals. Her eyes went dark when she saw me, she looked down at her outfit and went pale, and I smirked at her and walked off. Tarran was at his locker getting his stuff, I sneaked behind him and closed his eyes with my hands and he gasped. “What?? Who is this” he asked. I laughed and turned him my way and kissed him, he at first didn’t get the message and tried to shake me off. I stroked his face, he seemed to figure out who I was because he stopped struggling and started kissing me back. I stopped and got close to his right ear. “Guess who” she whispered. “Lucid?” he asked with a voice of happiness and excitement. I took my hands off him, he opened his moss green eyes and it went wide. He took me in his arms, carried me up and spun around and he laughed. I kissed him again, he finally put me down and put his hands on my face and took me closer to him. They stopped and just stood there, he hugged me so tightly. I saw Ivy standing across from us; she looked furious, pale, and sad. I smirked at her and mouthed her to stay away from us and waved her off. She stomped her right foot, her curls went frizzy and she walked away practically running over anyone who stood in her way. “I’m so glad you came” he said after they were done kissing and hugging. “I did it for you, I wouldn’t want Ivy to get in the way of our relationship” she replied. “Of course, I love you, Lucid Natalie Conner and I will never let you out of my sight” he said with a force of love, protectiveness and he kissed my hand. They joined the crew who were talking about something urgently and they looked up at us and smiled widely. “Yo Lucy!!!!” the guys said. “Lucy, the elections for class president is coming up, are you joining???” Sapphire asked. “YES!” she practically shrieked. “Awesome!!!!!” they said. “Let’s start planning because Ivy also signed up, ugh the girl looks ugly today” Emerald mused. “No more than usual” Turquoise snorted. “Also there’s another election, for boys” Peridot chimed. “So…. That means Tarran can also win that election, a queen class president and king! How cool!” Topaz exclaimed. “This means Tarran’s rival is Jake. Oh joy” Sapphire said. I gulped, I haven’t heard from Jake for a while and I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to like what was going to happen. Amethyst must have seen my worried face because she hugged me. “Don’t worry D, everything will be fine” she whispered. “Thanks” I whispered back and hugged her. They all agreed to meet at Lucid’s house to work on their materials, they went to their homeroom. Mr. Loase talked on and on about the elections, almost everyone was asleep until he finally called for any nominates. Instantly hands shot up and she realized most of them were her friends. “Topaz” he called. “I nominate Lucid” she said. “I second that!” Ruby called. “I third that!” Tarran yelled with a force of love. “I fourth that!!” Zane shouted from the back. “I fifth that!!!!” Shane yelled and put his fist up. “Alright, alright that’s enough, Lucid you will be our 1st challenger.” Mr. Loase said. “I nominate Ivy!!!!!!!!” a friend of Ivy’s yelled. Ivy’s eyes twinkled and clearly she was pleased and she looked at Tarran expectantly. “I second that!!” another friend said. “I third that!” said one. “I nominate Blair!” Christy said. Blair used to be the most popular girl in school before I came; she had long brown curly hair with crystal blue eyes, dark pink lips, and long thick brown eyelashes. She looked embarrassed, clearly her friends wanted her to reign again and overpower me, not going to happen I thought. I looked at my friends, they shook their heads and rolled their eyes, apparently they were thinking the same thing and I smiled. “I second that” Misty said. “I third that!” Chelsea said. “Ok we have Lucid, Ivy and Blair anyone else?” Mr. Loase asked. No one said anything and he cleared his throat. “Second election, the boys” he said and cleared his glasses. My hand shot up in an instant. “Lucid” he called. “I nominate Tarran!” she shouted. “I second that.” Jack said. “I third that!” Hart yelled. “I fourth that!!!!” Emerald shouted. “I fifth that” Pearl agreed. “I sixth that” Luke and Justin told at the exact same time. Ivy was about to say something, until Mr. Loase interrupted her. “Ok we have Tarran, anyone else?” he asked. I looked at Tarran, he was smiling because I said it first and I smiled back. “I nominate Jake” Alex called. “I second that” Shawn said. “I third that” Drew agreed. I looked down at the floor, she couldn’t face him and Amethyst gave me a reassuring smile again that everything would be fine. “I nominate Ben Buckley” Mark said. Ben Buckley was the 2nd smartest in the school, he was a bit cute, he wore his glasses only in class and he could see well without them, but his eyesight was a little bit blurry when it came to class. It would fit perfectly that he was going to be nominated and he flushed, he didn’t expect to be nominated. “I second that” Baron said. “I third that” Beatrice called. Beatrice was his sister, but she had perfect eyesight so she didn’t need glasses. Ben had chestnut hair, hazel eyes, tan skin and straight teeth, Beatrice had caramel hair, same hazel eyes, same skin, and same teeth they were much alike, but Beatrice was more popular and had caramel hair than her brother. “So we have Tarran, Jake and Ben anyone else?” he asked. No one said anything and he submitted the people from his laptop. “Also as you know, the winter dance is coming up, we are submitting people from these ballads. We have names here that have been nominated by the teachers and student council and so we want you to circle the names that you want to be the 5 princesses and queen. All the girls and boys have to circle names for the 5 princesses, princes, queen and king. Got it?” he explained. I saw my name on the ballad for queen, unfortunately you weren’t suppose to circle your own name, and I saw Blair’s and Ivy’s. I circled Tarran for king of course, Zane, Shane, Hart, Luke and Justin for princes. I circled Ruby, Topaz, Sapphire, Pearl and Emerald for princesses and for queen; I circled Amethyst because she might win. I turned around, they looked at me and nodded, they voted me for queen and I grinned. “Everyone done? Now pass up the ballads please” he said when everyone nodded. For the rest of the 4 days, her friends went to her house afterschool and worked on our campaign, we were pretty much wiping Ivy. When it was election time, the girls cheered for me the loudest as well as others, I spoke my speech, then Ivy and lastly Blair. It was the boy’s turn, we cheered for Tarran, and he said his speech, Jake who looked extremely cute, his tousled light blond hair was all over his moon eyes and girls shrieked for him and then Ben. “We have our votes, the girl class president is……..Lucid Natalie Conner” our principal told. My friends screamed, the boys whooped for me and so did others, Ivy was extremely pissed off. “For boys, we have…. Tarran Wilson” the principal said. We all screamed for him, Jake looked blank like a paper. “Congrats to our new class presidents!” the principal congratulated. They all clapped, but our friends screamed for us, Blair shook hands with me, but Ivy just walked away. Ben and Jake shook hands with Tarran; Jake looked at me then left. I felt very sad, she loved Tarran, but her heart kind of ached for Jake. She looked deep within her heart and remembered when she first met him. She was in 1st grade with no friends, she was very shy and yet she was known to be the prettiest. She was on the swings alone because she answered the correct question in class and she got to go out of class for recess early. She swung too hard and she fell off, a boy’s face was in front of her and helped her up. The boy had shiny light blond hair, with eyes like the moon and a light skin. “Are you ok?” he asked. I nodded still shocked by the boy’s appearance, back then I knew that Jake was to be my future boyfriend. “I’m Jake Loyde, how about you?” he grinned. “I’m Lucid Natalie Conner” she answered. They became good friends, she was so happy that she wasn’t alone anymore, and she saw in his eyes what he saw in her. He saw a girl with silky blond hair with swirly curls, silvery blue eyes, long thick black eyelashes, rose red lips and a light and dark skin. She was brave, sweet, nice, shy, pretty, smart, fast, and gallant when it came to animals. She had honor, courage, wisdom, compassion, care, love, abilities, control, kindness and attitude. He thought she was haloed with flame and silver and he fell in love with her. They had been friends forever with the others until 7th grade where Jake finally admitted his feelings for her. They were celebrating the last day of 7th grade in class, there was a big dance and he asked her out to dance with him. They were slow dancing, his strong broad arms around her waist, her face relaxing on his shoulder and his face in her hair. After the song ended, he led her outside where the cool air and space was just what she needed. “Lucid, I need to tell you something” Jake said slowly. “What is it?” she asked, she had been dreaming of this day since she first met him. “I……I like you Lucid, I want to be with you, I want to have you at my side at all times” he confessed looking a bit embarrassed. The way Jake said it filled her heart with love, she rushed towards him and there they had their 1st kiss. It was slimy, but it soon turned sweet and warm and she held his hands tightly. “I like you too Jake, I want to be with you and share my life with you” she said against his warm lips. “I promise my love to you and after summer, we can act like a real couple” she told him. He then pulled away and said the same devotion to her and gave her a silver ring that said “I love you with all my life and I will never fall for any girl, but you. You are my soul mate, my one true love, my heart, and my light. When we are apart, I will think of you everyday and I will wear this ring to show you my love devotion to you and you will wear the same one that is gold”. He put the silver ring on her pointing finger and she put the gold one on his, there they intertwined their hands together and kissed once more. She was foolish back then, she had a happy love life with Tarran, what more could she ask? Even though she still kept the ring, she couldn’t throw it away, she had already hurt Jake’s feelings and she didn’t need to give him pain anymore by throwing away his heart. We all celebrated and before the winter dance, we had winter break. All my friends were going away including Tarran who was traveling to Montana because he wanted to spend time with his old friends there. She would stay here, all alone, but she knew they would keep in contact with her by blogging, emails, text messages, letters and calls. She stayed with Tarran to see him off at the airport; his family was in line so they could have their own private time. She looked at him with gloomy eyes, she wanted him to stay, but she knew he was also homesick and he squeezed her hand. They both leaned in and kissed; it was a sad kiss, but also very good in a way. 2 whole weeks without his presence, his kisses, his protectiveness and love, she thought. A voice boomed calling for all passengers that were heading towards Montana and once again he squeezed my hand. “Wait for me, my love” he whispered and looked really deep into my eyes. “I will and have a great time in Montana, remember to email, text, call, and write to me and send pictures, but don’t have too much fun” she whispered back. He chuckled and gave her one last kiss on the cheek and headed off to the airplane. He waved and she waved back. She then headed home where California would be sunny during winter, so she was going to spend time at the pool. She picked her best swimsuit; she packed all her needs and got dropped off at the pool. During winter break, the pool council was letting 8th grader boys come and try out for life guarding lessons. Jake was one of them, he tried out and succeeded, he looked good. He had blue sunglasses on him with his whistle on his neck; he was already getting a tan. She put on sunscreen since she didn’t want to lose her mom’s light/dark skin. He saw her, but didn’t look at her for long and he scouted for anything that was against the rules. He acted cold around her; he looked at her, but always said nothing and didn’t look at her for long. She sighed, she started flipping through pages of the Starlight magazine, and although the clothes they showed were hideous it was still a good magazine. She found a crossword puzzle and started doing it; the prize was a $15 off gift card for Pet Stuffies, the cutest store ever. They had stuffed animals there that were so cute that you would die to get your hands on one of them. She was almost through, she needed one more, but it was a puzzler. “Hi Lucid” a deep sad voice said. She set down her magazine and took off her sunglasses to only find herself looking into deep sad moon eyes. It was Jake standing there, topless, his sunglasses on his head and he was blocking the sun from her. “Hi Jake” she whispered and looked down. She and Jake hadn’t really talked for a long time, they only stared at each other, and the last time she talked to him it was when she poured Boba all over him when he asked her to the dance. They locked eyes and said nothing to each other. He looks so sad, she thought, she saw through her powers that his aurora was gray which meant sadness. He had been feeling like this since the Boba day and only his aurora changed when he was with his friends. “I’m on my break and I was wondering if it was ok if I sat with you since everybody you know is gone” he said quietly looking down. “Sure I guess, I am a bit lonely, but I have been working on this crossword puzzle on this dumb magazine” she said. He quietly settled down next to her and closed his eyes. She was biting her nails just to solve the last crossword. “Want me to help you? In case you forgot, I was good at crossword puzzles” he asked. “Yeah and I remember” she accepted. Jake and I used to do many crossword puzzles with each other and they had won many prizes for finishing it. Jake sat closer to her, she gave him half the magazine and he studied it closely. “Its passion, an almost synonym for love which is passion” he said. I doubled check to make sure it fit the boxes and it fit. She quickly wrote down the word and tore the page off, Jake got her a postage and envelope and she gave it to the mailman. “Thanks Jake” she thanked. He shrugged carelessly and laid back again. So cold now, she thought and it was all because of me. She looked through the magazine which was very boring, the clothes were totally hideous, and they had too many bows and frills on them. She saw a few girls wearing the same swimsuits that were on the magazine. “You know there’s a party tonight, at 5 when its sundown, want to go?” Jake asked quietly. It had been a while since Jake asked her out, she had nothing to do and so she decided it would’ve been ok. “Sure” she answered. His aurora brightened a bit, but it was still gray. He smiled and said he would pick her up at 4:45 and then he laid back again. She was hoping to rise his spirits again even though he didn’t have her with him and let him move on. He picked her exactly at 4:45, she wore a short light blue sundress with beady sandals, her hair in a side ponytail and she put on lip gloss. Jake had beige sandals, a plain white tank top and blue khaki shorts on him and he looked cute even though he wasn’t wearing much. They came to the beach where Hawaiian torches were lit up, music booming, food was spread around and a stage was set up. More guests came and soon the party was on, Jake and I were already dancing. A band came to play and already it was nighttime, she helped herself with shrimps, she loved seafood. When she almost partied out, she sat down on a couch to rest since she was tired. Jake was right next to her, his creamy blond hair was very tousled and his moon eyes were so bright and filled with power. He looks very cute, she thought. He saw her staring at him and returned the gaze; they sat there, staring at each other without moving except blinking. She felt herself move closer to him and she leaned in, he didn’t know what to do except do what she did. She felt his breath on her lips, her skin tingled, and I shouldn’t be doing this! Her mind shouted at her, but she couldn’t help but keep leaning. Very soon, their lips met, Jake looked, and for once in such a long time happy and he came closer to her. Their bodies were touching each other, Jake’s arms were around her and he was kissing her like a lost lover finally reuniting with his love. She couldn’t help, but return the kiss, arms around his waist and she melted into his lips. They were cold, but soon became hot and luscious, this is what she missed, she thought. The love, devotion, the way he held her was what she missed form Jake and why her heart ached for him. But this can never happen again; her heart cried because she loved Tarran not Jake, tears strolled down her face. All she could do was enjoy, savor and remember what happened now and then forget it and she shut her eyes. Jake was kissing her everywhere he could touch on her, he finished draining her mouth that was filled with the love he missed and was now going on her neck. His lips was just draining all the love she had in herself, he kissed her lips, neck, throat, arms, and was now kissing her face. All she did was hold onto him tightly and was filled by his love, she started tugging him away from her and moving his neck, she wanted to return what he did to her. She got his arms, face, lips, throat and she was on his neck now. His neck was warm and soft, she kissed him over and over, she licked it once and she heard him moan, she ran him over with light fingers and she brushed them on his lips which he kissed. “This…..This is wonderful, this is what I’ve missed” he said shakily with wonder and excitement. She was cradled in his arms after they kissed each other like crazy mad lovers and draining and giving each other love. She didn’t say anything, but the truth was she thought it was wonderful too and she missed it so much. She missed him, his touches, his devotion, love and care. “I want you, I need you Lucid, and these past weeks have been torture, seeing you with Tarran, and having fun with him. I daydream that was you and I having fun and seeing you by my side” he whispered sadly, some tears fall from his eyes. She couldn’t believe it, but she loved Tarran and yet she can’t help but still have feelings for Jake. This was a mistake, she thought, going with him to the party and leaning in. She pulled herself away from him, but he didn’t let go, he found out what she was thinking and pulled her back to him. “No…. no, I’m not letting you go” he said angrily. I tried to get away, but he still had me, he moved with me and I couldn’t help but feel happy that he wanted me. He treats me like a princess, he was a common boy who fell in love with me at first sight, but she was royalty and he was just a commoner. She stayed with him, he cuddled and cradled her, kissing her and loving her, oh my god, she thought. I’m in love with both of them, I can’t be in love with both of them, and she thought it was too terrible. Then he took her home, they kissed under the moon and she knew that they were going to have a love affair through winter vacation. She had to tell Tarran, or else that will only make things worse. After winter break, she immediately called Tarran to meet up with him with importance running through her voice. She met him in the park looking very serious which she saw scared him. “Tarran…… while you were away, I had a…..a…a… love affair with Jake” I confessed. He blinked, then became furious and looked away. “And yet, you tell me the truth instead of doing like most girls, hiding it from me” he said coldly. “Of course, since I love you, I would tell you the truth” she said. That made Tarran look at her, his eyes were happy, but his face was still red, he leaned in. She kissed him so fast, she missed his lips, and she wanted to be closer and closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her; clearly he had forgiven her and wanted to still be with her. “I still love you, no matter what” he told against her lips. “Thank you” she thanked under his lips. What happened with her and Jake was gone, she and Jake met several times during winter break and making love to one another. Many people assumed they were back together, but they weren’t and she knew Jake expected to see her single and make her his again. She belonged only to Tarran whom she was really in love with.

Chapter 9
Time to Take It up a Notch Tarran

That morning, Tarran and I went to school early, at 7:45 where we kissed in the classroom where no one could see us. We kissed each other for 15 minutes and then we set up the classroom. “Come on can’t we kiss for another 5 minutes?” I asked when I leaned over Tarran’s desk. “Lucid, we’ll get in trouble besides the kids will start coming in soon.” He said. “Fine!” I said angrily and started to walk off, then he grabbed me and kissed me. He stopped for moment and said psyche, I smiled at him and we continued to kiss. I wore a white blouse that had flowers decorated on the sides with a faded pink mini skirt that had white leggings with it and light blue flats. She put her hair in a bun with moon earrings, bronze rings and a charm bracelet. That’s when they stopped and she went to go and gather her books so her friends wouldn’t get suspicious of them. She told them she had gone early to write down the board stuff. Ruby raised one of her eyebrows but said nothing. We sat at our usual tables and then the boys came and sat down with us. I thought it was weird, but they said they wanted to sit with us from now on. We all raised our eyebrows but kept silent. Justin was able to sit next to Topaz while Zane sat next to me. “D, how’s your day?” Zane whispered. “Hmm, I guess it was fine, but why are you guys really here?” I whispered back. “Well you could say that we finally want to hang out with you guys, I mean we are all friends’ right? We have been talking about sitting with you guys, but we always stuck at that table.” He whispered. “I see well I guess you could hang out with us just make sure Justin doesn’t sit near Topaz too much.” I whispered back. Zane was always like a brother to me, he was better than Deev who acted like a total jerk but was sometimes caring. Zane had dark greenish blue hair and his eyes were sea green, he was tall. He always had the sweetest smile when you were sad. He had light skin and always was fun and smart. His brother was Shane. Justin had tan skin with bushy looking eyebrows. He had sandy color hair with brown eyes and was a jokester kind of guy. Shane had brown hair and it looked like Zane’s with golden eyes. He was tall, a prankster and very friendly to other people. Dean had red hair with very small freckles that you couldn’t see them and dark blue eyes. He had dark skin and was a jokester with Justin. Ash has black hair with dark brown eyes and pale skin. He had long bangs and often had to go to a hair salon to get it cut. Hart had dark chocolately hair with blue crystal eyes. He had light darkish skin and he had brow short bangs that sometimes covered his eyes. Most girls fell for his hair, bangs and eyes, I know I did when I was 10 but that was 4 years ago. Luke had pale blond hair with yellow bangs and blue eyes. He had a thing for pranks and jokes. Jack had orange hair and deep brown eyes; he was very smart and often gave us goofy looking faces when we needed a laugh. Ruby had beautiful long red smooth hair with cherry red eyes too. Her skin was light and she always painted her nails in different red colors. Sapphira had rich dark blue hair with light blue eyes. Her skin was pale and her nails were always painted in blue colors with a design. Pearl/Natal had smooth black hair with milky eyes. Her skin was light and nails were painted in milky looking colors. Topaz has silky orange hair with golden eyes. Her skin was tan and her nails were painted in orange shades. Emera had brown hair with green streaks; her parents didn’t allow her to have green hair just have green streaks. She had emerald eyes with dark skin and her nails were always emerald color. Amest had pale blond hair with purple streaks since she couldn’t have purple hair. She had dark purple eyes with pale skin and nails were painted in different shades of purple. Pedriota had long green hair, her parents allowed her to have green hair. Her eyes were light green with light skin and nails painted in shades of green. Turquoisa had long rich greenish blue hair with sea green eyes. Her skin was pale with nails painted greenish blue. “Zane, where’s Tarran?” I whispered.
“He had to show this new girl around, I think she has a crush on him because when she met him, she had dreamy eyes on him.” He whispered back. “Humph, that girl she should know that Tarran is my boyfriend.” I whispered. “Oh yeah I heard congrats.” He whispered and put up a big smile. I smiled back at him, I stared around the room and saw Tarran, but he was with the new girl. She had red frizzy hair with green eyes. Her skin was light and she was wearing this ugly green dress that had green blobs around it. She looked like a poison ivy, maybe because she is one I joked in my mind. Tarran saw me looking at me and smiled; he said something to the girl and walked off before she could reply. “Hey guys!” He high fived Zane and took the seat next to me on the right. “Tarran who’s that girl you were with?” Topaz asked. “Oh she’s a new girl, her name is Ivy, she’s in our history class and I managed to get stuck with showing her around. While I was showing her around she had weird looking eyes on me.” He said. “Those eyes would be dreamy eyes Tarran, dreamy eyes means that she wants to have you as her boyfriend, and she likes you.” I told him after I took a bite out of my chicken salad. “Well she can’t have me, I already have a girlfriend.” He smiled proudly. I rolled my eyes, but couldn’t help but blush a bit. I turned around to only see Ivy walking towards us with an evil smile on her face. 20 people could fit in each lunch table, so Ivy could sit here. “Umm, hi my name is Ivy, I was wondering if I could sit with you guys?” She smiled at us for one second then kept on smiling at Tarran. The others shook their heads. “Umm, I’m Lucid and well I don’t think you can sit here Ivy and by the way did Tarran tell you he has a girlfriend?” I asked her. Her smile disappeared when I said did Tarran tell you he has a girlfriend. “Oh, I’ve heard of you, I see and who is Tarran’s girlfriend?” she asked. I clicked my tongue. “That would be me, Ivy, I’m Tarran’s girlfriend” I said and smiled politely. She just stared and said bye then walked off to another table where some girls sat there. “Nice going D.” Topaz smiled at me. “You think I wasn’t too harsh on her?” I asked. They all shook their heads including Tarran who just smiled at me. We all gobbled the rest of our lunches and headed out to our classes. I slipped into science class, Zane, Hart and Amest was in my science class. I slipped into a science table and Zane sat next to me. We had to do boy, girl for science. Hart and Amest sat next to each other, Zane acted weird around Amest. So he thought it was better for him to sit next to me. Unfortunately Ivy was in my science class, so she came in but this time she wore skinny jeans with a checkered blouse and blue sneakers. Her hair had been tied in a ponytail and she wore some lip gloss with pink eye shadow. I looked at myself; I wore a dark blue checkered blouse with black skinny jeans and light blue air walks. I put my blond hair into a flouncy side ponytail and painted my nails in a pretty glittery purple green nail polish. She walked towards our table and she had an evil smile on her face again then she turned towards Zane. “Zane, may I sit here?” She asked in a sweet voice and batted her long eyelashes. Zane keeping his cool even though his face turned a little pink. “Sorry Ivy, in this class you have to sit boy girl, the tables here are for 2 and plus I got here first.” He said. “Oh.” It was all she said and then walked to a table where Ben Buckely, a smart guy who usually got good grades like me. He looked surprised to see her sitting next to him, but then looked back at his science book. Ivy just flipped through her science book as well and took notes. “Thanks” I whispered. “No problem, I didn’t look mean did I?” he asked worriedly. I rolled my eyes and the rest of science was ok, the teacher was giving us too much notes though. When the bell rang, Ivy raced out first and I knew she must be going to look for Tarran, but luckily she knew where his next class which was right next to hers. She ran out and look for his English teacher’s class and found him walking alone; she then sneaked up on him and tapped his shoulder. He jumped and his books fell on the floor, he whipped around and he looked into her eyes. “Woah! Geez Lucid, don’t scare me like that.” He said and then laughed. “Oops, sorry, I didn’t expect you to drop your books” she apologized and bent down to gather his books. “Aww, its ok” he said and picked up his books. When she have him the last of his books, he leaned in and gave her a kiss in the cheek. His lips felt warm, she smelled strawberry in his breath. “Mmm, your breath smells like strawberries” she admired. “Oh, that would be from Ivy’s perfume when I showed her around, I liked the smell and the strawberry smell went into my mouth” he explained. “Oh” I said sadly. I stood up and started walking to my next class; she didn’t wait for Tarran because she was too sad. Tarran caught up with her and he walked close to her which made her feel sick. It’s Ivy’s fault she thought, she’s making me sick. “Hey, you ok?” he asked worriedly. “I’m fine, I think I’m going to go to the nurse” I said and hurried away from him. The nurse allowed me to go home since she said I did look a little bit sick, I went out and gathered my things. A blue piece of paper dropped out of my locker, it said: Dear Lucy, You looked a bit sick, but do you want to hang out tomorrow? Call me. Sincerely, Tarran. She felt like ripping the paper, but she felt happy that he wanted to be with her. She had a feeling that Ivy was going to ruin her life somehow to only get her hands on Tarran.

Seventh Chapter
My Knotts Berry Farm Trip

So it was the day for the trip and excitement was in the air! I wore an apple green tank top, leather mini skirt and royal boots with musical note earrings. I brought everything I needed in one big bag which wasn’t oversized. My hair in a ponytail with the end being all curly. We went in 8 groups, 10 people in each group. (Yeah we really do have 80 kids in 3 8th grade classes) I got paired with all my friends, with Tarran and Zane who was happily to be with Amest and we got 4 extra people because there were more people in the groups. They were Justin, Shane, Luke and Hart. They all high fived each other and talked about which rides they were going on. We went to the water log ride. We could fit 4 people in; I went with Ruby, Pearl and Emerald. I got soaked because I went 4 times with them. We then went on Bigfoot and got even wetter! I went on it 3 times and super duper soaked! I went to the drying machine and stay there for 12 minutes until I was dry enough. We went on the Ferris wheel and dragon swing. Bumper cars and I bumped Tarran when he wasn’t paying ne attention. He bumped me back and then we went to the train ride, and Jaguar. We went on other roller coasters, went to lunch and played a game booth. The game booth was to throw a small ball in a white, blue or red bowl. The prize was Pokémon stuff animals; white bowl was small stuff animal, blue for medium size animal and red for large ones. I got 3 smalls and 3 mediums with 14 tries. Tarran got the red one 5 times; he let me have 3 of them. I put my medium and small ones in a bag and let my friends hold the large ones. We went on more roller coasters and played game booths. At 6:30, we went back to school and went home. I was really tired, but I had fun and I got a lot of prizes from the game booths. I then called Tarran to see what he was up to. “Hello?” He asked. “Hi Tarran, just called to see what you were up to. “Umm, hey Lucid look its not a good time to talk, can I call you back?” “Umm, sure bye Tarran.” I hung up the phone and felt a bit lonely. I decided to talk to Ruby, and she pretty much knew what to do when her friends felt sad. Plus, she knew boy’s minds better than anyone else so she would know. I asked her to meet me at the park and in about 5 minutes, she showed up. “Hey what’s up Diamond?” She asked. “Well, I wanted to talk to Tarran, but he said it wasn’t a good time to talk… So I felt lonely.” I said. “Aww, don’t worry D, it will be alright. I think he was with another girl because I saw him and he was with another girl yesterday at NYC.” She said. “What!? I can’t believe this; I thought we had something…” I said in tears. Then all of a sudden, my cell ringed and I saw Tarran had called me just he said he would. “Let it ring then we’ll here his message.” She said. “Hi, I’m sorry if I couldn’t pick up the cell; I have either gone out, at friend’s house or in a class, please leave a message! BEEP!” The cell said. “Umm, hi Lucid, I sorry I couldn’t talk earlier, someone came over and well I was hoping we could meet at the park now because I need to talk to you ASAP, so uhh please come to the park. I’ll be waiting at the statues and well see ya.” He said. I felt nervous and my heart pounded like crazy making me fall down off the swings and on the hard and sharp woodchips. I rubbed my butt and Ruby changed my pants to a short blue skirt with a red sash. I changed my red sneakers to red flats with a candy hairpin I found in a store. I saw Tarran and Ruby encouraged me to go and pushed me. I walked very slowly and he saw me with a serious look on his face. “Umm, hey glad you got my message” He said and his face turned pink. “Ok, enough of this, what did you want to talk about?” I snapped, I wanted this to be over already. “Well, I want to be with….. you.” He said and took my hands. His hands felt sweaty and warm, I looked into his eyes. They glittered as in hoping I would say yes. “Umm, well I want to be with you as well.” I said and leaned in and kissed him. He kissed me back and after 3 minutes we broke apart. “But, Ruby saw you with another girl in NYC, who is she?” I asked. “Oh she was my cousin and well yesterday she confessed her feelings to me and well I rejected them to be with you.” He said softly. I smiled, he invited me to ice cream, but I told him I had to go now and I waved goodbye. Ruby was waiting at the swings, biting her nails nervously, her painted nails was almost gone. She stood up when she saw me with a worried look. “Well what happened!?” She asked impatiently and worriedly. “Well let’s say I got a new boyfriend.” I smiled in a sneaky way. “Omigosh! Tarran is your new boyfriend!!! Congrats D!!!!!” She squealed and hurled herself towards with a big Bear Hug. “Hahahaha, thanks R.” I said. “We have got some serious texting to do let’s start now!” She squealed. We texted the other girls and they texted other people they knew. I was pretty happy, I got the boy of my dreams, but will it be enough to satisfy me?

Sixth Chapter
Battle, Battle, Battle

This week only we were learning sword fighting and archery then we are going to do a sword fighting and archery tournament. I worked extra hard and practiced 3 hours a day for archery and sword fighting. The tournament was tomorrow and I was more then prepared to fight. My friends didn’t sign up to be in the tournament because they weren’t really good at it and said they were better off cheering for me instead. So the archery tournament was first, we would have to shoot targets while going through obstacles that will try to distract us. I pretty much won the archery tournament and now it was the sword fighting tournament. I had made it to the final round, the last round where winner would face me in the final round. Jake and Tarran were facing each other, my heart pounded to see this; of course the girls were camera recording. Jake made the first move and had almost hit Tarran directly, Tarran had made his direct attack and had knocked out Jake’s shield now he was defenseless, the battle went on for 10 minutes and Tarran had won. I was happy, but was already getting ready to beat Tarran and so the final round had begun. Tarran had struck me 2 times, but I managed to dodge them, I struck him 5 times and missed 2 times. I was able to knock his shield away from him making him defenseless. I had to strike him one more time and then I would win, but I didn’t know he was really fast, he ran around me and then went behind my back, but I heard him and struck with him. We were pushing each other to our limits back and forth, the audience became wild, I could hear my family and friends cheering me, and then I made one final move, I focused all my energy and pushed so hard that Tarran lost his balance and fell on the ground and his sword was in the air. I caught it and asked him if he surrendered and he said yes, I gave him a hand and hauled him up on his feet. I won both tournaments, but I had a feeling that Jake and Tarran were still going to fight for me. Of course my family came to congratulate me and my friends said they were going to post this on Youtube.com which I stole the memory chip and said no. Tarran came over and congratulate me and asked if we could talk alone because his parents want to talk to mine about something. He took me to a tent and then wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. I was shocked and surprised of course I knew the girls were tape recording I could feel the video camera’s gaze. We stayed there for 10 minutes until I finally pushed back, so did he. “Umm…Wow that was amazing, why did you do that?” I asked. “Umm, well err well I felt like doing that, hehe. He chuckled and turned pink. “Umm, ok then well I better go”, I said, but before I went batted my dark black eyelashes at him and kissed him and walked away. I felt all pink and red, I knew this would definitely change our friendship, but it was a chance I had to take, but I felt so bubbly, happy and cheerful because of what I did.  Sapphira called me in the middle of the night, she sounded cheerful too. “Hello Miss Tarran’s girlfriend! I know it’s the middle of the night, but we just had to call you!!!” she said. I groaned. “Be quiet Saph, you know nothing and what do you mean by “we”? I asked. “Oh I’m so sorry, but we all had a late sleepover.” She answered. “Oh ok, as long as you guys have fun and STOP bothering my beauty sleep, I’ll be alright.” They giggled, said alright and said goodnight. I turned off my cell and went to sleep because tomorrow was the fieldtrip to Knotts Berry Farm!! I tripled check everything and made sure my money was kept safe from Deev. He was always stealing my money for his dumb junk, comic books and clothes. His friends sometimes stole my money too when I wasn’t around or if I was sleeping. I put bubble wrap on my floor so when he came in my room I would jump on him and scare him. Making him scream and run away although my brother, sister and dad won’t hear. I made sure they wouldn’t hear, I put bubble wrap and cotton on their doors so they wouldn’t hear. When Deev complains to dad, he won’t know what Deev is talking about and will get punished for ruining his sleep. Dad always gets mad if we wake him during the night. He punishes us, by taking away our cells and makes us do the servant’s or maiden’s chores. When Rini was young, she often woke dad up and got punished to wash dishes. Glyth was worse, he always pulled pranks at us during the night and often made a lot of noises. He really got punished by doing lots of homework and cleaning when he was young. Deev and I only got punished sometimes, usually for arguing over the TV, phone, computer and desserts. Rini had creamy skin with sea green eyes. Her mouth was always light pink with straight teeth and her eyelashes were always long and brown. Every guy loved her eyelashes especially if she winked and batted them. She had long shoulder length pink hair with pink bangs and her nails were always painted. She rocked the guys and girls, with her looks, smartness, kindness, popularity, attitude, abilities and control. She bossed guys who usually didn’t like getting bossed around. Glyth had light skin and brown chocolately eyes with a cute and sweet smile. His teeth were straight and blue smooth hair with blue bangs. Every girl loved his bangs, eyes and smile, they often stared at him with dreamy eyes. I guess I sometimes had crushes on him, but that was years ago. Everyone liked him because he was kind, caring, cool, smartness, attitude, abilities, looks and control. Deev had rich golden eyes with a tan skin and straight teeth. He had shaggy golden hair too with golden bangs and sly personality. He’s pretty much a chilled guy and cool. He has lots of friends and often made girls faint with his winks and smiles.

Fifth Chapter
Sleepover

The next day it was Sat. I prepared for the sleepover since I wasn’t going to come home until tomorrow afternoon; I kissed my dad goodbye and walked to Natal’s house which wasn’t very far. Tarran crept up on me and surprised me, making me jump and fall down. “Whoa sorry I didn’t think that would make you jump, are you going to a sleepover? He asked. “It’s alright, yeah going over to Natal’s house I won’t come back until tomorrow afternoon.” I answered. “Oh I also have a sleepover today too, hehe so I’ll see you later.” He said and waved at me. I waved back and headed over to Natal’s house, I was the first to come and after 2 hours, the rest came. We went shopping, a theme park, and park and came back at 8:30 PM. We ate dinner, watched a movie and started the game of Truth or Dare. The dares and truth questions were funny and fun, but also scary; my dare was probably now my fear. My dare was to take a rose bouquet and take it over to Tarran’s house with a note saying for Tarran and compliments about him. It was so embarrassing, so I did the bouquet part, and the girls followed me with a video camera, I left it at Tarran’s door and rang the doorbell and hid in the bushes. Shane, a smart guy who had a crush on Ruby opened the door and picked up the bouquet and closed the door. There was a window opened so we spied on them, we saw who was there, Shane, Dean, Tarran, Jack, Luke, Justin, Ash, Zane, and Hart. Dean, a cool guy used to be friends with Jake had a crush on Emera, Jack, nice smart guy, had a crush on Sapphira, Luke, weird and kind guy who had a crush on Turquoisa. Justin, cute, smart and rich guy who had a crush on Topaz, Ash cool, sweet guy who liked Natal, Zane, smart, cool, kind, fast runner and rich guy who liked Amest a lot. Hart, nice, cute, smart, fast swimmer, strong guy who liked Pedriota. “Hey guys! Check this out, it’s from Lucid, weird of her to bring a rose bouquet, but then again she’s always weird.” Shane said and laughed, the rest laughed too. I punched my fists hoping that sometime I would get to slug him soon with my fists. “Let’s see who she gave it to…. It’s for Tarran here you go bud.” Shane said. “Thanks, she never gave me this before.” He told. “Cool, that means she is digging you, she never liked anyone since her mother’s death I think, I mean she had friends, flirted with people, but only to make them do stuff for her.” Luke said. “Flirted? Never liked anyone? How do you know? He asked. “I’m one of her childhood friends, known her for 14 years; our mothers met each other at the same hospital and became close friends.” He replied. “I see, anyone else whose childhood friends with her?” He asked. Justin, Hart and Zane said they knew her and said a lot of people actually knew her pretty well. It was true, but those 4 boys knew me better than anyone else. “Well, I don’t think she’s digging me that much.” He said and turned red. “Then why is your face red dude, Hahaha.” Zane asked and laughed. They all laughed and continued their Truth or Dare game too. We then silently crept away from the house and ran back to our house. We left a bug that could listen to their truth or dare questions, stuff and watch them. Jack dared Tarran to call me and ask to meet him outside of his house and then grab me and kiss me. Tarran’s face turned red and said alright, stood up and called my cell, we laughed and my cell ringed, I was reaching for it, but Topaz picked and said hello in a sweet way, she put on speaker and told us to shush. “Umm… Hello, is this Topaz? Ouch stop trying to grab the phone Justin!!!” Tarran yelled. We had to bite our lips to stop from laughing out loud. “Err, what’s up Tarran?” Topaz asked. “Can you tell Lucid to meet me outside my house in 8 minutes; I know Natal’s house is close to Lucid’s and my house so will you tell her? He asked. “Sure, bye Tarran!” Topaz replied. She hung up the cell and they dressed me up in a pink flowing flower samurai dress with white strapped sandals and my hair is in a bun. I went outside and walked and saw Tarran waiting for me, I saw the guys looking and recording, and they saw me staring at them and disappeared. “Hey you wanted to talk to me?” I asked him, faking like I didn’t know what he was going to do. I was starting to get impatient and started to walk away, he then grabbed me and leaned in to kiss me, our lips touched again, he held me tightly, after 3 minutes we pushed back. “Umm, wow hehe.” I said. “Umm, yeah well I’ll see you later.” He said. I waved to him and walked back to Natal’s house, my face was all red and I giggled. The rest of the sleepover was great; we stayed up until 3 AM and went to sleep. The next morning, we took turns for the bathroom, had breakfast and dressed up to go to the Greek museum. After 2 hours in the museum, we all went home.

Fourth Chapter
Spring Dance

“I’m so excited!!!” I said perfectly happy. This Wednesday was the spring dance!!!! I know that every boy will want to take me to the spring dance but there is only one person I want to go with. That is TTAARRAANN!!! OMG, I’m really hoping he will ask me, the other Gemstone girls have their dates except for me. Every boy is coming to me asking to go with me to the spring dance, but what Jake did was too shocking. Jake came to me in a tuxedo with chocolate and a bouquet of white fresh roses and asked me to go with him to the dance. Everyone was awing and squealing, saying how romantic it was, but I didn’t care I had no feelings for him. I had Boba with me and so I opened it and said “I will show you how I feel now” and then I poured the Boba on him and he looked really gooey. I then walked away from him and I didn’t care I only did what was right for me. Of course, I saw Tarran and I couldn’t read his expression at all. Then he turned away and walked away, I felt hurt and so I went to the bathroom to clear my thoughts and my tears. I then got ready to go shopping with my Gemmies. I bought all the things I need for the dance, but I needed one more thing, a date. The next few days were terrible, Tarran never talked to me, not even one peep!!!! I was starting to get worried, I was afraid he no longer thought I was a great and beautiful girl. The next day, I could no longer take it; I marched up to him and asked, “Why aren’t you talking to me anymore???” “Well what you did to Jake, I thought was unfair and well I didn’t think you would ever do that.” “Well I’m sorry you feel that way, but I honestly don’t want to go with him and if I didn’t do anything he would keep on bothering me.” “Well I still think it was unfair.” “Oh well then Humph.” I stormed off to my house and when I came in the house, my sister said hi, but I just yelled hi to her harshly. I didn’t mean it but I was so mad that I didn’t want to come out of my room. Then a letter came on my desk from the window and I wondered what it was doing here. It said “Will you go to the spring dance with me??? S.A.”, I knew what the SA it was meant secret admirer. I sighed and answered yes, I didn’t really care who it was as long as I got a date. I was pretty sure the guy would wear a mask to cover his face. The next was the spring dance day, my doorbell rang and my sister got it, she called for me. I deeply sighed and came down stairs slowly and I saw he had black and other dark colors on his mask and I said hi, he didn’t say anything he just gave me a luscious red rose corsage. I held out my hand and he put it on, his hands felt familiar but my memory was all blurry so I couldn’t remember. Then my arm got together with his arm and we went into the limo and went to the dance. I saw my friends there waiting for me outside with their dates, I saw Jake with the school’s second popular girl, Dance, and I mean what kind of name is that??? They admired my dress, their dates were talking to my S.A., and they asked me who the masked guy was. I told them I didn’t know, Ruby said he looked familiar from somewhere and I said yeah. The dance was great, but I didn’t see Tarran at all, I looked into my S.A. eyes and then when he wasn’t looking, I removed his mask. I dropped it and gasped; it was Tarran who asked me to the dance, he looked at me directly and picked up the mask and asked me why I took it off of him. I told him it was because I wondered what your real face was and asked why he didn’t ask me. He said he was afraid I would say no so he pretended to be someone else, before he could say anything else, I hugged him. He hugged me back, I was name Spring Dance queen and Tarran was Spring Dance king. We danced and had a great time, I dropped off Tarran at his house and turned to leave, but Tarran grabbed me and kissed me, it my 2nd time that I kissed him. He smiled and said goodnight still holding me and I whispered goodnight to him back and he let go. I smiled and waved and went inside, then my cell chimed, it was from Ruby. It said “Hey Diamond, I got that kiss on video!! XD LOL xoxoxo Ruby and the Gem girls.” I laughed, those girls were so crazy, then Natal texted me reminding me about our sleepover tomorrow at her house and she learned that her brother, Dean was going to Tarran’s house for a sleepover with some other friends too. I grinned that meant we were going to play some truth or dare and I always thought of good dares.

Third Chapter
Kissing Booth!

Anyway it was Tuesday and Pearl IM me saying I forgot about my lunch with Tarran and I was surprised because I promised him I would come. I was getting ready for school while listening “Sad But True sang by Goot” on my sky blue radio. I always listen to music in the morning when I’m getting ready. I wore casual clothes and blue converses. I put my IPod and cell phone in my purple bag and started biking to school. My best friends and I always walk or bike to school so we don’t pollute the Earth. We tell everyone to bike or walk to school and of course they listen because they like us. We are all popular girls and so I met Ruby and Amethyst at the gate. They ran to me shrieking, saying congratulation. My dad was becoming the 22nd president because Robert the 22nd president was about to die and wants my dad to take his place as the president. My family and I celebrated for my dad the whole night yesterday. It was so great to be a future president’s daughter which meant I would be flooded with the reporters and all. I went inside the school and the rest of the Gemstone Girls came and were talking to me about the president thing. I spotted Tarran; he smiled at me which I was grateful. But what I was not grateful about was when the students came in and were surrounding me about the president thing. I was kind of annoyed and managed to squeeze out, so I can get to class. The rest of day was kind of annoying because people wanted to sit and talk with me because I’m about to become the 22nd president’s daughter and all. But I’m like whatever and when I was about to go, I saw that the reporters and paparazzi there. So I called for a limo and ran super fast to my limo and the reporters and paparazzi were following me. But the rest of the day was fine. So the next day I had to go to this carnival and do the kissing booth. I dressed in a blue crisscross sparkly dress with silver heels, white and light blue earrings and necklace with a silver headband. I saw Tarran with his friends and he waved, my friends saw me and came to me saying I looked cute and stuff. My whole family was here and so were the paparazzi and reporters, luckily we had guards with us. I thought maybe Tarran is going to be at the kissing booth which was scary so I thought about something else. After two hours of kissing for my sister, Rini it was finally my turn. After 15 guys, it was Jake’s turn which I froze. It was $1 for each second and he paid for ten dollars which I took five and stuffed it back into his wallet. Then I kissed him for 5 seconds and that was it. After 2 guys it was Tarran’s turn and I couldn’t believe I was going to be kissing him. The girls were camera recording and he paid for $10, so I had to kiss him for ten seconds. My heart pounded and then I leaned in for him. I kissed him, it was so great, my mind was dancing happily and his lips were so soft. I counted slowly, so I could still kiss him, but then time was up and so I leaned back. I told him the next person was the last and so I would have four hours of break, then I would be able to ride the rides here. After four hours of fun, I had to go back to the kissing booth and so after two hours, I went home. My friends kept on texting me about the kiss which I was getting annoyed of. But I was really happy and so when I went to sleep, I dreamed about Tarran and me kissing.

Chapter two
The New Boy

So new day started, sunshine shined in my big room and my dad was on his fourth year as senator. It was 6:30 in the morning and school started at 7:30, so I got up and got ready. Before I went to school, I ate breakfast quickly and left a note saying I was off to school. I took a pink limousine and headed off to school. It was my turn to write down stuff on the board and put new flowers, I chose pink lilies. I came into the classroom, and then I noticed that someone put new flowers in the vase. It was red roses and it had been just put in and I saw the things I had to write down on the board were already written down. “I’m sorry I thought I had to do these things”, someone said. I turned to only find myself staring at an 8th grader boy who looked the same age as me and was cute. He had black hair which was kind of spiky up and green eyes. His skin was kind of dark, but also light and his teeth were straight also. He was really cute and I guess hot. I cleared my throat and asked, “Are you new here?” “Actually yeah, I’m new here, my name is Tarran Wilson, I just moved here”. “Oh, my name is Lucid Natalie Diamond Conner; I had added Diamond because my best friends were named by gems”. “Yeah I know, I’ve heard of you, they say you’re the most popular girl in this school”. “Well, I guess you could say that, where do you live”? “Umm, I live on Diamond Street and I’m going to live in a blue mansion because my mom and dad are rich”. “Wow, I live on that street what a coincidence”. “Yeah what a coincidence”. “Well, I better go and meet with my best friends nice meeting you, so let me guess you sit right next to me and you are in this class?” He laughed and said,” Yeah I’m in this class and yes I sit right next to you.” I just smiled at him, “see you in class”. I felt him smiling at me, so I went to my four lockers, two for my school stuff and other two to keep some clothes in. The students had begun to come in, so I quickly grabbed my stuff and headed towards to my math class. All day I noticed Tarran was in all of my classes. Then somebody texted me, I didn’t recognize the phone number it said “You think your so smart Diamond?” I turned around to find out who sent me the text and I saw Tarran smiling at me. I realized he sent me the text he must have found out in the library, I texted back to him, “I wouldn’t say that, this is your cell number?” He texted back, “Yes”. I only laughed a little. My friend, Sapphira texted me saying, “Hot guy!!!! And he is eyeing you, though we did dibs on him, but found he has his eye on you lol!” I laughed a little loud and turned to her, she just smiled at me. Anyway, we had a math test which I aced, of course. It was lunch time, I told my friends I wasn’t sure if I liked him or not. We giggled and headed for our table. We were called the Gemstone Girls because of our names. We had our own table, and then I spotted Tarran with a lot of 8th grader boys around him. I guessed he made a lot of new friends, he waved at me and I just smiled. Then I saw Jake, he was smiling at me, I remembered the promise I made to him. Sadly I didn’t have feelings for him anymore, how was I going to tell him. I told the girls about my problem with Jake. “Well, you shouldn’t be with Jake, since Tarran is way better than him, Ruby said popping a chip in her mouth. The others agreed and so I decided that I wanted to be with Tarran not Jake. Jake came over and sat next to me, but I stood up and said to him face to face. “Look. Jake, we can’t be together; I don’t have feelings for you anymore”. He froze and managed to say why. “I don’t have feelings for you got it, now go away, people can change after summer. Like me, got it, so don’t try to make me have feelings for you, because I don’t.” I walked away from him and went to my locker. After school, I walked to my house because it was close by and then Tarran walked up to me. “Hey, you ok?” “Umm, yeah, I guess, I made a promise to Jake saying that we could be together after summer, but I didn’t have feelings for him anymore. So I guess he still believes in us, but I don’t. I think he will keep on trying to be my boyfriend. (Sigh). “Wow, well who do you have a crush on now?” “Ha! I’m not telling you, are you crazy? “Just asking sheesh”. “Whatever, anyway we are here, see you tomorrow.” “By the way what will you owe me after I walked with you to here?” “Hmm, well I could take you to lunch today at 2:00, meet me at De Bouvilin”. “It’s French and it means “The Beautiful and Delicious Food, it’s my favorite restaurant and it is a 5 star restaurant.” “Umm, ok you will be paying right?” “Yeah”. “Ok see you later today”. “Right”. I walked to my porch and then I saw him smile at me, I smiled at him and went inside. I said hello to my brothers, (by the way, my oldest brother’s name is Glyth and second brother’s name is Deev and my oldest sister’s name is Rini) and my oldest sister and my dad. My dad was talking to someone on the phone which was my dad’s girlfriend, Serena Vander. My dad started dating last month with Serena and we all met her, she is really nice and pretty, but I still couldn’t help but feel sad that Dad was dating someone else. I went to my white and light blue room which was pretty big because our mansion was big. I set down my backpack/bag and plopped on my bed. All I could think of was Tarran and his smiles, and then I closed my eyes and slept.

I didn’t know I would be in love with him so quickly. He seemed so nice and sweet, and I thought I could win his heart, but technically it will take awhile. (Oops, I forgot) Sorry, Natal told me I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Lucid Natalie Conner, but I like to be called Diamond. My friends’ names are after the gems like emerald, ruby, sapphire and all the others. My family is rich, my mom died when I was 5 years old and I have 2 brothers and one sister. My dad told me that before my mom died, she gave him an amulet and told him to give it to me. It was an amulet that had three Greek goddess animals on it, Artemis’s animal, Athena’s animal, and Aphrodite’s animal. When I was born my dad said I had some kind of power within me, my mom had powers too, so it would make sense I had them too. While I was growing up, I began to control my powers and plus I had any kind of power, like magic and invisibility. I am 14 years old; I live in CA, Gemstone city and Diamond Street. I live in a mansion and I’m in 8th grade. I’m beautiful and super smart thanks to my powers. I have blond swirly-curly hair like my mom, blond bangs and blue eyes. My lips are red and my eyelashes are long and black. I am American and my skin is kind of light and dark. My teeth are straight because I had braces when I was 8 years old. I’m super smart, I get perfect grades, and I have the most perfect record of not be late and doing all of my assignments. At school most 8th grader boys like me except for the ones who are bad, have bad grades and my good friends that are boys. Some 9th graders like me and most of the 8th grader girls want to my friend, but I only have 8 best friends. They are Natal, Sapphira, Emera, Ruby, Topaz, Pedriota, Amest, and Turquoisa. Natal and I didn’t have gem names so we made our own, mine is Diamond and Natal’s is Pearl. Sapphira is called Sapphire, Emera is called Emerald, Ruby is Ruby, Topaz is Topaz, Peridota is called Peridot, and Turquoisa is called Turquoise, and Natal is called Pearl and I’m called Diamond, and Amest is called Amethyst. Last year, when it was the last day of 7th grade, Jake a close friend of mine confessed his feelings for me, and I did too. I promised him after summer, we would be together, boyfriend and girlfriend, but that changed when I met him.
