Got my boxes from STITCH a few days ago. All of these pieces came from the Dehara & David Have Mono show.
Yey! More Ice-bats and my second Dave figure (the blank one being the first)! Actually, another box containing my third Dave arrived the day after. That makes a total of 6 art pieces from the show. XD
My shelf is more crowded now…the wing span of the bats really takes a lot space. I need to figure out a way to fit them all. I’m also expecting more customs to arrive before the year ends. I really need to trim down my collection to fund and give way for new stuff…
(I posted more pictures at the Uglydolls forums.)
More bats!!!
STITCH just posted some more custom bats waiting to be adopted. For those who haven’t gotten one, now is your chance to grab one. These bats will definitely fly out the window fast to their new homes.
Note that these are not your ordinary toys. These are works of art and are one of a kind pieces. Strictly for collectors and should be handled with utmost love and care. I understand that there’s a minimum required age to own them, but sadly even adults can mishandle such works of art if not taught or informed about the proper way in handling and taking care of them.
Here are some of my favorite drawings that are being sold at the Dehara and David Have Mono show.
They’re expensive! Each costs 10,500yen. I like the designs very much though. The one with My Friend Dave showing off his collection of Kaijus (first photo) is actually my first choice if ever I’m buying a drawing. (Too bad it’s already sold…)
Worth the wait!
I just got my invoice for the figures I’m adopting from the Dehara & David Have Mono show. I’m really happy in scoring everything from my priority list. Got some pretty cool custom-painted Kaijus! Will post pics when I get them.
Check out the the available stuff here: http://www.stitch.jp/
It’s great these days that a single e-mail can get you great stuff, but nothing beats being actually there in the exhibit. Hopefully next time I’ll be able to visit Japan for these art shows.

Dehara & Dave Have Mono show in Japan just started today. I’m currently "camped out" at the site waiting for them to start accepting orders from overseas. I’m so excited! I hope that I’ll get everything in my most wanted list.
I wish I could go to Japan…
September 18th at STITCH in Tokyo.
Expect a lot of cool stuff from David Horvath, Sun-min Kim and Yukinori Dehara!
Customs! Handmades! Paintings! Drawings! Skateboards!
I’m helping out a friend who has a huge designer toy collection in fixing his display. Three display rooms full of toys!!! My brother and I have been going to his house during our free time to fix and re-arrange the toys. Underneath all the clutter were great treasures…all they needed were some fresh air, proper exposure, and of course tender loving care.
In return, I got this:
This bat is my most sought after piece! I’ve been searching high and low for this. Very hard to find since only 10 pieces (+1 for another art show) were made. I’m very happy! Not only did I get to help, play with some of the toys in the house, I also got a part of my Holy Grail for my collection! XD
Awesomeness!!!
Almost had a heart attack when I saw the custom Babo line-up made by Bwana Spoons for the Grass Hut show for the month of September. He made 10 special Babos for the event!
Here are some of the customs:
I already bought one before the show even opened to the public. Was tempted to get more than one, but toy budget didn’t allow me. Hehe. Can’t wait to get mine after the show. XD
An Uglydoll with cute puppy dog ears. That’s Uppy (sounds like puppy). XD
"You’ll never meet anyone more optimistic than Uppy. He’s super positive! He’s positive that the snack you have in your hand belongs to him, and that your bank account should be in his name, not yours. Uppy is sure of things. He’s sure that you guys would make the perfect team, and that your team should make it’s way down to the bakery to order something really super delicious. You handle the money part and Uppy is sure he can do all the eating. No worries."
