More Bossy Bear Goodness
Friday, June 26th, 2009Chilly Chilly Ice-bat
Sunday, June 21st, 2009I just got this really fun book. It doesn’t look like a picture book at first since it doesn’t have a title at the front or at the spine, it more looks like a journal.
"It’s summer in the Uglyverse, and Wage and Babo’s air conditioner has broken down, so they head to Ox and Wedgehead’s Air Conditioner Emporium, where the only cooling mechanism they can afford is an old fashioned ice-box. They bring it home, and soon realize they are in for more of a stew than they bargained for when they find little Ice-Bat living inside! Since everything he touches turns to ice, Wage and Babo’s apartment cools off in no time. But when word gets out, greedy Ox and Wedgehead can’t believe they sold Ice-Bat for only five dollars. They decide they want him for the Air Conditioner Emporium."
The story is simple yet fun. The illustrations are really funny and you’ll see how some of the Uglydolls live their lives.
Yellow Rangers

Friday, June 5th, 2009New bats have taken flight!
These Dehara customs were released in Japan at the Subcarism Tokyo show which started last May 29, 2009. Only 25 pieces each were made. Just like the green and black Menta Ice-bats, these also came with a special custom box.
I just received my set from the post this afternoon. They sure arrived fast!
Glowing Bat
Saturday, May 16th, 2009First up on my SDCC 2009 shopping list…
Uglydoll Ice-bat GID action figures! All 6 colorways in one box! I hope there will be a lot on sale during SDCC. I’m so excited to get this. I wonder what other Uglydoll convention exclusive stuff will be sold…For sure there will be a special plush doll waiting for loving owners.
Ugly Is Still In!
Sunday, April 5th, 2009Geeez…I haven’t posted here lately. It doesn’t mean that I totally abandoned my Uglydolls fandom. I have just been pretty busy lately. I still buy Uglydolls and other Horvath-related stuff even if I’m busy! Hehe.
Let’s see what I got so far…
- Menta Ice-bats (Both blue and white eyes that was released last 2007 at the first Deharavath. Yey! Been jumping up and down with these. I’m glad I waited and didn’t pay flipper price. XD)
- Uglydolls Postcard Set
- Little Uglys Babo in Purple (Also wanted a Babo’s Bird to match it but it was out of stock.)
- Uglydoll Kaiju Babo with cookie shop (Solid Blue and In the Dark versions. I already have these, but the local store had them on super sale. LOL!*)
- Uglydoll Kaiju Ice-bat (Clear Glitter version. My third one!* O_o Will probably have it customized.)
- Flatwoods Monster (Fire-type version. I want to complete all 13 versions. XD Oh no…my shelf space!)
- Grass Nut Bear Qee
- Signed and doodled (by David Horvath) Bossy Bear book
- God Noupa
- Little Bony plush
- Toothy Turtle (Yellow GID and Standard version)
- Super Puncher
Hmm…I still lack a lot of stuff. @_@ Oh well, will just wait when the price is right.
*LOL! What’s the deal in buying the same thing over and over again? XD Some collectors have a rule to always buy in duplicate or even triplicate or even more. — One to open. One to keep. One to show-off. One to customize. The list could go on. Hehe.
Just Like Bossy Bear
Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009Praxis x Babo
Sunday, February 22nd, 2009There’s a story behind this really special illustration by David Horvath an Sun-min Kim. This is actually up on eBay, but the proceeds will go to a good cause.
It’s not only people who can suffer from cancer, but dogs as well. Praxis the dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma last year. Part of the proceeds will go to his treatment while the rest will be donated to the Magic Bullet Fund (an organization that provides financial assistance to people who have dogs with cancer but cannot afford treatment).
Praxis is featured in the drawing along with Babo. Praxis falls in love with the very charming Babo. Is it because of the cookies? I don’t think so…Babo is just that way — easily attracts friends with his wonderful aura.
If you want to purchase this illustration, check it out HERE. There are also other Praxis-inspired works available made by famous artists.
