Ugly Is Still In!

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

Geeez…I haven’t posted here lately. It doesn’t mean that I totally abandoned my Uglydolls fandom. I have just been pretty busy lately. I still buy Uglydolls and other Horvath-related stuff even if I’m busy! Hehe.

Let’s see what I got so far…

  • Menta Ice-bats (Both blue and white eyes that was released last 2007 at the first Deharavath. Yey! Been jumping up and down with these. I’m glad I waited and didn’t pay flipper price. XD)
  • Uglydolls Postcard Set
  • Little Uglys Babo in Purple (Also wanted a Babo’s Bird to match it but it was out of stock.)
  • Uglydoll Kaiju Babo with cookie shop (Solid Blue and In the Dark versions. I already have these, but the local store had them on super sale. LOL!*)
  • Uglydoll Kaiju Ice-bat (Clear Glitter version. My third one!* O_o Will probably have it customized.)
  • Flatwoods Monster (Fire-type version. I want to complete all 13 versions. XD Oh no…my shelf space!)
  • Grass Nut Bear Qee
  • Signed and doodled (by David Horvath) Bossy Bear book
  • God Noupa
  • Little Bony plush
  • Toothy Turtle (Yellow GID and Standard version)
  • Super Puncher

Hmm…I still lack a lot of stuff. @_@ Oh well, will just wait when the price is right.

*LOL! What’s the deal in buying the same thing over and over again? XD Some collectors have a rule to always buy in duplicate or even triplicate or even more. — One to open. One to keep. One to show-off. One to customize. The list could go on. Hehe.

Mothman vs Flatwoods

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

Move over Godzilla, Gamera and other super monsters! Mothman and Flatwoods are here to claim the spotlight.

To commemorate the ultimate battle between these two unknown creatures, a small play set was produced for fans to relive unforgettable moments and super attacks at the comforts of your toy room.

Wondering when and where their battle took place? I don’t know either. Hehe. The government loves to cover-up when it comes to creatures and events like this. Fortunately or unfortunately, an anonymous witness shared his / her account for us to know the truth, thus the creation of this play set.

Aaaaaaahhhhhh! I have a feeling of impending doom! Alien abduction! XD

Swamp Gas Type

Monday, November 12th, 2007

Oh it’s just swamp gas!

pinkglowmm This new set of Mothman and Flatwoods Monster  coming soon from Wonderwall. These may seem 100% see through but they have a glow in the dark substance on the inside, so they glow PINK in the dark. Like swamp gas.

glowpinkfw What is swamp gas? Swamp gas has been known by several names: ignis fatuus, will-o’-the-wisp, corpse candles, jack-o’-lantern, and marsh gas. Apparently swamp gas also flies up 15 miles within a few seconds and makes 90 degree turns. Yeah sure.

You Are Constantly Being Watched

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

Awww…this is an adorable Flatwoods Monster / Mothman figure set. Is it just the lighting or they really glow in the dark? Hehe.

glooow Wow! It’ll be awesome if they both glow in the dark. Display them on your desk or glass cabinet and when bedtime comes they’ll watch over you. Let their eerie glow send you to Dreamland*.

*gasp* Just don’t let them shock you if you suddenly wake up in the middle of the night and see those big, glowing eyes staring at you. Don’t worry, they are as shocked as you are.

*Dreamland (May mean the world of dreams, but for UFO and alien enthusiasts, this could mean the location: 90 miles north-northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Dreamland consisting of Area 51 and Groom Lake, as well as the site S-4 and Papoose Lake is about 20 square miles.)

Flatwoods Monster

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

They have arrived and will soon invade your closet! Here’s your chance to have your own Flatwoods Monster.

The Flatwoods Monster, also known as the Braxton County Monster and the Phantom of Flatwoods, is an unidentified creature, reported to be alien in origin, which was sighted in the town of Flatwoods in Braxton County, West Virginia during the early 1950s.

flatwood close-up There are two entities associated with the Flatwoods Monster. The first of which was described as being a large pulsating red ball of light that hovered above or rested upon the ground. The second was described by witnesses that the creature’s head as having bulging non-human eyes and as either being shaped like a heart or an Ace of Spades, or as having a large heart or an Ace of Spades shaped cowl behind it. The creature’s body was described as being man-shaped and clad in a dark pleated skirt; later described as being green. Some accounts record that the creature had no visible arms, others describe it as having short stubby arms; ending in long claw-like fingers, which protruded from the front of its body.

aliensInspired by this creature, David Horvath and Sun-min Kim created their own unique spin known as UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animals). The nice thing about the figures is that there are a number of different colorways.

Oh lookie, even Mothman and Chupacabra has joined them. XD
