Collecting designer toys really hurt my pocket. Right now, I decided to focus on specific artists / series. David Horvath / Sun-min Kim are definitely on my list. I’ll also buy some Joe Ledbetter pieces as long as they’re affordable and also Dunnys! I also like Chris Lee’s work, so far I’m collecting the Mellow figures.

It’s hard to keep up with the releases. @_@ One toy has not even been delivered yet, then another one appears.  Accessibility is also a problem since I don’t live in the US. I have to wait when it’s available online or eBay. As for the convention / event exclusives, my chances of owning those are very low. Also, our money conversion rates are very high. Everything is expensive after conversion plus there’s shipping and customs tax! *sigh*

If keeping up with new releases is hard, buying and looking for the older toys / dolls are much harder. eBay is the place to look for older releases and exclusives, but you have to go through bid wars! If you really want something, you must be ready to spend…a lot! Ouch! >.<

Oh well, that’s how it is if you are a toy collector. The prices maybe high when it comes to everything, but the happiness felt when a toy arrives is priceless!
