Crazy Hello Kitty Collection

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

I was blog-hopping and I came across a fellow Sanriotown blogger’s space. The first post I read was about buying a Hello Kitty digital camera (which I now want for muhself!) and then… I read this post. Check it out. What a collection!!

Cute food alert!

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

If I had these served at home everyday, I’d be really, really, thin. Too cute!

Now, I don’t really aim to post hot-off-the-press stuff in here, just the things that I find cute, amusing, interesting, or just whatever I find worth posting about :p And I think cute rice presentations deserve a blog entry in my world :p Ack.. cuteness overload! teehee!

Thai Police and Hello Kitty love affair.

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

I came across this news article while searching Google for interesting Hello Kitty fashion items:

Thai cops punished by Hello Kitty

A police officer wears a pink armband featuring 'Hello Kitty

The armband is designed to shame the person wearing it

Police chiefs in the Thai capital, Bangkok, have come up with a new way of punishing officers who break the rules - an eye-catching Hello Kitty armband. The armband is large, bright pink and has a Hello Kitty motif with two hearts embroidered on it.

From today, officers who are late, park in the wrong place or commit other minor transgressions will have to wear it for several days.

The armband is designed to shame the wearer, police officials said.

“This is to help build discipline. We should not let small offences go unnoticed,” Police Colonel Pongpat Chayapan told Reuters news agency.

“Guilty officers will be made to wear the armbands in the office for a few days, with instructions not to disclose their offences. Let people guess what they have done,” he said.

Further offences would be dealt with using a more traditional disciplinary panel, he said.

The cartoon character Hello Kitty was first introduced by Japanese company Sanrio in 1974.

The cute round-faced cat has become an Asia-wide marketing phenomenon, with Hello Kitty products such as stationery, hair accessories and kitchen appliances available across the region.

This is such a bizaare story! I would never think of Hello Kitty as something that can humiliate or shame anyone. However, considering how these police officers have to project a manly-man-man’s-man type of image, I suppose this system has a chance of working… that is, if they don’t fall prey to Hello Kitty’s disarming charm and utter cuteness.

I’m not sure how this punishment scheme went for the Thai police force but I have a feeling a lot of them have started coming to work late on a daily basis. hahaha!

Works of Art Right at/on Your Feet.

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

A friend of mine, Martin, whom I’ve known to be a SUPERB (I’m highlighting this because superb isn’t even enough to describe his artistic prowess) artist has recently entered into a small business customizing plain white sneakers into works of art. He lets you have free reign over the design of your shoes. If, say, you would like to have Lloromannic (yes, I like them very much!) on your shoes, he’ll paint them on a pair of plain white sneakers and you can rest assured that he will do an amazingly impeccable job at it.

Need proof? Here are some of his works. Prepared to be blown away!

More HK Wedding Dresses

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

I Like these ones better than those I posted previously.

I love the white dress! The blue one reminds me too much of Cinderella’s ball gown. :)

HK for Vendetta

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

Saw this while browsing through deviantART:

I never imagined Hello Kitty wearing a V for Vendetta costume which is why I was super delighted when I saw this! Just had to share it here :) This image was created by kristinelouise for deviantART.

How about a Hello Kitty Wedding Dress?

Friday, February 29th, 2008

For die-hard Hello Kitty fans (assuming a big percentage of you are girls!), why not wear a Hello Kitty wedding dress on the most important day of your life?

What do you think?

Move over, Havaianas!

Friday, February 29th, 2008

I’ll take these over any pair of Havaianas, anytime! Besides the fact that they’re cheaper… they’re also WAY cuter.

These are some of the items from Banana Peel’s Hello Kitty collection.

Hello Kitty stuff I would *love* to have!

Friday, February 29th, 2008

I found these in a Multiply online shop:

How about having Hello Kitty as part of your breakfast, lunch, and dinner?? I would love, love, love to see her everytime I eat! Though I think I would be taking more time admiring my rice than actually eating!

And for those moms out there who are struggling with their young daughters every meal time, this could be a nice way to encourage their children to eat. Doesn’t rice seem a lot yummier?

Oh my, I think I will be MORE of a coffee addict if I had this. haha!
