Works of Art Right at/on Your Feet.

A friend of mine, Martin, whom I’ve known to be a SUPERB (I’m highlighting this because superb isn’t even enough to describe his artistic prowess) artist has recently entered into a small business customizing plain white sneakers into works of art. He lets you have free reign over the design of your shoes. If, say, you would like to have Lloromannic (yes, I like them very much!) on your shoes, he’ll paint them on a pair of plain white sneakers and you can rest assured that he will do an amazingly impeccable job at it.

Need proof? Here are some of his works. Prepared to be blown away!

Beautiful pieces of art, right?

They are, no? He did a beautiful job re-creating the Mona Lisa on a pair of sneakers. If I bought them I really wouldn’t be able to use them… I’d be too afraid of getting them dirty!

The last pair is my favorite! Heehee!

  4. dianaslittlehelper:hellokitty.com Says:

Can I have you face painted on these sneakers too? (hmmm.. isn’t that a bit creepy?)

  5. mrsawesomeplanet:hellokitty.com Says:

it would be nice to have my kids’ face painted over my sneakers…but I’m not a sneakers person..

I love the Mona Lisa one! :)

Cool!!! Hand-paint? I was going to comment that painting a Hello Kitty seems a lot easier than painting the other characters, but then I noticed that the whole shoe was painted with Hello KittyS!

manilafashionobserver: They are super cute, no? One problem lang I’m not too fond of the style of the sneaker itself :p I *LOVE* MFO both at sanriotown and blogspot! :)

dianaslittlehelper: I think you can. He did a pair with the face of the owner on the sneakers. It was a bit cartoon-ish though, but I loved what he did with that all the same. You can check out his Multiply site.

mrsawesomeplanet: AWW!! That’s a really cute idea!!! :) They’re not that expensive naman so I don’t think you’ll be compelled to wear them :p

superbong: Yeaahh, Harry Potter is the SHIZNIT! :p

tingal79: yup! all hand-painted!! Amazing, huh? Seemed like they were machine printed coz all the hello kitties weren’t deformed or in weird proportions at all!! :)

Those. Are. Awesome. I love the Potter ones! The sneakers themselves don’t look all that pretty though.:(

  10. polkadotrn:hellokitty.com Says:

iheartbadtz: Yup that’s my only complaint about them, the shoes! wah! They just remind me of old people, brisk walking, and Greenhills. :(

Ah, but hand-painted and machine-painted are totally different, no?
