today…

TACO DAY!

Even thought this holiday was invented by the government to make people forget about the important matters, I want everyone to know that there is a taco day and that you should celebrate it like any other holiday, so go to taco bell or something and a have a nice carne asada taco or a big breakfast burrito.

(half price tacos at a taqueria near you!)

YAY!

One of the things I enjoy doing the most is reading comics. It’s easier than reading a book (which I also enjoy doing) and it can be a very educational experience. Ok, that depends on which comics you read. Anyway, it’s cool. So this are my comic-faves so far…
My favorite comics of all times:

1. Blue Monday - Chynna Clugston

Hell yeah. This is the first graphic novel that my innocent hands ever touched, held and felt. It was also my introduction to graphic novels and the great world that comics are. It is also funny as hell. Chynna Clugston is a great artist and an ingenious comic creator. This is totally worth reading even if you are not really interested in comics.

2. Fantastic Butterflies - James Kochalka

Actually everything by James Kochalka is freakin’ awesome, but this is the first graphic novel by him that I read. It has some great art and it can be enjoyed by E V E R Y O N E.

3 . Scott Pilgrim - Bryan Lee O’Malley

Drama, humor, fights, love triangles, good music, great style, and cool art. All in this awesome graphic novel by Bryan Lee O’Malley.

Honorable Mentions:

Sharknife - Corey Lewis

This is not the best [graphic novel] I’ve ever read, but the art is just AWESOME. Corey Lewis is definitively one of my biggest influences (although my drawings are crap compared to his) right after Chynna Clugston & James Kochalka. Plus, Corey Lewis is H-O-T.

See what i mean?

Calvin & Hobbes - Bill Watterson

awwwww!!! this is so funny and cute!!! (that’s all i have to say)

Further Grickle - Graham Annable

This is an awesome alternative comic. Not the best art, but definitively ingenious.

Other great comics:

Emo Boy - Steve Emond.

Foreign Exchange - by some guy whose name i can’t remember.

WEB COMICS

Player vs. Player - Scott Kurtz

PVP is simply FANTASTIC! Seriously, it’s funny as hell. It’s got fart jokes, nerd jokes, gamers jokes, really obscure pop culture jokes, panda attacks, a little romance and a huge 500 pound blue troll. What else do we need?

Project-y - Daniel Mankoff…or something…and some other guy…

Okay, the things is that this a web comic that started a few years ago and there hasn’t been a new comic strip for about three years ago or something, their web page doesn’t even exist anymore. That’s a shame because it was an extremely funny comic strip. I don’t remember the names of the creators. In the comic strip, they were called Dave and Dan, I think their real names are David something and Daniel Mankoff, but I’m not sure.

So, that’s it. What a long post, but i think it’s worth it, and about the last post, the whole people-being-mad-at-me thing just got fixed…I think.

I can’t have people being mad at me. It sucks.

I like this awesome guy & i don’t do anything about it.

I got a “C” in gym class.

I didn’t win the painting contest. I feel like i should have had

& my computer only has one song in it.

this is deff one of the worst day i’ll ever have.

UPDATE: the other fish also died. Why? why, oh, why?
i seriously enjoy writing posts. It’s awesome because you can just sit back and write anything and it will still make a good post, unless you have a blog about an specific topic, then you have to be good.

So anyway, I’m a nerd because i don’t use windows anymore. PC-BSD is my new operation system & i love it.

I also bought three fish. Two goldfish and the other one was gray. They died today. I don’t know why, i took care of them all the time.

I guess that’s it. That’s the shortest post I’ve ever made but, who cares? I know i don’t.
