Our plans for world domination continues!  Sanrio fans in Thailand will soon be able to enjoy Hello Kitty Online as C2 Vision Co., Ltd, a leading PC game distributor and developer in the country brings the cuteness of Hello Kitty and her friends to the region!

The first beta test of Hello Kitty Online in Thailand is scheduled in the first half of 2010.  For more information, you can read the rest of the press release here.

It’s time to reward the hard work and achievements of our loyal beta testers!  Several events were held during the Sanrio Digital beta runs.  The winners of these Beta events are eligible for rewards in Hello Kitty Online’s North American version, available at http://hko.aeriagames.com.

At the end of the Founders’ Christmas Reunion, guilds rushed to collect the resources needed to make their own customized guild shirts and hats.  Now it’s time to submit your guild designs!  For more details, check out the mechanics in the HKO Event Blog.

During the global Closed Beta, the ultimate achievement was to build a house.  Players were asked to submit screenshots showing their avatars standing inside their farms and in front of their houses.  200 players accomplished this and will receive in-game money and crafting guides for unique items. Event rewards: Lucky Seven

• Exclusive crafting guides to produce unique avatar items.

Another achievement during the global Closed Beta was obtaining a pet.  Players were asked to take screenshots with 6 other players, each of them showing 1 pet for a total of 7 pets in the picture.  The 126 players who accomplished this challenge will receive in-game money and unique crafting guides. All rewards are valid exclusively for the North American release of Hello Kitty Online.  A confirmation email will be sent to the SanrioTown emails the winners used to login to Hello Kitty Online during the events.  We will be announcing the dates when the rewards can be claimed, so check back often!

Hello Kitty Online receives another positive review, this time from Examiner!  Tucson Video Game Examiner Tara Foulkrod took a peek at the North American closed beta of Hello Kitty Online and she liked what she saw.

According to her review:

“The graphics are smooth, and what you would expect from the Hello Kitty world.  Very detailed and very much from a fantasy world.  The controls are easy to master, and the quests are relatively easy to finish.  Very child friendly, and very friendly in general.  I’m going to give this game an 8.0/10…”

Hello Kitty Online has conquered North America! September 1, 2009 marked the beginning of HKO craze in the country as Aeria Games: the exclusive publisher of the game in NA, announced the start of the HKO Closed Beta in their region.  An overwhelming and increasing number of enthusiastic fans have registered and are still signing up to join and enjoy Hello Kitty Online.

One of the unique aspects of Hello Kitty Online is the integration of online social networking services. We are now improving that further! We are expanding Hello Kitty Online’s blogging features through Adventurer’s Journal: an in-game feature that allows players to post real time blog entries about their farms and houses.

Players will be able to show everyone their farm and house status, their wonderful farm designs, new furniture, interior arrangements and more in their blogs. A special in-game window will allow you to update your blogs and post some in-game images without leaving the game!

This month’s SanrioTown event features Bubble Catcher, a very special HKO-themed minigame where players can catch HKO pets to win the game! Hello Kitty Online is now in Southeast Asia, and we invite all our fans and players from Singapore and Malaysia to join the fun! Starting today at exactly 12:00 (GMT+8), Gloot.net will be hosting their Commercial Preview for HKO. This launch serves as their Open Beta, where players will be able to access the Item Mall and enjoy special events led by the Game Masters.

To participate in the commercial preview, sign up for an account at SanrioTown South East Asia, download the client from the Gloot.net download page, and log-in to the game using your SanrioTown SEA email address.

If you live in Singapore and Malaysia, all you have to do is follow these simple steps to join the Open Beta:

Step 1: Sign up for an account at SanrioTown South East Asia
Step 2: Download the game client from the Gloot.net Download page
Step 3: Using your SanrioTown SEA email address, log-in to the game and create your very own character
