A hearty hello from the Hello Kitty Online Team! First off, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Abby Reyes, known to many of you as the fry-loving GM Abby, and I currently work on content, events, and community design within the development team.

I’m here on a special mission, because we’re starting something new here on the HKO blog. I, on behalf of the development team, will be posting regular updates on what’s happening in the game, what we’ve been up to, and some insights on upcoming releases. We will also be addressing concerns that come to our attention from our community. From this day forth, this section shall be known as the HKO Developer’s Diary!

With that said, I’d like to start off with a letter to our players. The past few weeks have been insightful to us, as we’ve gathered some feedback and suggestions about recent updates to the game, and are amazed at the urgency by which certain concerns were raised. This, above everything, tells us how devoted our players are to Hello Kitty Online.

I’m pleased to say that we have been working behind the scenes to improve certain aspects of the game.

For starters, we’ve been crunching numbers like no tomorrow to address issues with the economy. Ultimately, we want players to feel rewarded for their hard work in the game, and the colorful charts tell us that we’re heading in the right direction. Expect these changes to come out very soon.

Monster Stats and Targeting
We’ve also been looking into our monster stats, and we would like to assure everyone that we are hard at work to balance the system out. Also, we are exploring ways to lessen frustration with the targeting system. We can’t let those critters get away with their mischief – we’re on your side!

Rest assured that we will be rolling these updates out as soon as possible, and we hope you enjoy the upcoming changes. We love hearing from you, and we hope that this strengthens the bond we have with you, our dear players. Thank you all for your continued support and for playing Hello Kitty Online. Until next time!

  1. I’m glad that you heard us out. Cutting down monster’s attack damage to atleast 2/5 of current damage would do.. maybe? It would aso be fun if players would have skills to defend from monsters. These skills need not to be brutal but they could be fun/magic or trick skills. ^^

  2. Thanks for keeping us in the loop! :)

  3. Thank you so much for listening, we know you are trying hard and you have our loyal support, we do appreciate your effort here! Thanks for giving us HKO!

  4. Thanks 4 the info.

  5. this is definitely welcome communication from the development team. it’s nice to know that our concerns have been listened to. i’ve been patient so far and i’ll remain patiently waiting for the improvements that i know now will be forthcoming.

one thing though, i hope the “country checking error” for hko-na will be fixed soon…

  6. Thank you so much for posting, and letting us know! Hopefully we haven’t been too brutal on you guys :(

  7. nice to hear from u abby! looking forward to the new changes ^^
its good to know that hko is actually trying to fix all those problems that we’ve been having all this time :)

  8. Thank you for at least letting us know what is going on and for listening to our cry for help. This is deffinitely a step in the right direction. I am sure I speak for many of the players when I say that by just letting us know that you hear us and are trying to do something about it takes a lot of frustration off our minds.

  9. yay! :)

  10. Thank you Abby! Communication is very helpful!
I am glad to know that SD is listening.
Also , I apprecaite the Gm’s who have forwarded our concerns !
Extra thanks to GM Morningbell - I think she was the one that said she would try to get attention to changing Tailor Made quest chain to be more reasonable (and non-burry ball ish!)!
I am NOT amazed like the team :” are amazed at the urgency by which certain concerns were raised.” Many of us LOVE this game and want to see it be play-able and fun for a broad audience! Thanks again Abby-Hope to see more updates here soon.~serenitycat

  11. Thanks abby, it can get frustrating when we get bottle necked by a mob hitting quest that gives the equipment to do all the other quests.

  12. Thanks for listening to our cry ^^ I personally would love to see our “defense” become useful again, even if you have to cut each item’s “defense” by half…having a completely useless number attached to items makes me so sad ^^ Thanks for the continuing updates.

  13. Thank you very much, please keep us updated, we love the game and want it to be the best! We’ll help spread the news about what a great game it is too! Please keep it up! Thanks!

  14. I wish when you all fix those things, that you’d also make the creature cards not so hard to get again. I’m doing the pet card quest and I have knocked out tons and still no cards. It’s so frustrating.

  15. Also could you all add an easy level to the house building game? I’ve tried so many times to pass it but I just can’t. :( I really want to build my house. ;_;

  16. would love to hear more from you abby!
any news ? hearing our latest concerns ?

  17. It’s an remarkable paragraph in support of all the internet viewers; they will get benefit from it I am sure.

  18. So luck to come across your excellent blog. Your blog brings me a great deal of fun.. Good luck with the site. http://www.rebelmouse.com/satellite_internet/
