Food for Friends 2 Guild Competition Results (Singapore & Malaysia)

The final numbers for our in-game charity event Food for Friends 2 are in, and the results are truly astounding! All together, participating guilds from across different regions created and donated a grand total of 1,248,257 items!

Please note that the in-game donation scoreboard did not provide accurate final results. We had to recalculate the final scores to account for an exploit that allowed players to generate large amounts of money in a short time. In rare cases where the results were very close, guilds will “share” placement and prizes. We apologize for the delay. Now, without further ado, here is the final list of winners!

Remember, in addition to the above prizes, all participants in Food for Friends 2 will receive Loyalty Points equal to their guild’s total donation points divided by the number of guild members who took part in the event. Loyalty Points can be used to buy many exciting in-game items from the Item Mall in Hello Kitty Online!

Note that Loyalty Points have not yet been distributed to players – we ask for your patience while we finalize this process.

KAWAII 10 CONTEST!

On the launch day for Kawaii@HKO in Sunway Pyramid on the 19 & 20 December, participants were entitled for a free HKO MXR photoshoot sponsored by Canon.

A total of 100 photos taken were picked to enter the Kawaii 10 Contest, which are available for voting on our website www.gloot.net/kawaii-gallery . Come vote for your favourite KAWAII photo! Voting period ends on 9 March 2010.

1. Participants needs to register a HKO account in registration booth during the registration session to participate in the Mini-game contest.

2. Each round consists of TWO Mini-games to be played by the participants.

3. Each round’s Mini-games will be chosen randomly by the management.

4. ‘How to play’ Mini-game tutorial will be showed to participants before start of the contest.

5. Only 10 participants per round. (Minimum 5 participants every round for the event to run)

6. Score of every participant will be noted down by the management.

7. Five participants with the highest score ranking will get exclusive prize on the spot for each round.

8. Each participants will only be allowed to join once.

9. Testing accounts will be provided for the contest.

10. Management reserve the authority to make any changes to the contest.

A PERFECT DAY IN THE FARM

One bright sunny day, GM-Zel walk in on GM-Bacon in his farm. “WOW! What a huge and beautiful farm you have!” shouts GM-Zel. “It’s just normal…please don’t be so amazed,” says GM-Bacon. “I am not. I really think you have a great farm with so many trees and plants..and YOU NEVER SHOWED IT TO ALL OF US!!” yells GM-Zel.

“This cannot be, I am sure many other townsfolk owns amazingly beautiful farms which we have not seen too! I know!! We will have a contest for the most awesome farm! Not only that, they have to share the farm with their friends too. It will be like a farm day with friends and family?!” shouts GM-Zel excitedly. GM-Bacon just stares at GM-Zel stunned by all his ideas for wanting so much to get all the farm of SanrioLand’s townsfolk be known and appreciated.

“Okay, if this will get our town people’s farm known and appreciated, let’s do this! It’will be great to see all those lovely farms. But we need a perfect title and I think it should go like this “ A Perfect Day In Your Farm”. Now let’s set out the participation rules,” says GM-Bacon. GM-Zel jumps up and down in excitement whole day while setting the rules with GM-Bacon.

A Perfect Day In Your Farm
Date: November 27 – December 3 2009

Gather a group of up to 5 friends in your farm or house and write a story on your blog about how the perfect day with your friends will be.

Mechanics:
Gather up to 5 friends into your house or farm.
Make sure you have the option to show all player names enabled. (post with HKO Sea Sanriotown username and domain eg. xxxx@hellokitty.com.my/sg or xxxx@mymelody.com.my/sg)
Using the in-game Mini-Blog feature, write a short story on what a perfect day with your friends in HKO will be like.
Deadline for submissions will be 5pm GMT+8 December 3, 2009
Event thread will be open in gloot.net forum to let players post up their Mini-Blog link.

Three winners will be judged according to how good the story is and how well they conveyed the story through the screenshot. Those who submitted the blog entry with his or her friends visible in the screenshot will be eligible to win the following:

Be Healthy! Stay Healthy! Don’t Be LAZY!!!

After the Halloween gathering in the past week, the GM Team felt that they have gained a few pounds in weight. Not only that! The townsfolk of SanrioLand which joined the gathering was also putting on weight! “This is not good for health. We need to lose some weight,” says GM-Mel. “We need to exercise!” says GM-Zel. “What about a Marathon Run? This will make all of us slimmer and healthier,” says GM-Ben. “Not everyone has great stamina though..we do not want them to hurt themselves,”says GM-Cyrene. “Alright then, we will have a Jog-A-Thon for the townsfolk of SanrioLand! Do I have your support on this?” says GM-Mel. “ Aye! We do!” roars the GM Team at once.

So our GM Team is inviting all townsfolk of SanrioLand to participate in the “Jog with Us” Jog-A-Thon event!! The event will run at 10PM sharp, so make sure you come early.

Event starts:

Date: November 19-22, 2009

Time: Every 10PM – 11 PM (1 Hour)

What you need to do:

• Wait for GM’s cue on the starting line venue and their locations 30 minutes before time and get to the venue.

• Contestants have to reach specified checkpoints before reaching the finish line. If contestants missed the checkpoints, they will be disqualified.

• GM will take down names of contestants on the spot before the race starts.

• GM will give you info/clue on the venue of the checkpoints and the finish line will be located.

• When GM shouts “ On your mark, get set, GO! ” all contestants will race to the checkpoints and then to the finish line.

Prizes:

1st Place: 2500 Money

2nd Place: 2000 Money

3rd Place: 1500 Money

4th Place: 1000 Money

5th Place: 500 Money

2. Players who is late will have to join next race.

1^st November 2009, Hello Kitty Online threw a birthday bash to mark the 35^th birthday for Hello Kitty. The birthday bash was held in London, her birth place. Many players turned up as early as 7pm to camp around London to count down to the birthday party!!!

For those who missed out on this huge party, let us share with you the moments and games which were organized by our nice and friendly Game Masters.

Hmm…this was taken moments before the doors were opened for the party goers attending the Birthday Bash. Look at the crowd!! Everyone is so hyped up and eager for the party!!!Take a look at the screenie. Players are feeling high and excited. High five to you if you are able to spot our Game Masters in this picture!

Party, Party, Oh Yeah… Oh Yeah…players were tying furiously in the chat box to get the game masters to commence the birthday celebration. At the stroke of the clock reaching 8PM sharp, our Game Masters started the party with some games and quizzes. The first game was “Hide and Seek” whereby players need to ’seek’ for Hello Kitty and shouting out loud “Happy Birthday Kitty!” in different locations around London to win some awesome prizes!! Gamers were running in all directions trying to find Hello Kitty.

After all the ‘running’ around, gamers were still very energetic. Game Masters moved on to the next “Quiz Bees” whereby players have to guess the correct answers to the tricky quizzes so as to win the big prize of the night. A GIANT PINATA CAKE!! Gamers became even more excited when they saw the piñata. Everyone gathered and got into a big frenzy to break the pinata.

Bang..Bang..Bang…they cracked open the pinata and out flew the special treats for everyone! Hello Kitty was there to join in the fun too. Can you spot her?

Time passed quickly and the birthday bash had to end, all party goers left the party happy and full with goodies ^^

It was a fun filled night with games, prizes and to be able to celebrate Hello Kitty Birthday with her. Big thanks and hugs to all who attended the party!!! See you soon again in Sanrio land.
