if kitty still wants to become a lamp, or two lamps as i think the design ultimately became, she, and her empty bubble bottle, would have to go on a trip for a while. single small internal dimmerable light bulb would be easy, internal dimmerable lightbulb and turn-key or push through switch type lamp over top would be trickier,but viable, and either way the bottle, or part of it, would be integral, but not necissarily the only way to do it, but still the simplest way i can think of to solve a few of the presumed obstacles, engineering obstacles at least

a dimmer is impractable
i have an A/B/AB switch
internal light/ outside (w/lampshade) bulb/both
internal bottle, empty or otherwise, not so necissarily required
it’d prolly help, but there’s never one solution to any problem
