A Tubby Tabby, Three Konekos, and a Life with Hello Kitty and Autism

About Kittymama

Okasaneko is Kittymama, and it’s easy enough to guess why.

Okasan is Japanese for Mother, as Neko is Japanese for Cat. Melding these two words came up with an unlikely version of my English moniker Kittymama.

A Tubby Tabby, Three Konekos and a Life with Hello Kitty and Autism.

Hmmm… that just about sums my life with my husband, my two boys (the three men in my life– my konekos!), my undying fascination for all things Hello Kitty, and my lifelong advocacy for autism. There are days when I feel like I am balancing too many balls in the air, but hey, who hasn’t felt the same way every now and then? The key to life, I believe, is to treasure the little “happiness-es” we take for granted each day. Then, and only then, can we start to live.

So hop along my life’s journey with me. It’s bound to be a rollercoaster!
