Don’t forget to participate in the minigames event in HKO this week!  It should be lots and fun.  At the very least, a small change in our everyday routine in HKO.

I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

Good luck to all!

If you read a couple posts back, we were heading to NYC for a couple days.  We got off the train in Grand Central, hopped the shuttle over to Times Square and popped out on the street almost right in front of the Sanrio Store…without even trying!  It seemed like destiny, but alas….it was not :(

The store is very tiny and really has nothing more in it than what can be purchased online at sanrio.com.  Although we girls were slightly disappointed, we made iffy plans to return later and possibly make a big purchase - as in a large HK for the youngest that just would not be fun to carry all around Manhattan for an entire day.

After an afternoon in MoMA (Tim Burton exhibit is awesome by the way) a stop into the Swatch store, an afternoon cocktail somewhere, we headed to China Town.  It was there that our first real HK  purchase came to be in the form of a rhinestone bangle bracelet complete with a Hello Kitty face almost as big as the purchasers palm.  Needless to say, this was the perfect combination for a young Hello Kitty fan…cute kitty face with lots of sparkles that can be worn for all to see.  A few other small HK purchases at another store in China Town and we were hungry.  A little dinner in Little Italy and it was time to leave the city.  We did not return to the Sanrio store :(

But never fear…HK seems to be everywhere these days and thank goodness!  We hit the mother load the next day at a little store in the Woodbury Commons Outlet Center, called World of Fun.  They had everything a HK fan could want so after a stuffed Chococat, a candy dispenser/key chain, snow globe and a pen or two, we departed NY, complete with HK goodies.

No 1K watch…but still a good trip and fun with HK.

You know how they say “like father, like son”?  Well I am going with “like human, like avatar”.  I got a new bag in NY last week and little fashion challenged avatar nstob got a new bag last night (or should I say early this morning?) from a very dear and sweet friend.  Here it is:

Oh…check out the new slippers, too. Those are very cute and very much appreciated from MorningBell and the developers. I guess they all agreed to give us a little gift for dealing with a messy patch. If only real life were so kind when having to deal with messy situations and “patches”…

Anyway…I love, love, love my new bag…and love, love, love my friend and guildmate for the gift. It is far too kind of her. I seem to say that a lot about her…

Have you seen your online game profile?

Here is mine:

Thought this was cool and wanted to share. If you haven’t checked yours out, just go to Sanriotown.com and click on Online Game Profile.

I just had to comment on what a great guild we have with Faith and how awesome it is to see so many of us winning at all the great events put on by our GMs and GSs.  It is fun to participate with such a nice group of players and even better when we win some fun prizes!

Congrats Faith Guildees on our recent good luck streak and let’s keep up the participation and winning!

Well…we have finally decided that we will indeed go to NYC for spring break…yay!  We have gone several times before and always have a great time.  This trip we plan on visiting MoMA and of course….the Sanrio store in Times Square.

If you have any suggestions, let me know.  We love to hit the city and museums, shop and eat.   The girls love China Town (we’ve even purchased Hello Kitty items there….or as we call them Herro Cat since we realized later they may not be authentic Sanrio ;)

Little Italy for lunch is always fun and riding the subway is always an adventure (we drive everywhere where we live so the subway is fun for the girls…just “interesting” for mom and dad.  Someday I will share the stories of the man with Tourettes on the subway and the drunk on the train…but not now.)

Anyway…so looking forward to a new adventure in the big apple and a visit to the Sanrio Store!  Now to figure out what we might want to bring back with us from Sanrio…

I love this wallet…but my wallet (of almost 18 yrs!) is still in great condition and I still love it…but who says a girl can’t have 2?

I would love to bring this watch home…but the $1k is probably a little more than hubby had in mind to spend at the Sanrio store.

Perfect for Easter….

I think I really want this license plate frame!

I really think this might be the winner…combining Hello Kitty and sleeping…two of my favorite things…

Here is my entry for the St. Patrick’s Day screenshot contest in the forums:

just thought I would share since it is the first thing I have done in a long time in paint.  Man I need new software for editing stuff…

I am soooooo excited!

I finally won a drawing for a great piece of clothing for my wardrobe challenged avatar nstob. It is a cute little My Melody T-shirt.  Did I mention I am excited!
I want to thank Dragonfly for hosting the event and kira for flipping me the extra apples (I forgot we needed 5 and showed up with 1!) Without either of them, my dream of a big closet for little nstob would not be on its way!
Cross your fingers and toes for more good luck to come my way with events. Poor nstob is already worried about what to do on wash day when her new My Melody T-shirt is in the wash ;)

So there is a screenshot contest going on for St. Patrick’s day and I have no idea what to do for it.  I may have to bring in the big guns….my girls…and see what they think and have them help me.  I have drawn a blank for days and I really need to get it finished.  Maybe we will work on that tonight.

If you have any ideas you would like to share, let me know!

So Easter is right around the corner and the Easter bunny has nothing planned for all the kids (young and old) at my house.  Yes we all agree here that the real meaning of Easter lies in the saving of us all by Jesus, but none of us mind a little candy and fun to really make it a grand celebration either.

My favorite Easter candy by a long mile are chocolate covered marshmallows…I think they would be my first choice as my one food source if given a choice when being dropped on a deserted island.  I swear 10 years ago I gained about 15 pounds that spring and it all could be attributed to chocolate covered marshmallows.  It took a little while to run it off, but it just might have been worth it.

So this year I was thinking about trying to make it a Hello Kitty Easter in the way of Easter treats and gifts.  We used to have Easter egg hunts for friends and family in our big back yard when the girls were really little.  Oh what a hoot!  But since they are a little older, a little more mature and I am a little older and a little more immature, I am thinking hunting down some fun Kitty stuff might just make this Easter a little more fun like when I could still dress them in pink dresses and send them out back with their basket to hunt those colorful eggs.   I miss those times.  I guess I am hoping that Hello Kitty can help me get a little of my little girls back without making them feel like I am treating them like they are 4 again.

Oh but if they were only 4 again….
