Finally my Hello Kitty Membership Card was ready for pick up last Tuesday in Trinoma! I’ve been waiting for this for sooooo long, it took me almost 3 months before getting the card itself. Hmmm… now, I’m an official member of my fave club, I’m so excited to get and buy some cool kitty stuffs that are on display. I love the new kitty digicam there with a very cute pouch…. I would love to have it but it cost so much……… haaaaay! Anyway, I’ll be using it on my birthday to get my free perks and a special 20% off on my purchased items! Yahoo! that’s a lot of savings too!!!! That would be a very, very happy birthday to me!

We just had our dinner at Circle’s Event Cafe in Makati Shangri-la and Juiilian have to take this home with her, It’s a chocolate compact! a dark flavored chocolate placed in a somewhat make-up compact, it comes with a mirror too. She loves it, knowing how kikay my 2year old is. But she’s really not a fan of dark chocolates, she finds it a bit bitter yet a little sweet. Not her type , so I have to eat the chocolate that comes with it and give her most awaited compact mirror.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent and occurs forty days before Easter (excluding Sundays). At masses and service of worship on this day, ashes are imposed on the foreheads (or tonsure spots, in the case of some clergy) of the faithful. The priest, minister or in some cases officiating layperson marks the forehead of each participant with black ashes in the shape of a cross, which the worshiper traditionally retains until washing it off after sundown. The act echoes the ancient near eastern tradition of throwing ash over one’s head to signify repentance before God.

We celebrated the 1st day of the Lenten Season at The Parish of the Holy Sacrifice in U.P. Diliman. Now the kids are more aware of what the Lenten season means.

The Parish of the Holy Sacrifice is the very first round stuctured church in the country and is the landmark Catholic chapel in U.P. Diliman. Known for its architectural design, the church is recognized as a National Historical Landmark and a Cultural Treasure by the National Historical Institute and the National Museum respectively.

It was designed by the late National Artist for Architecture, Leandro Locsin.

The year started nicely with 5 adoptions in the first 4 weeks of 2008!

Four lucky cats and a dog have found home and are even now basking in the love of their new human companions.

But the work’s not over! Over a hundred homeless of our kitty and doggy friends are still left waiting at the shelter. Want to give them a little help?
