Going LIVE!

Hi all im back after neally a month and i have some good news. i now have access to Xbox live Gold (alows me to play online and chat with others via micropones at the same time) my gamertag is neocoyo if annyone wishes to add me or wants to try and take me down in burnout paradise (my fave game at the moment).

 An annoynce

there is one thing that kinda “gets my goat” recently and it that why soo manny sanrio products and servces are primary avalible in the US and Asia only. I was under the impression that sanrio wanted to improve itts grasp on the european markets (true i have seen a graet deal more hello kitty products here) but in comparison to everywhere else i kinda feel that we (in England) are kinda getting a shorter end of the straw. im no economics student but i think that expanding the product range from america to enclude us in europe  (or at least accept orders from here just with an inflated shipping cost) would be a wize thing to do to boost sales without having to create product lines both regions.

just my view on the matter.

Final thought…

now i can add one more item to my list of HK products, a bathrobe (yh ok i know what your gonna say “ur a guy buying womens items of clothing, what the!???!?!” ) i guess my love for kitty may be a double edged sword (oh and when i say love i mean the type between 2 humans not the “he loves watching he shows” type) if i had to choose a god to worship it would be kitty (ive kinda got issues huh?)

im just dropping by to say hi and merry christmas, yh im a bit late here in England as itts 3:45AM but nobodys perfect. for me christmas is as exciting as any other day and the older i get the more it feels like a chore instead of a celebration. The best gift i personally recieved was socks (you can tell im getting old) and that was only cus i needed them (though 23 pairs is pushing the limits a bit). In all honesty im glad i got what i got cus id rather get somthing i need and can use than somthing i dont that will probly end up in storage. well enough of my rant i hope u all have a great christmas!

 Neocoyo

id like to add a new segment in place of my PC tips called “final note” itts just a place for not so important updates and random stuff.

Final Note.

ive bought a couple more hello kitty products, a hello kitty rug and a second quilt cover (i dont have it yet but itts being delivered on the 29th and will be the first cover i will use on my new bed being delivered the verry next day) hopfuly i wll feel more comfortable sleeping in a bed with no sides to it (im currently in a cabin bed thats rather claustrophobic and somwhat awkward to sleep in being enclosed in. My new PC is working better than expected (mabe now i can get some CGI animation done without my system crashing).

Broken Down!

the worst kind of failure a computer user can face occoured to me a few days back… a “Head Crash”. or in other terms my hard drive died on me. Lucky enough it was an old drive i was only using to run win XP off on my little storage server, it gave me a decade of good service and now its written itts last byte of data and gone to silicon heaven. i guess i must have overworked the little guy (i mean 10 years of near constant use, itts done verry well) a few days later my Xbox 360 encounterd the no GFX problem so that is allso gone to a better place (my bedroom cuboard to be exact) untill i can get a replacement motherboard for it (im gonna be out of it for a while, i guess) but then came the final embarrasment my motherboard in my server PC failed to register anny other hardrives correctly (to me these failures seem a little too well timed, to test my patience i guess) thus that has also been graded as failed but this cannt really be helped all the failed devices where over 3 years old so it was kinda expected…i hope 2010 holds better luck for my computers.

SUPER-charged!

today i was on a real high as it was the day i would get my PC woes sorted…armed with £250 i went PC part shopping and was instantly drawn to a little unit costing £169 for a refubished base system but the only downside was the lack of a decent GFX card (ATI X300 series is considerd a bit old in my books) i asked about what would be the best graphics card for my money would be and the sales klerk asked me an interesting question “do you plan on just using the parts from it to make a new PC or use old parts to improve it?” i replied “a bit of both to make the best out what i have currently” and was directed to a nice set of gear which is really best for my situation wich set me back a lot more than expected but was more than justified when i heard the specs…AMD Athlon 2 Dual core 3GHz 64bit CPU (Really fast stuff there. lol), a Gigabyte MA785GT-UD3H motherboard with built in graphics (hearing that the GFX was onboard made me feel a little unsure but then i heard that it was full HD capible i soon realised it was the real deal) and 2GB DDR3 Ram (the latest ram version, or in other words really FAST ram, which is good) which all came to the sweet tune of £210(for a as high spec PC in say PCWorld it would cost over 50% more) itts strange though, its the most i have spent in a single location EVER (u can tell im not the type to buy big things) dispite my great buy after i got home i realised id not done 1 thing…get a compatible PSU (Power Supply Unit). so yh for the moment i have a kick but computer with no power but hey no-ones perfect right?

****PC TIP****

when buying new PC parts make sure all the parts will work with one another otherwise u may end up in my situation finding out u cannt use what you just bought due to an incompatibility issue like me with my PSU mistake (oh and when buying a new CPU or motherboard make sure the both compatible try buying them together if possible and check with a shopkeeper if they can be put together otherwise ud just wasted a good £50 + on a CPU you cannot use)

****Final message****

to serenitycat,

things are going great sorry i have not replied sooner but college work and my job have keped me from my computer, im not planning to create a sector of the pirate guild in the EU servers i dont feel (as an individual) capible of taking onboard such a privlege as i have a sheer lack of skills needed to keep such a vessle afloat but id love to be a member of the HKO SEA Pirate crew as im starting to miss all the fun we used to have back in the betas.

laters, Neocoyo

Gearing Up

Im sorry i have not posted in a while but i have been bussy with college and work but enough of that, as of recent (thanks to my most recent paycheck) have aquired 2 new hello kitty products a hello kitty bed cover set and a 60 CM tall plush of kitty herself (of which is at by bedside constantly) allthough there is one thing i find odd, since i applied the covers to me bed i have found myself waking up more refreshed than usual, could this be thanks to having kitty at my side as i sleep?? could she have mystrious energizeing properties?? or is it just me and my feelings for her doing this??

Fessing Up

within the last few days i finally got the coruage to confront my friends and family and explain that i am a fan of kitty and im darn prowd of it! itts taken me neally a yearto pull myself together to make it known, us on sanriotown have known for a lot longer but then again i dont know annyone (who reads this) in real life and where as here, on the internet where all is anonimus its public knowledge, after all itts more embarasing to explain it in person (especialy if ur a guy like me). luckly i found the strength within to fess up to my friends alltho the bed cover set kinda did the job for me. lol (=^_^=) the look on my friend face when he saw them was priceless i had never seen a more horrified look in my life, but i guess i shoulda guesed it would happen as he is one of those types who dislike annything that isnt all violence and gore (oh well i guess it cannt be helped).

Lucky 7s

Tonight for the first time i was forced to use drastic measures on my laptop…a full system restore. I dont mean the one in windows iether, im talking from nothing! a little while back i remembered i had a beta copy of windows 7 lying around (back when MS was letting annyone download it) after thinking through what may happen i decided to install and im impressed, itts a whole lot faster than i imagined, the boot time has reduced, connecting to my WI-FI network was a lot simpler than before. (and yes this means im gonna have to download HKO again) (my ISP must really dislike me by now lol). oh well i guess somthing good came out of somthing bad.

my NEW desktop

hi all this is just a quick post to say happy halloween and happy birthday Kuromi!

i just hope you all have a frightful night apon this, the 31 of october!

oh and i thought you like a little treat while you are here…

HK09HALOWEENPSP1

one of the backgrounds for this month resized and modified for PSPs

and i am aware that the graphics apon this site are subject to copyright, of which all rights belong to Sanrio (being the original creators of the work). (but we knew all that already ;o)

as the title suggests i now have my own bike for the first time. I guess it would come to a suprise to most that even at the age of 18 i still had not learned the art of riding a bike untill now. to me it is kinda embarassing learning to ride a bike soo late in my life especially in public where it feels like the whole world is watchig every fall and crash (ironicly ive crashed about 5 times and all into signposts) which is kinda scary cus it kinda resembles a character i know from an anime i watch called bubu chacha known as Cathrine a teenager with a passion for art and seems to have a problem stopping her bike (crashes neally every eppisode). I guess itts a real learning curve for me and a milestone in my dovelopment as an individual.

Ok this isnt really a subject girls are interested in but hey. ove the summer ive had manny ideas on some games for hello kitty i guess i should list them…:

an idea i was thinking of is really just an improvement on the game saniotown kart. with manny games going for the male audience why not make this into a full scale game? making it more like the original mario kart on the SNES (with modern graphics)

another concept is taking on the idea of the “Black Wonder” site but making it into a puzzle adventure game where you playing as kitty or daniel havre to solve puzzles in order to escape the haunted mansion and the clutches of kuromi and baku with bosses like in hello kitty roller rescue (simply using thier own wepons against them) with the end battle being against kuromi herself! why as kitty or daniel? well im thinking both could have different storylines which reveal elements about kuromi and baku’s pasts

for those who dont know what i mean visit http://hkblackwonder.com/

what do you guys think?

yup itts that time of year again, back to school and back to the chaos of the classroom. I guess my views of the school system are kinda shoddy but hey my school life was a living nightmare. annyhow enough of that…

im now back at college for another year of failure. itts kinda my fault though i chose a subject i knew id ultimately fail on. luckly my tutors have noticed it and has reduced my qualification to need less work so i can go at my own pace *as i explained in a prevous post im slower than most school work wise that is*. All i can do is my best to survive this year and hope i can pull this one off.

a few days a go i started my very first job. Ok a chistmas temp is not really somthing to jump and shout about but a jobs a job in todays world. Working in a stock room of a big shop is not as scary as manny make it out to be. and heck if a 18 yr old dyslexic ashtma sufferering full time student can do it then i guess itts got to be easy work. right?

Sorry that i havent posted in a while but it has been a verry eventful time for me. Ive finally managed to get a job of my own, started my Second year of college and had a few ideas for some Hello Kitty style computer games. so letts get started…..

about 10 mins ago i awoke from a dream that made me question reality…

i mean somtimes i wonder if this is real or just a dream itself, in the last few years i have found myself seeing more and more unrealistic things in life. i often consider the world of hello kitty to be more real than our own, yet at the same time i feel as if i shouldnt be as old as i am, i may only be 18 but in the back of my mind something is telling me i should younger than  10!

Am i going insane or is it logical to feel this way at my age?? i need you to help me make sense of this…if these are the signs of insanity…or if i should think nothing of it…perhaps an identity chrysis

DvdVideoSoft want to download that video off youtube and put it onto your Ipod, phone or PSP?

these softwares are completely safe

(i would never recommend a software i dont use and i dont feel is safe)

today has been good indeed, i have finally retuned my sleeping to its default (awake in the day and asleep at night) setting and i have managed to set up a exercise routine to help get me into shape (after all i need to get more active) `but the best thing is tomorrow i start to learn the computer programming language C++ ! i feel this is going to a good week…

PC tip #6 there is always a free way!

During these tough economic times we all wish we could have something for nothing
right? well with computer programs there is allways a free option waiting for you to try out, microsoft office can cost a nuke and a half but OpenOffice is completely free, want to edit that piece of music you think could go wonderfully with that Dream Studio project? why not download Audacity? that Norton antivirus that came with your computer keeps bugging you by subscribe for $40? just get AVG antivirus?

there is allways a free version to be had. if you look in the right places…

tomorrow i will tell you the best free and safe software you can get…

the day before yesterday i found out somthing about myself what i never thought could be true…29 july 2009 at 11:50 am i found out i was a dyslexic. i have allways found that i was slower than most others but i never realised that this was what was holding me back. For soo many years i have allways been a slow learner and ive had a bad memory for a long time too, though i dont know if i should be freaking out? feeling blessed? or relieved that i finally know whats wrong. for more info visit http://www.beingdyslexic.co.uk

if there is any advice anyone can offer on the subject or if there any tips you can offer just leve a comment…

PC tip #5 Use a lighter media player

every computer i have ever used has slowed down when a piece of music or a video clip has been played and this is because the media player being used is too bulky. a great example of this is windows media player 11 or itunes, a smaller player can help reduce the pressure on your computers resorces (CPU power and RAM) and help keep the performance up when it is playing your fave tunes, after all you dont want a slow computer whilst playing HKO just because you dont want to listen to the ingame music right?? (ok, ok, you could modify the game files but this may make it unplayable and will break the T&Cs of use!) A good, light and a genuinely good media player is VLC media player http://www.videolan.org. check it out and tell me is if it better or worse than your current player.

(ok, ok i admit this tip is kinda crummy but just trust me VLC rocks for all media formats)

till next time…

ws7pfvgcax

this morning when i tried to log onto HKO SEA i had not noticed that it had been taken down until 2 hours later *i guess i should have checked my e-mails first =0)* so i decided to have a look at the HKO site and to my great supprise the whole site has had a re-fit and also the latest HKO client is downloadable now but i warn you it has a heck of a lot of patches to do but its worth it in the end if you just cannot wait to get online. For more info and to download the client and start patching visit hellokittyonline.com for more information

PC Tip #4 Keep your computer up to date

keeping your computer allows Microsoft and Apple to fix bugs and glitches in their operating systems, fixing these bugs can improve the speed and reliability of your computer and a more reliability is always a good thing right?…

As i sit here typing this i cannot believe what i am seeing, has this world really fallen into the hands if evil dictators? or is terrorism spreading further than the Middle East, Europe and the USA? As i watch the primary news channel in the UK i suddenly hear of 2 hotels in Jakarta a major city in indonesia being bombed. is this what the people of this planet have resorted to in the current global economic status?

i don’t believe the world can recover if all we do is cause pain and suffering to one another, if we all want to return to the world that peacefull paradise we all wish for then why cannot we work together to achieve this target?

with every generation this existance becomes more and more tainted with the sorrow and hatred of others. when will we realise that we are hurting no one else but our own selves?

i guess till the population of this planet realises this we are going to end up seeing this more and more often as global tention builds

but enough of the somewhat grim reality and now for the next segment

PC tip #3 Clear your Junk out

Junk on your hard disk is one of many elements that can affect the performance of your computer, what is junk you ask? well junk is all the files that your computer saves to itself to help speed up the load times of web sites and services on your computer. the types of file can vary from the flash games found on sanriowtowns gaming section to the video you may have watched on you favorite video site like youtube. the thing is your computer must download these files to itself in order to read them correctly so over time more and more files will take more precious space on you HDD an untill someone says otherwise those files are there for good.

so what can i do about it?

there are loads of ways you can clear junk from your system.

one of the ways is to clear your internet browsers cache which can be done in the settings of each browser.

a second way is to use a secondary program to do the job for you a great little program i use is Ccleaner which does the job well, although as with all programs you should allways make a restore point before you install just in case your computer rejects the software.

(NOTE:)
I would never make a link to a utility unless i know it is safe and works on windows XP and Vista.

The news recently been plagued with countries saying other countries are “evil” and the N.Korea missile testing but what would Hello Kitty herself say bout all this? Cant the world just be peaceful? or will we have to face a constant global power struggle? this is not the world I originally would have wished for and I am sure billions of others would agree, sometimes i was just a character in an anime where everything is just perfect. im doubting the world will be at peace within my lifetime. in a way the intro to the song “World so cold” by Mudvane is the best way to show how i feel

Here is another PC tip to consider…(and in these hot summers this one my just save your computing life)

#2. Keep your PC free from dust…

After a long time a fair amount of dust will gather inside your computer and this can cause serious problems and could in extreme cases make your CPU fail completely due to overheating. The fact is Dust does not conduct heat well and too much on the major parts of your system, the most likely place for there to be dust build up is on the CPU heat-sink (the Heatsink is the metal radiator like thing underneath the fan over your CPU) the CPU fan pulls cool air onto the heat-sink to cool it down but if the there is a layer of dust all that heat will not vent as well as it needs to making your computer heat up faster and faster and the hotter the CPU becomes the slower your applications and games will run and in some cases will cause windows or linux to freeze on start. (me being the smart-alec tried to fire up a PC without a heat-sink once and never got past the windows 98 boot window, silly me but give me a break i was 8 at the time.)

the simple solution is to simply remove the heat-sink and fan and blow the dust off each component in turn but do not worry about the odd looking substance on the bottom of the heat-sink and CPU that is the thermal conducting paste used to move the heat from the CPU itself and move it to the Heat-sink which the fan on top of it will blow the hot air away, keeping the brain of your computer nice and chilled helping it perform at its peak.

I know i may have ranted on on this one but don’t forget to come back soon for more tips on helping your computer work at its best, how i feel on news topics and much, much more

For anyone who does not know i am a highly adept PC user but knowing that i will soon be posting tips on how you can keep your computer running at its best and also i am very happy to answer questions you, the people of Sanriotown have about general computing and maintaining a fast and reliable computer.

Enough of all that, lets get the first tip out the way.

#1. Keep your computer De-fragmented…

many may be wondering what Defragmenting is, so i will explain

every time you do anything on your computer pieces of data get moved around your HDD, over time parts of these files will spread out and become cluttered. (this will make it harder and slower for the computer to read all of the file in one go making things seem much more sluggish)
Imagine a desk with loads of paperwork scattered all over the place, it will be slower and harder to find the work you are looking for. but if all those pieces of paperwork where sorted into piles it will take less time to find what you need. Defragmenting does just that, it sorts out all the files so your computer can get what it needs faster and with less fuss.

Microsoft windows has this tool as part of it and can be found in the system tools folder in Accessories

START>> All Programs>> Accessories>> System Tools>> Disk Defragmenter

I will share more tips over time on how to keep that PC running smoothly but for now, Cya

On this day the one and only legend that is Sonic the Hedgehog has turned 18, congratulations dude!

me and him go back a long way, i first played his games back in 1994 when i got my first games console, the Sega master system, i can still remember never being able to finish sky high zone on sonic 2 or jungle on Sonic 1 (which i still have not been able to complete to this date).

for such a legend to still be entertaining the masses is a truly amazing feat by anyones standards, right?

the first computer game i ever played and my first experience of Sonic was Sonic 2 on the master system

what was your first encounter with the blue dude with an attitude? in game? on TV? or in the comics?

with all the news of bigger more powerful computers and consoles hitting the shops and phones that can do more than needed what do we do with all the technology we don’t use anymore? sell it? trade it? destroy it? or leave it in the loft to rot over time?
I never do anything of the sort i still have my old sega master system from the early 90s and still play it and i still use VHS tapes for recording only because I do not want these great pieces of tech to be forgotten. In fact today i bought myself and old sega Game Gear and a Gameboy Advance SP just so i can re-live some of my old gaming past times. is it not bout time people started to look at what we used to use?

I’m generally considered to be quite a heavy gamer, yet recently i have found more retro games to be more entertaining. I mean how many people would trade a nintendo Wii for a SNES? not that i’ve done that of course =0)

on another note i have decided that a V-log is not going to work out so i am not going to continue
