The headstrong daughter of Silver Millennium’s Queen who bares the same name, Princess Serenity often explored the earth to admire its greenery even though it was forbidden. There, she met and fell in love with the Crown Prince of the Earth, Prince Endymion.

In the manga, when Queen Materia attacked the Moon Kingdom, Prince Endymion died protecting Princess Serenity, and she committed suicide in her grief. In the anime, however, they were both killed, and later resurrected on the Earth in the coming 20th Century.

I actually find the use of yellow eye shadow most interesting in this cosplay. Quite a rival for Usagi’s cosplay, don’t you think?

The Guardian and Priest of Elysion, Helios has different roles in the Sailor Moon Anime and Manga series. The manga shows Helios to be a simple priest who can transport himself between worlds. A curse was placed on him by Nehellenia, forcing him to become part of his favorite horse, Pegasus. He is also portrayed as Chibiusa’s future prince.

In the anime, however, Helios willingly became Pegasus and lends his power to Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon to attack Lemures. He is also the Guardian of the Golden Crystal; unlike in the manga, where he guards Elysion and not the Golden Crystal directly.

So pretty. I miss watching Sailor Moon. Perhaps it’s about time I pick it up again…

One of the most powerful Sailor Senshi in the Sailor Moon universe, Sailor Saturn, or Tomoe Hotaru yields the Silence Glaive, a weapon that can destroy the universe.

In the manga, Hotaru is a very mysterious character because she is part cyborg. This was her father’s attempt to save her from the lab accident that killed her mother. In the anime, however, she is not cybernetic, but she is still unpopular among her classmates due to her seizures.

It’s perhaps one of the most difficult tasks to cosplay one of the Sailor Senshi. Their uniforms are quite revealing (to the delight of fanboys everywhere). This cosplayer really got Sailor Saturn’s image perfectly! Great job!

Remember what I said about this blog not being biased about Western Cosplay? Well, here’s proof to back that up.

This is probably one of the best Sailor Moon Cosplays I have ever come across. She’s just really pretty and she’s got the costume right (instead of the usual knock offs)! I love the way she did her hair, it’s really gorgeous.

Oh~ I’d also like to mention that Megamisan sent me Adella’s Gallery for some nice cosplay photos of Adella. We have the same taste in cosplay! ^_^

You don’t need expensive wigs to cosplay like a pro! This is a lovely picture of Neptune and Uranus (their human names escape me).

There have been a lot of controversy about these two. USA nearly banned Sailor Moon because these two were in a lesbian relationship. They changed the script (with the original author’s consent) so that they are cousins instead.

But, I think they are in such a situation that… Well, Sailor Uranus seemed to be a guy when he was still in Moon Kingdom (ruled by Sailor Moon’s mother). Proof of this is that there are short scenes showing Neptune and Uranus together, and Uranus was wearing a Prince’s clothing and he was obviously male. I believe Uranus and Neptune were engaged, but they never got to marry because of the war. Their rebirth resulted in a dilemma that Uranus was now a girl.

Kinda sad, don’t you think?

But really, I don’t know what the concept behind the artist’s story telling is… I just really like Sailor Moon when I was really young…
