The energetic younger brother of the infamous violinist, Hiiragi Keiichi, Hiiragi Jun tries his best to outdo his brother in every way, often failing in the process. He appears in the end of the first season arriving in from America and becomes Kuromi’s source of power in the second season, Kuru Kuru Shuffle!

I’m very impressed at the details with Jun’s hair this cosplayer was able to achieve! No doubt it took a lot of patience to get it to look just right. Good job!

Kakeru is Yumeno Uta’s childhood friend and classmate. He’s a typical boy who is not really all that good when it comes to socializing with girls. This is where My Melody’s friend, a little blue mouse named Flat, comes in to help him out. After all, he has a huge crush on Uta.

I really like the details on the costume here. It looks like the jacket was actually sewn with two different colored materials rather than painted on like most. Flat is really cute too! Good job!

It’s someone’s birthday today in Sanrio, and I know just the present to send her.

Kurumi Nui is actually Kuromi’s human form. It’s incredibly rare to find good cosplays of Kurumi/Kuromi, but this is my pick from the bunch. She even has Kuromi’s Notebook in the corner.

Happy birthday, Kuromi! I hope you’re not too mad at Hello Kitty anymore. At least there are a lot of people cosplaying you, right? You’re quite pretty as a human, no wonder Hiiragi Keiichi fell in love with you!

When I first heard about My Melody having an anime, I was skeptical. I mean… why would Sanrio create an anime series? And how good would it be?

You’d be pretty surprised at Onegai My melody’s Story line. It’s very… non-Sanrio like.

Here we have the main character of the series, Yumeno Uta. She is an energetic, cheerful girl who lead a normal life until a little bunny named Kuromi casts a spell on her, making her a victim to Kuromi’s Dark Magic (basically, her violin began playing on its own, off cue, during a performance!).

My Melody was able to save her using her own magic and they began to work together to keep Kuromi from succeeding in resurrecting the Spirit of Dark power. Uta also has the ability to power up the Melody Tact through her singing.

Cute cosplayer. I was able to find this thanks to Hiiragi Keiichi of Sanriotown! I have a few more pictures from the series I’d like to share, but I’ll post them some other time. I wouldn’t want to flood everyone with Onegai My Melody cosplays, even if we are in Sanriotown!
