The original chosen one to wield the Keyblade, Riku chooses a darkness over light when he and his friends were attacked in Destiny Islands. His decision places him in Hollow Bastion where Maleficent influences him to turn on Sora in order to help Kairi.

It’s kind of sad that he made the wrong choice, or else he would have been the protagonist of the series. I like Riku’s character design better than Sora’s. This is still a very nice cosplay though! Great work!

Riku is Sora’s and Kairi’s best friend who was tried and tested for his friendship when he became possessed by Xehanort’s Heartless. He was, however, able to overcome this darkness and became Sora’s silent ally.

He proved that he values his friendship with Sora when he used the remaining powers of darkness in his heart while capturing Roxas. He sacrificed himself, becoming a manifestation of Xehanort’s Heartless in order to complete Sora.

It actually took me a while to figure out who this character was since I’m not familiar with the game. Brilliant job with this cosplay though. I really like the hair!

One of the seven “Princesses of Heart”, Kairi is originally from Hollow Bastion who was sent to the Destiny Islands by Xehanort. Being that her heart is seperated from her body, Sora and Rikku decided to find a way to help her by locating her heart.

Sora’s close friend in the series, Kairi’s memories of Sora slowly return to her in the beginning of the second installment, Kingdom Hearts II. Rikku then gives her a keyblade in order to fight against Saïx’s summoned Heartless.

This cosplayer is Mei Wai, the cosplayer of the elves in Lineage II and Bleach’s Hinamori Momo. Impressive as always, don’t you agree?
