Now here is a cosplay that I never thought I’d see.

Freya is the first version of the new series of persocoms known as the “Chobit” series. Unlike any other persocom, has the ability to feel emotions, specifically, to love. She was made by Mihara Ichiru to become their “daughter”.

When Hibiya Chitose, Ichiru’s wife, noticed a change in Freya’s attitude, Chitose asked Ichiru to create a younger sister for her, and she was named “Elda“. Freya was happy for a while, but her true sadness was due to the fact that she had fallen in love… with her own “father”. She knew she could never be together with him, and this caused her so much sorrow that she ceased functioning.

Aside from the hair? This is a very impressive cosplay. Great job on this! I really like her ears..!

My third (or fourth?) Chi cosplayer, and this time, it’s Kipi!

Chi’s real name is actually “Elda” and she is among the Chobit series; a special type of persocom who can “fee” and “fall in love”. Her twin sister, Freya, fell in love with their creator (and father), resulting in her “death” (her heart became so painful that she could no longer move). Elda “took” Freya’s consciousness resulting in her having 2 different persocom personalities existing within her. Even though she had all her memories deleted, both personalities still remained; Freya who remembers everything and Elda who remembers nothing.

Aww… this is just too cute! Too bad we can’t see Chi’s face…

I am wondering why they’re in a girl’s room though. In the anime, Hideki and Chi live in an apartment, and it’s not a girl’s room, but rather, a guy’s room. Chi is, after all, Hideki’s persocom, and so she is the one living with Hideki.

And this picture makes it look like the exact opposite!

I’m not complaining though. It’s a really good picture, and I like it very much! Don’t you think it’s really cute they’re sharing one pajama?

One of my readers, who wishes to remain anonymous, contributed this cosplay of Chii. No, I don’t think that the contributor is the cosplayer because one, the contributor is a guy and two, the contributor found this off a website he can’t remember… This was just sitting in his hard drive apparently…

This Chi is probably as cute as the other Chi I featured… I really love her dress! That must have taken a long time to sew.

Great cosplay, great photography! And I really love the additional effects added to the photograph… It really does look like an official Chobits illustration!

Chi is probably one of the most cosplayed characters from an anime series, and yet there are very few people who can cosplay her accurately.

I suppose not everyone can pull off a cute and innocent looking face…

This cosplayer though… I like her very much, even though she has a silver wig on. One could probably argue that this is a manga version of Chi, right?

Chi is a persocom, or a personal computer who is an android. In the Chobits world, PCs and Laptops/Notebooks are in the shape of a human robot, and they can virtually follow you everywhere. An interesting note is that the persocoms are solar powered, getting their energy only from the sun.

This Chi is so cute… Makes me want to have Chobit ears too…

Remember what I said about kids cosplaying? It just gives you a warm fuzzy feeling, even if they don’t know how to pose well for the camera…

You can tell she’s having a hard time keeping her pose… Can’t blame her, I hard a hard time balancing on one foot when I was a kid too…

Wait… I’m still a “kid”… at heart? (I know it’s lame, but forgive me, I couldn’t resist because I’ve been hearing lame jokes all day…) ^^

Sumomo’s hair is suppose to pink (same with the character on the tambourine), but I wouldn’t dye kids’ hair would you? And letting them wear a wig is also hard for them, since wigs are quite hot… But nonetheless, I think this is a cute and impressive cosplay, don’t you?
