Saiunkoku Monogatari: Ko Shuurei

saiunkoku monogatari cosplay - ko / hong shuureiThe only daughter of the Ko Noble Family, Shurei saw first hand how war could devastate her homeland when she was still very young. This made her strive to become the first female government official, a feat that seemed impossible being that all government officials in her country are male. This did not stop her from taking the Imperial exams, finishing among the top ranks with To Eigetsu.

Such a beautiful cosplay of Shuurei. It must have taken hours to do her hair. Great work!

    what a beautiful cosplay…reminds me a little of fushigi yugi. I wonder where this photo was taken?

    I con only guess… But maybe somewhere in one of Japan’s many temples? :| They’re usually the ones who have a lot of red gates/windows/doors. And I think there’s someone in the background wearing a kimono too.
