Thanks to little_miss_chococat who emailed me about about this show called Ruby Gloom, in which there is a character called…
Misery.
Misery

Caught some clips of the show and although Misery appears to be all Doom and Gloom (ironically the family name of the titular character and her cat, haha), she is quite the funny character, inadvertently from the unfortunate incidents that happen to her.

So thank you once again little_miss_chococat for letting me know about this show and Misery. (=^.^=)

More info i found about Misery and other characters from the show:

and so, the ‘DVD committee’ held a DVD nite.
okay, i have to admit i went along for the food, haha!
pizza, pasta, potato wedges (the yummy spicy kind!!!)
spicy chicken drumlets and wings, garlic bread
and cake!
they sure know how to entice you! hehehe!

onto the movies…
after the overdose of silly comedies the last DVD nite, this edition had a list of fantasy-adventure theme titles.

Photobucket
The Golden Compass
Photobucket
The Chronicles of Naria: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe

and HP and the Goblet of Fire
i had a sneaking suspicion these titles were chosen so some of the participants of the night could oooh and ahhhh over Daniel Craig, James McAvoy and Robert Pattison
Photobucket
who is the lead actor in the upcoming Twilght movie based on the novel of the same title. Photobucket
The heads of the committee had been twittering about him and the books since the latest novel from the series was released a month or so ago, which left me lost in translation as i haven’t read the books and even knew anything about them before their non-stop buzz, haha!

Good night of food, drink and movies.
Now i need to live on bread and soup for the rest of the week to compensate for the excess carbs and calories from one single evening…BURP!

apparently a family in the neighbourhood’s gotten a young snow white labrador retriever. seen them out taking walks in the early evenings the past week or so. looks so friendly and full of energy and adorable. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i do have a soft spot for labrador retrievers, and beagles, and maltese, and….

found this photo of this cute/cheeky dog while blog-surfing…hehe

*Just remembered, the way the doggie’s ’grinning’, reminds me of Muttley from the Hanna Barbra cartoons!

kekekekeke!

Going through blogs and saw this entry with these clay figurines inspired from characters from the mmo i am currently playing.

Really well made and cute!
This is how she looks ingame Photobucket, although our version has yet to release her as a playable character.

This is what her pet bear looks like ingame, haha!

The other characters in the above photos are Catherine and Viki, who are among the characters i like to use.

Catherine Photobucket has a unique Marionette Stance where she summons multiple dolls to fight off the surronding mobs.

Viki Photobucket is also a summoner who can call for his pet St Bernard or even huge giant golems to come to his aid.

It was the character design, the baroque-ish era the game is set in, the landscape as well as the soundtrack that got me hooked to this game, even if i did take a number of hiatus from it.

I still enjoy playing this game, just probably will login lesser hours.
My main characters have reached a leveling plateau and it would take way too long to advance to the next stage, just not that hardcore to push on, lol.

Most of the new recruitable characters and skills require cash shop items, not that i am getting them anyway. I will still login now and then to chat with the remaining faction mates, if they are not afking, hehehe. A bunch of nice memories from playing this game…waiting

was asking why i have ‘ misery’ in my nick.
umm hehehe…

i guess it was the frame of mind i was in at the time when i was thinking of a nick.

maplestorymisery?
moneystressmisery?
mushroomsoupmisery?
moodysongmisery?
messystainmisery?

i’ll leave it a mystery and let you interpret that one yourself, kekeke.
time to think of a new nick to use ingame. HMMmmmmm….

*munching mooncakes*
been trying to figure out how to organise the blogroll but the links aren’t going where i would like them to be. i’ll figure it out sooner or later, hah!

Nice to see kids in the neighbourhood carrying lanterns over the weekend to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Did notice a few young adults lighting up paper lanterns amongst the parents and the young kids. Some of the younger kids were carrying those plastic battery-operated lanterns. I should have got myself a paper lantern myself to feel, umm, *cough cough* younger. (-.-)”
Reminiscing the lost years, ahahaha!

Ah, also forgot to mention about Japan Hour, a weekly one hour program which features some of their onsen s (hot spring baths) and of course the local cuisine!
This particular episode showed some of the more secluded onsens during the winter period!

(ooooooh….ahhhhhhhhh!)

one particular location even had snow monkeys, which was kinda amusing.

Just maybe one of these days i will get the chance to go travel to locations like that.

Almost time to visit ZzzzzLand.
Sent a few more shout-outs to my mates about Founders Beta, hope they will get the message in time to send the emails. Looking forward to meeting HKO new gamers as well as those who played the first beta.

Had an early Friday nite after catching up on my youtube subscriptions, and had a slow start to my Saturday.

So naturally i didn’t find out about Founders’ Beta till i logged onto my pc as i was leisurely having a lite brunch and scrolling through some of my fave websites.
Almost spitted out the green tea on the keyboard when i read the blog with all the exciting info. Sent my email and also messaged a few mates who had expressed interested in playing. Optimistically Hopeful i will get a slot into this beta!

Sunday morning, got up fairly early, around 7-ish. Found myself feeling even more sluggish than usual, if that is even possible. Ugh!
I was feeling almost as bad as i would if i had a hangover, which got me thinking when was the last time i even had a glass of red wine or a couple of vodka ribenas…
hmm definitely ages ago when everyone was back in town got together for a b-day celebration…vodka ribenas are okay, but not really my thing, ehehehe…

Had very lite meals and had adequate amounts of h2o to try ease away this malaise…

Thought i might feel a little better if i took a early evening slow walk but i decided otherwise as the skies were looking ominous and i didn’t want to get caught in the rain and get drenched like i did the previous week. And yes, the skies have opened and a steady fall of rain has begun as i am typing this.

Time for relaxing shower, hopefully the mild zesty bergamot scent will pep me up a little and i might write more after dinner, we’ll see….

i miss playing this game…so long ago since it was first released!

i like the artwork so much, and of course the designs for all the different job classes ^^

the figurines look so good…

while waiting for HKO, maybe i should get myself a psp along with the updated version of the title…
