Pomelo Salad (P240). Green Salad with Pomelo, Salted Eggs & Baguio Strawberry Vinaigrette

Greens, are you feeling great?  You look tired!   Do you want to freshen up before you are served to us?…

I liked the twist of the salted egg with the greens but I didn’t like the strawberry vinaigrette.  It was too sweet that it had a weird overall effect when combined eating the greens with the salted egg.  Hey, it’s just me!  HB and my friend, M liked it.

Cool as a Cucumber (P90). Fresh Lime, Fresh Cucumber, Mint Leaves.

AD said that this tasted COKE.

Romulo Cafe-20

Monggo Soup (P120) Served with Chicharon, Malunggay & Ampalaya Leaves.

The soup broth had the combination of the shrimp and pork flavor…The monggo soup was really a soup.  My first time ever to have masabaw na (too much liquid) monggo soup.   The soup had bits of tiny shrimps and pork strips.

Romulo Cafe-19

Smoked Bangus Pate with Pandesal Chips (P150). Topped with Hollandaise Sauce

Cringed at the sight of the butter color and flavor.  Yikes!  But the bottom part of the pate was full of the smoked bangus.  You have to get an order or two of the melba toast serving (P20) if you plan to finish this off.

Lola Virginia’s Chicken Relleno (1/2 Chicken) - (P550) Roasted Chicken Stuffed with Ground Pork, Raisins, Chorizo & Peas

I never got to try this.  We were full by the time I wanted to try this relleno.  Leftovers are still in the refrigerator and haven’t tried it. M, did you like this one?

Romulo Cafe-29

Tito Greg’s Kare Kare (P350)

The meat was inside this thigh…I discovered this when I ate this at home.  (Yes, we had so much leftovers!)  I kept on asking HB and M if there were any meat.  There was, a slice or two…and inside the 2 thighs we brought home.  I loved the sweet bagoong!

Romulo Cafe-27

Bagoong Rice (P120)

I liked the sweet bagoong taste on the rice but I find it bland.  Can you please add more bagoong on the rice?  AD got all the egg strips for himself.  He loves egg.

Here are the other rooms where you can reserve for a fee but is also consummable…
