A Different Good Friday

We joined the procession!  It was a different gimik indeed…with AD and JX!  I was very fortunate that they were very cooperative at that time of the walk because AD had a full stomach and was entertained by BEN10 (which he watched for the 1st time and me too!) while JX was able to have his afternoon nap.

And so we tread our way to the main street for the starting point. HB took photos of all (or almost all) of the saints.

Instead of walking the entire procession, we had our McDo stop-over for a photo op with Ronald.

We waited for San Pedro’s caroza to passby so we can join and blend in (to look like we’ve joined the entire march..but who are we kidding?).

In fairness, we still did a 15-20 minute walk to our host’s place ~ Hizon-Singian heritage house along Consunji Street before we have our dinner, still a no-meat feast.

San Fernando Procession-50

A very nice Victorian heritage house.  AD and JX had a fun time playing at the veranda while waiting.  JX loved going up and down the stairs while AD enjoyed running around the big area.  After a few minutes of getting into the car, I was surprised that AD fell asleep (He is our energizer bunny!).  It was also good because I knew he would be tired from our all-day out with the scorching heat.

And so, that was how we spent our Good Friday…
