1950’s PanDeSal

Another secret that I’ve been sharing to my friends is this BIG yummy, so soft (and worth it!) wheat treat!

Pandesal since 1950's-2-2
At P5.50 a piece, our minimum order is 10pieces everytime we go there. AD just loves the pandesal that I immediately surprised him with it when I saw PanDeAmerikana has expanded his branch near our place. Yep, he was very happy with the bread. Even JX is now a fan of this PANDESAL. I can eat this without anything in it. Absolutely wonderful! We’ve waited for 2 years to eat their pandesal once again.

Pandesal since 1950's-5
Ensaimada. Another fave of AD’s. Sprinkles! He loves eating anything sweet. He got it from me (where else?! who wouldn’t? after 3 years of nursing him…i’ll be surprised if he’d have an opposite reaction in every food I love). He particularly loves the sugar, sprinkles is what he calls them. First to be eaten while the bottom would be shoved into my mouth (or HB’s mouth, whoever’s empty) and then he gets another one. It’s P10 per piece…made me think that the margarine and sugar is worth P5…kinda steep for something that is similar with the wheat pandesal BUT overall, P10 a piece is cheap already because you’ll definitely be full once you reach your last bite.

So, are you hungry to troop down to the nearest 1950’s Pan De Amerikana store? If you have the chance to go to their Marikina branch, I guarantee you that you’ll be surprised to find such place in that area. Check out HB’s post on this…actually more photos of the food we devoured…Best Pandesal Since 1950’s by Pan de Amerikana

My bf gave me a bag full of these. I was a bit skeptical, like, what’s the big deal with this pandesal??? Now I know. It’s still soft even if its cold and tastes so good.
