Croquettes - Cochinillo Lechon (P220).

This was good! We all thought it would be filled with mashed potatoes! We thought wrong. Anton San Diego informed us that it was bechamel sauce. Correct me if I am wrong, bechamel sauce is the alternate sauce of the tomato sauce in lasagna that is made of milk, butter and flour. I liked the tiny slice of the pig’s skin. Crunchy! Rrrr!

Surprised with the price! If only I’ve known…

Paella Tulipan (P800-small). Saffron-flavored rice with squid, shrimp, ausage, chicken and pork. Allow 30 minutes of cooking time. It also comes in a large size (P1,800), which is good for 18 people.
For the small serving, I would say it would still be good for 4-6 people, depending on one’s appetite. We were 3 and we had at least 3 servings of the paella. I felt it lacked the taste of the saffron although it was nicely cooked ~ al dente. The paella was kinda bland for me that I wanted to add some flavourings to it but just satisfied myself with eating it with the squid, shrimp, chicken and sausage.

Quezo de bola Cheesecake (P450). Crushed graham crackers and quezo de bola cheese, topped with muscovado chantilly.
Cheesecake was ok, tasted a hint of the queso de bola but it was not worth the price. Adding the muscovado to your cheesecake was a nice idea because it created a texture to it. It somehow shifted the creamy taste to a more textured one and altered the taste of what the cheesecake should taste.

I felt I was in a haunted house…really…but once settled and not minding some of the interiors/ fixtures, Establishment is a nice place to chill with friends until the wee hours. You wouldn’t feel so old because there were older people there. hehehe It would also be fun hanging out with your girlfriends and catch up the latest buzz. M, this is where we were supposed to meet but you weren’t free!

Just look at the exterior…makes you wonder what is it inside that people would like to check it out!
