To be honest with you, I was not excited to eat at Choi Garden. Some of you may know why…it is because I’m used to eat at Chinese restaurant because of the parties (weddings and birthdays) we attend to, ever since I was teeny weeny. No matter how you market a Chinese resto to me, the food and taste usually taste the same. Do not get me wrong. I like eating Chinese food (I tell you, I eat chinese food on a regular basis.) but it is not something I would choose to go to. That’s why it took us only this time to eat here.

Do you like their interior?

Actually, I was a bit surprised seeing such nice Chinese restaurant nowadays. I was quite impressed. Dark background then boom with the lighting especially as you go up to the Fine Dining area! There are several rooms which you can reserve. This one is pretty nice, don’t you think? Actually, this is the only room which has this view because this is also the facade from the outside that you can see upon entering the restaurant.

I don’t know why I liked the interiors since I practically grew up eating at Chinese restaurants and should have been used to these kind of chandeliers, maybe because Choi Garden has low ceilings which I am not used to.

My SIL was sharing with me her healthy alternative to your usual juice. Curious I was, I bought a kilo of santol which at the time I bought 1 kilo, it was still P10 ($0.25). I was excited because I know AD would be happy that we’d be having a juice! We drink water most of the time or make juice out of tanglad (lemongrass), honey (brown sugar or muscovado) and calamansi or anything that is made from scratch. We do drink those powdered juice but we avoid it as much as we can.

Spicy Fingers at Greenbelt 2.

Spicy Fingers Chicken Coconut Curry at P360. Actually, we were curious of this so we ordered it. At the same time, confused why there was a curry dish here. Anyway, this is just okay for me. The coconut curry was tasty but I kinda expected more since this was under their Special menu. Chicken used here were chicken breast so it would be sort of healthy but then, cooked in coconut…hmmm….cholesterol (I’m not sure of this is a good or bad cholesterol.)
