Grade 8 - Wagyu Beef
To go in or not to go in….
When HB knew about this place, he didn’t waste anymore time in convincing me to dine here but I had second thoughts….
We were surprised to be served with a soup because we didn’t order one. Free soup with an order of wagyu steak. Cream of spinach…was their soup for the day. It was okay. At least, we had something warm in our tummy before we had our salad.
Caesar Salad (P225). Also, split into half. It was the plain old Caesar’s salad!
First, here’s what they wrote about the ever so popular wagyu beef on their menu.
“Wagyu beef is considered to be the very finest in the world. Historically, an exclusive dish for Japanese emperors, it is the most tender and succelent beef. There are all kinds of stories about these imperial cattle being massaged, fed on beer and then sold at gastronomical prices. These are not folkloric. Extra ordinary care and attention have been devoted to the rearing of this unusual breed of cattle focusing of quality instead of quantity. The result is the “caviar of the beef.””
And presenting the wagyu beef…Beef 101
The servers were very proud as they walked to our table and discuss the different kinds of beef on their menu….
Wagyu Rib Eye (P2850). The meat was sliced easily. Meat was smooth. Meat was tender. Meat was very tasty. Enjoyed it immensely that all we could do was slice and pop my steak into our mouths and nod our heads with approval. Hmmm, can’t wait for our next date so I can have my own plate of a higher grade of wagyu steak but I know it would take a while before we get to visit this place again (you know because of the special price but then we can order the lower priced steaks there)! The 8oz rib eye was enough for us to share because I had my snack late in the afternoon and was kind of full. Phew! That saved us P2850!
