When you hear the word, MIELE, what comes into your mind?  With me, I thought it had something to do with the Miele Guide but I was wrong!

MIELE is a German brand that manufactures premium and innovative domestic appliances such as washers, dryers, Built-In Ovens, Cooktops, Dishwashers, Rotary Irons, Vacuums, Coffee Machines, Refrigerators and Wine Cellars.  I was not familiar with this brand but now I know that this would be added to my dream list of household appliance.

When our friend, Katrina, enumerated her food finds among the stalls in Salcedo Market, I remembered the Curry Ice Cream by Symphony Sweets.  That’s why we bought one plastic tub for us to share, we were curious because its flavor was quite unusual.

Hmmm,  one scoop, another scoop….Hmmm, I was trying to catch the curry flavor but there was only a faint flavor.

We didn’t finish it off in one sitting so we had to take it home with us.   The next day as I was alone, I got the plastic tub from the freezer.  Alas, a thin layer of the curry ice cream was left for me to finish.  This is where I got to taste the curry.  Do not expect it to taste like the curry in your chicken because this is milder.  It was nice to have tried this one.  HB loved this ice cream with the suman we also got from Salcedo Market.  One round tub cost P160.  Next time, we’d try the Zabaglione and what intrigued me.  I wish they’d have a smaller serving because those ice cream leaves a mark on my hips!  *Ouch*

We have just had their vanilla frozen yoghurt at Salcedo Market and now, they’re available at Arama, Serendra too! That was fast! At least, you don’t have to wait till Saturday to have your fill of Froyo at Salcedo Market (SM).

I liked their vanilla flavored froyo because of its tangy sour taste that is closest to your yoghurt. The dutch chocolate was too strong for Aidan (I decided for him when he was with us at SM) but this is best paired with the vanilla flavored froyo. We have yet to try the other flavors (like MudSlide) that were not available. What got me confused was this froyo’s texture, so which is the REAL froyo? Was it because the White Hat, Yogurbud and I Love Berries have the machine to create something as smooth and creamy while this one was the opposite? Can you share what you know? I was told that some used powder but how do we know?

Pure Frozen Yoghurt - no refined sugar, nothing artificial and made with 100% fresh yoghurt.

Flavors are: Dutch Chocolate (Dark, oh so Dark Chocolate!), Mango Blast (Made with fresh mangoes), MudSlide (Coffee & Chocolate with Fudge & Walnuts), Coffee Strawberry, Coffee and Vanilla.

Another froyo joins the bandwagon…

I liked this froyo treat!  Especially the homemade granola, which was different from what I’m used to (I’m used to granola bars so it was kinda different in texture)…and the fresh fruits…take note, fresh, not frozen but FRESH! :D  And I do hope it stays that way…everything is fresh and new stock of granola and cereals.

Here’s MarketManila’s homemade granola recipe, I wasn’t aware that it was such an easy thing to make from scratch!

This froyo is creamy (look how it melts right before your eyes) and has definitely the tangy sour taste of a yoghurt!  We were fortunate to only share this LARGE cup for two.  Yes, no toddler tagging along.  Just the two of us.  A word of advice, it is never enough to share it would someone, even your boyfriend/ girlfriend!  But for the sake having fun on who to get the last spoon, I’ll go for just one order of LARGE cup!  Just buy another serving of this froyo treat when you still can’t get enough of it…with another set of toppings!  They even had cheesecake slices as topping (and bluberry too! I’m not sure if this was fresh or from can..just saw it being served to a customer).  Don’t forget to check your budget though because a LARGE cup cost P115 and P20 for a topping.  But to those who are used to spending similar amounts on cakes, pastries, and coffee, this is one healthier alternative to try.  Be careful, you might get addicted to it and you find yourself making an excuse to go to Mall of Asia.

 Would you believe that season SALE is not yet over?  I thought it is about to end this July but Robinson’s Department Store is just starting to do their clearance sale this 1-31 August 2008.
