What We Did Last Summer — The Corregidor Trip
ang mamatay ng dahil sa iyo (die for your sake)…

We rode this cruise ship to Corregidor. It was like riding in an airplane on the sea with the seats assigned to this and that person. It was cold inside as if it was not a sunny day outside. I wouldn’t want to go out of the ship anymore!

Having fun is what Jesus did (That’s his name alright!)! He just went up with his cowboy hat and wooohheee!!!! He also cleaned the shaft while he went up and down. He really enjoyed himself up there.

It was scorching hot out there while we were having our Celdran tour…so there was an excuse to drink a can or two or three of beers (which were on sale)…but not for me! (Trying to stay clean eh?) We rode on the Tramvia for the entire tour but we still put sunblock on AD for sun protection. You can just stay at the Tramvia but that wouldn’t be fun! And we need those exercise, stretch 1-2-3.

AD trying to carry this ENORMOUS blood stone when we passedby the beach. When you pour water on it, it looks like it was blood on the stone. We found these stones almost everywhere — beach and among the statues. This beach had black fine sands.

Ghost hunting!!! Yehey! I had an excuse not to be with this group that night. I had to be with AD. My HB had fun…nothing to be scared of…but your own shadow! And yeah, those couple were really sweet!

Pag laki ko, gagayahin ko ang kuya ko! (”When I grow up, I’ll follow my brother’s footsteps!”)
We were trying to see if AD would go into the Malinta Tunnel but he saw it coming. He didn’t want dark places with loud noises. Yep, no movies for him either. This was HB’s nth time here so he and AD went to meet me at the other end of the tunnel. Too bad, AD didn’t get to listen to the great informative story of how Corregidor fell and got back their liberation inside the Malinta Tunnel. Entrance fee to the Malinta Tunnel Lights & Sounds is P150/ person. I think this would be a nice high school field trip, don’t you think?
This structure is soooo amazing! At a specific date (w/c thanks to my memory that I forgot what date) and time, there would be a light that would pass through the hole at the top and will hit the slab down there and lit the entire area! Cool! Whoever thought if it was a genius! Imagine, every year of that month and day and time, the place would just lit up!

Did he had a drink of wine or what?! This was during our sunset cocktails…We had a blast. Carlos informed us that we can bring anything for the cocktails or a dessert. We brought a Mary Grace’s Chocolate Cake.
Wala lang…Carlos just loves to pose and so, *click* *click* *click*. And he is soo funny! Nice tour, Carlos!

We caught sight of this thing when we were about to go up the Lighthouse. Would you guess it?…It’s a casuy! So that’s the casuy! Do you remember the Filipino riddle about it?

We were at the functioning Corregidor airport. AD toying with the binoculars.

These coins are being sold for more than P1000 ($24) by the workers who found it while cleaning up the place. Everyday until now, they still find treasures. When you look closely, one side of the coin is US marked while the other side is Philipines marked coin! What a collector’s item!

We had a blast! Photo taken by HB. This was our bonfire as we had our dinner. It was a windy night near the beach. Kinda scary if you stare out at the dark with your imagination playing inside you but pretty romantic when you’re with your lovey like Didi who was there because she won an overnight package from Carlos. Didi’s Panget always loves to tease Didi and I find them to be a cute pair!

AD and I stayed at our room when the group had their ghost hunting, so to speak. I was kinda apprehensive on what AD’s reaction of the place, let alone sleeping there. What do I do if he didn’t want to sleep there? I know he would insist on going home if he didn’t like the place. And so, as we went to the room upon check-in. He broke free and removed his pants and he went jumping up and down. Alas! We’re safe! He liked the room! And so, he didn’t feel anything queer as the notion of staying overnight has over my head. It was good then! After a jumping up and down the bed, we closed the lights and slept like a log while his Poppa was out having fun with the group.

This is where we went up to the Barracks…
…and down. Old headquaters of the Americans.

This is what we see down under…It was cold inside. Wished it was cool outside too! I closed whatever imagination I had of dark places such as these knowing that it has a history of $%^& because AD might feel it. I admire AD who is usually apprehensive to go in the dark, went into one of the caves. He was pretty excited to hold a BIG flashlight that’s why.

This is where we got off! AD was waiting for me!

I told them to spare me so I can live to tell what we did last summer! Phew! What an adventure! I wish AD would remember this trip so we don’t need to go back hahaha Kidding! We need to go back for JX. I’m pretty sure AD would be the one to explain the events to JX.

Corregidor is super nice! I’ve been there once when I was like 7, but I’ve always thought of coming back!
