Dessert Haven

MS. RACHE: DIAMOND HOTEL: CAKE CLUB & DESSERT

I was surprised to see The Cake Club by Diamond Hotel at Rockwell Power Plant Mall when we passedby the area months ago. Strategically located in the middle of restaurants/ stores such as: C2, CPK, SumoSam, National Bookstore and the Archeology Section where after shopping and eating, you’ll find your haven in the middle. Very hard to resist expecially when they are there to entice you to sit, relax and do nothing but eat their treats. By the way, they have Wifi access so that’s another treat for you! Stay for as long as you like!

Oh, before I forget, here are their dessert line ups that I’d like to share with you so you can choose what cake you’d like to bring on your next potluck sessions:

Le Royale - Dark Valrhona chocolate mousse with almond meringue and hazelnut crispy

SuperMoist - Diamond’s signature moist chocolate cake made more delicious with layers of rich ganache

Baked Cheesecake - Diamond’s classic rich cream cheese cake

Gateau Chocolat - Flourless Valrhona chocolate sponge cake layered with rich and creamy chocolate ganache

Apple Cheesecake - Light cheesecake with caramelized apples

Mont Blanc - French chestnut paste with dark rum on almond tart

Coconut Cream Pie - Diamond’s version of the favorite “buko pie”

Baked Apricot Tart - ALmond tart filling with rum-flavored almond cream topped with sweet apricot

Green Tea Creme Brulee - Traditional French dessert best known for its caramelized sugar topping made extra special with Japanese green tea flavor

French Macarons - Delicate French biscuits available in chocolate, rose , pistachio, salty caramel, vanilla and lemon flavors

Assorted Mini Fruit tartlets

Mint Chocolate CHip Cookies

Cream Puff - Delectable French cream with caramel topping

Mini Ensaymada - The legendary Diamond ensaymadawith the ube filling

Mini Caramel Tart - A delicious tart topped with walnuts, honey and Valrhona milk chocolate

Mini Lemon Tart - Sumptuous tart filled with tangy lemon cream topped with fresh lemons

Green Tea Panna cotta (sugar-free) - A delightful combination of the classic Italian panacotta infused with Japanese green tea

Aloe Vera Jelly (sugar-free) - a guilt-free and healthy dessert made from Japanese aloe vera juice

One of desserts I liked were the Macarons. We would usually buy them at Bizu where we first tasted it. While I was pregnant with JX, I would crave for it and asked HB to buy me. However, next time, I’ll be more specific with my instructions because HB bought me more than I’ve asked for. I know I should be thankful for having a thoughtful husband. But I was thinking of just having around 10 pcs but got more than that. I forgot how many but I do remember that it cost so much for such treat that I would be able to buy a good tasting cake for that price. Anyway, when I saw the Macarons in one of the buffet table, I knew I’d have those. :) Such haven to be in that buffet booth…diet would be remembered once you hit home and not while you’re cruising around.

Top to Bottom: SuperMoist (or Gateau Chocolat), Assorted Mini Fruit Tartlets, Cream Puffs and Mini Ensaymada with Ube Filling

My favorites were Le Royale, Baked Cheescake, Gateau Chocolat (or was it the SuperMoist?) and the French Macarons! It was sugar overload for me (and for my other friends too!) because I was trying to taste everything at the dessert bar, not to mention having seconds of my favorites! I had to drink tons of water so I’ll feel “full” and stop eating the delectable treats Diamond Hotel created for us but that didn’t stop me either. Someone was too smart for me! hahaha

What are you waiting for? Stop staring at the macarons! Plan your event so you can incorporate the dessert buffet of Diamond Hotel. Let your guests feast on the wide range of desserts — all 18 of them! Diamond Hotel offer five different buffet packages but if it is not what you are looking for, they are flexible enough to cater to your needs.
