Comfort Food @ Balai Isabel
I was already hungry by the time we got to Balai Isabel. And this was what greeted me…Food served is by Makati Skyline. What?! They are also here?! in Cavite? Oh well, they were our caterer in our Tagaytay wedding so I guess, I shouldn’t be that surprised. Okay, okay. I have no choice but to concede.
Food choices were no different from the usual “lutong bahay” restaurant but I have no complains. All dishes that we ordered were wiped out. We were all hungry.
Bulalo soup (P330). I can still remember the bulalo! There were no takers except for me and IvanM. Took it before the soup got cold. Soup was good for 3 persons but we were 6.5 and it was just right for us.

Crispy Tawilis (P157). It’s okay to eat the whole thing. Crunchy tail!

Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa (P145). Veggies. A must in our every meal. Kalabasa was kinda hard. Cooked Al dente. hahaha Maybe there got confused, thinking it was a pasta.

Fried Chicken (P240). I love the way they cooked this. Fried chicken! They fried it the way Max’s does their fried chicken. Okay, okay, almost close to Max’s. I know, I know, too much fried dishes. What can I do? We were with other friends and the dishes were what we agreed to order.

At the end, the waiter had an easy time cleaning up our table. No doggy bags, nothing left for the beggars. Just the cleaned chicken bones and bulalo.

I like the soup dish in the first picture. It looks real healthy with all the vegetables, and it makes me real hungry.
