Hello Kitty Camera

Hello Kitty Camera

I’ve been wanting to post something to do with Hello Kitty or any Sanrio stuff but all I can produce is this one…a Hello Kitty camera! I saw this from my mom’s things to be sent out to my niece but I just had to borrow it first for this post. Bad, bad Aunt huh…Sorry, niece. I just had to use this. I will return this when we see each other next Sunday.

That’s one thing I miss…having girly stuff within my reach. All I have now is for the boys. Toys for the boys. I may not into girly, girly stuff but I pretty much remember that we have lotsa things that are Sanrio related because of my mom and grandmother.  They love to buy those for us (my older sister and I) especially when they go out of the Philippines. I also remember that I have a photo taken with Kiki when I was in my pigtail years.  I’ll just have to look for it and maybe share with you if I look presentable.

Anyway, back to the Hello Kitty camera. My mom got it from McDonald’s (so, that’s why it looked familiar huh!). While playing with it, I tried clicking the stick button up there (thinking, wow! I can click it!) and looking at the viewfinder, I knew it! It was too good to be true! The Hello Kitty was the one and only photo there.  It was not moving! Bummer! I was excited pa naman. To add, it was a manual camera with a rewind function!

Now, I would really return this to my niece! :)

Garaje

Do you remember this grilled liempo…or Garaje-7

Garaje-3…the guy in white tee at the rightmost of this photo?

If you do not remember either of them, most probably, you are not from DLSU or not the Garaje crowd. I would think that most of the DLSU students know Garaje and have eaten there once or twice or maybe every lunch break.

Cerealicious - Are you Delicious?

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

I was still pregnant when we tried Cerealicious along Taft Ave. I was craving for something cool and different from what we have been frequently eating and we thought of this place which we have been hearing about. I knew instantly it was like Ice Monster because of their name, Cerealicious. Cerealicious uses cereals as their main ingredients.

Cerealicious-9 Cerealicious-7 Cerealicious-10

Jumango, The Gummi Returns and Cashewblanca (P43 for trailer bowl and P85 for blockbuster bowl). Cereals + Milkshake + Toppings + Ice cream (for the blockbuster bowl only).

One of their bestseller - Jumango. As expected. Usually, almost anything with mangoes are a sure hit! We ordered The Gummi Returns because AD loves gummi bears so this is a treat for him! The gummi bears were the first one to be gone. I love to eat cashew so we got Cashewblanca. I can’t really recall what cereals they mixed in our orders but based on the photos, Jumango had honey crumble+corn flakes, The Gummi Returns had mini mallows + honey stars and cashewblanca had brownie bits + coco crunch. At first, I thought the milk tasted different and wondered what it was. It is only now that I knew it was a milkshake not your usual milk.

There’s so many varieties to choose from (chocolates to biscuits/ cookies) that you’d want to visit Cerealicious on a regular basis to try all combinations especially when you are studying at DLSU or UST. Now that SUMMER is here, you’ll have another excuse to try all their cereal blockbusters! Whoppeee! An alternative to our usual halo halo fare! Another treat to try is their smoochies…we did and AD loved the Berry Mango. Kinda heavy on the tummy (stays on your thigh! hahaha) though. Next visit, we’d like to try the cereal splits! One order for the 3 of us! Budget treat so we can have more food trip.

Cerealicious

Look at those posters on the wall, they’ve patterned their cereal blockbusters from the actual movies. That’s why their cereal blockbuster names sound familiar huh! Nice thinking guys!

Visit to St. Therese of Lisieux relics

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

I have been planning to visit St. Therese relics ever since I’ve heard that they’re in the Philippines last February.  It was only last Wednesday where we got to visit it at the St. Therese Shrine and Columbarium at Villamor Air Base.  Last day was Friday and the relics would be on their way to their next destination.

Anyway,  I got this prayer pamphlet which they gave out and I would like to share the prayer to you, hoping you would also get your wish to come true.  Because mine did!

Here’s the prayer:

O glorious St Therese, whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and counsel mankind, I implore your Miraculous Intercession.  So powerful are you in obtaining every need of body and soul our Holy Mother Church proclaims you a “Prodigy of Miracles..the Greatest saint of Modern Times.”  Now, I fervently beseech you to answer my petition (mention here) and to carry out your promises of spending Heaven doing good on Earth…of letting fall from Heaven a shower of roses.  Henceforth, dear little Flower, I will fulfill your plea “to be made known everywhere” and I will never cease to lead others to Jesus through you.

Amen.

St. Therese is the Catholic Church’s Patroness of Missionaries and the Missions, Protector of AIDS and Tuberculosis Patients, Guardian of those who follow her “Little Way.”

I Love Ilog Maria!

Friday, March 14th, 2008

Alas!  I was able to go here!  After hearing so much about Ilog Maria and their products, I can’t wait to go there.

The first thing you’d see would be the STORE.  It was not your usual fancy store that will attract people to come over.  It was a simply a store.  A store where you browse and see what they have to offer.  Straightforward selling, no saleslady to bug you to try this and that.  Buy what you need and be on your way to your next destination.  No fuss shopping.

Ilog Maria-5

Their products speak for itself.  It is just soo addicting to go here, I just got one bottle then another and another.  Their products are mostly below P100 apiece so you’d be very tempted to buy almost everything they have.  If you think about it, the prices are not cheap but it is the quality you’d be getting and rest assured that they are giving you the best.

Did you know that they rarely give interviews?  They prefer to just devote their very limited time and resources to expand their operation to be able to continue to supply customers.  Their website has been designed to answer all pertinent questions about Ilog Maria Honeybee Farms.

Here’s what I bought:
