It’s the CosmoBread!

Peppermint Bars

I love it!  This is one of the flavors that I usually choose over (aside from chocolate, something different, something eye catching and everything!)  when it is available, whether it be an ice cream, chocolate or a candy.

Once you bite into it, you’d immediately get the taste of its pepperminty flavor.  We just kept on chomping  and chomping until suddenly, there’s only a few bars left!  And it was already late for AD to eat it…Oh no!  Definitely, we were doomed and so we did!  On usual nights, AD would sleep early because he doesn’t (don’t want! :() take his afternoon nap anymore.  But since we were such excited and hungry desserts parents (in short, takam! hahaha), we forgot that it would make AD hyper that evening.  True enough, we prepared him to sleep by 9pm.  Guess what time he slept?  Past 11pm, his P was the one to sleep first.  Lesson?  Be patient parents!

Cosmo Bread

Do not be deceived by this look! Unappealing huh…that’s what I thought but curious I was, I decided to grab my piece.

Indeed, this is a unique kind of bread. A bread bun on top of a chocolate chip cookie. AD loved this! He already ate his share which is one whole cosmo bread for snack while he and his P were out. Upon returning home, he saw that there was one more left and he was asking for it but his P explained to him that it was already my share. They had eaten their share already. So, that kept him silent. After dinner, when I was about to eat it, he quickly rushed to my side and said, “Pahingi, 1 lang ha, Ma. (Can I have some more? 1 bite only, please.) Share lang ha.” (Of course, I have to share because that is what we are teaching him, to share things and food to other people. Sometimes, it doesn’t work but most often, he do share. And we were glad that he remembers to do so.)

Back to the taste. The cookie didn’t have its usual crunch touch but it was more of a moist cookie because of the bread that was attached with it. I don’t know the chemistry behind it but somehow, the bread absorbs some of the cookie’s crunchiness. Try keeping a bread and a biscuit together in a container and you’ll discover that the biscuit will turn soft. I liked it and wished I’d had one more bun of it but it was also good that it was all gone. Calories, calories! Enough!

Chocolate Toffee Cake.

We were supposed to have a slice of this that evening but AD didn’t permit us to eat it. I don’t know why but all he said was, “AD cake. Later nal (na lang) eat.” I wanted to eat it before we place it in the refrigerator but that hope was gone. Our son didn’t allow us to eat it (period).

The cake was not so ooohh, aaahhh! But I would still love having a slice of this chocolate cake anytime simply because I love chocolate!

the cosmobread reminds me of yakitate japan. the main character’s melon bread consisted of a cookie dough base with a melon spread topped by a bread bun.
