Piccolo My Mondo
Typical of my HubbyBubbly to have a list to go to whenever we go out. This time, we tried the Italian place along Aguinaldo Highway named Piccolo Mondo. This has been operational for several months already but it is only now that we will be trying it out. I think we have exhausted the good restos in Tagaytay and we’re double checking what we have tried and what we haven’t.
No people except us and the servers. We were fine with that. Actually, I prefer to avoid the crowded place especially when JX with us.
On the house! Bread sticks! Love it especially with the balsamic vinegar, olive oil and parmesan cheese. Another glass please.
Zuppra di Spinachi (P120). Too watery but we finished it off. If they didn’t put too much liquid in it, it would’ve taste better!
Pizza al Quattro Formaggi and Pizza Margherita (price of the higher value pizza, P385). Another winner! This pizza is different from Camalig’s and C’ Italian Dining. I loved Piccolo’s pizza crust as I loved Camalig’s and C’s! How to describe it? The thickness of the crust would be in between of Camalig’s and C’s pizza. It is chewy and yummy. I don’t feel fat after eating several slices of it. Not too oily. Would love to order another pizza please! They accept 2 pizza flavors for one pizza order. The rose was given to me by Piccolo Mondo staff…a post valentine flower.
Seafood Pasta. This one of their bestseller pasta but for me, it got a weird taste because of the shrimp not being fresh. It was (again!) too watery.
Verdict: Would like to be back for the PIZZA and try other pasta dishes.
Suggestion: Turn ON all the lights to attract more customers passing the highway. When we went in the restaurant, the place was gloomy.

from what i’ve been reading, you frequently visit angeles city, right?…have you tried salvatore’s in fields ave.? or bretto’s? they are along the road where C’s and zapata’s are located. how about rumpa’s? it’s like VFW before but with filipino owners now. by the way, your husband and i share the same interests…food, family and adventure!more blogging power to you both!

Another well done post. You did a very nice review of the place. Their pizza sure look quite delicious and I agree with you, the Seafood pasta does look a bit watery (judging from the photo). Anyways, Thank you again for posting this. I hope you would feature more reviews in the future.

Hi! Just went to Tagaytay last weekend. Just to let you know that they renamed Picollo Mondo to Katrina’s.
Bon Apettit!
