The New Chefs’ Quarter
When I chanced upon this Inquirer’s online article, Fine Dining On A Budget, I became excited! This, we gotta try! Also, this time, I know my hubbybubbly didn’t know about this new resto which opened more than two months ago or else, he would’ve whipped some agenda just to go to Robinson’s Manila. Added excitement was that Chefs’ Quarter is owned by the partners who’s behind Duo in Serendra which we also visited when it was newly opened.
Pardon me but I think I’ll forego any introduction since it’s already discussed in this article.
And so, the troop went to visit the new Chefs’ Quarter…I had a hard time choosing what to eat. Would I want fish, chicken, lamb, pork or beef? I know I didn’t want any fish or chicken because I had enough of that for my 40 post natal days. So, it would be either lamb, pork or beef…as I looked into the menu, I was leaning more on the beef…so beef it was! I wanted the Uncle Cheffy Steak but it was good for 3-4 people. Hubbybubbly didn’t want to just order one entree’ so I had to look for another alternative. Chefs’ Quarter steak looks good…don’t you think so?

Actually, I liked the meat as it was tender and not hard to chew, flavorful. The garlic-parsley butter definitely gave it another level up so it was not really hard to like it. Okay, I am usually particular in eating food swimming in butter but at this point in time, I was not really conscious of my figure as you know, I just gave birth a month ago. So, dig in! Oh, by the way, I think the P395+ was already okay.

Pan-Fried Gravad Lachs (P280+) Definitely best buy! This was my hubbybubbly’s order from the breakfast menu. We loved the salmon while Aidan loved the eggs! This came with a hash brown potato and coffee but we opted for the hot chocolate.

The much-raved about salad, Tessie Tomas Salad “Old Time Favorite” but He didn’t think so. I didn’t taste this one. This is priced at P295+.

Hot Chocolate for P100 made from the finest Belgian chocolate. Instead of having the coffee or tea (which were the only choice included in the breakfast set menu), we opted to go for the hot chocolate but we had to pay the price difference of P60. Super worth it! The chocolate was very rich and I can take this every morning minus the calories! =D This time, we just had to share so we also had to share the calories. Good strategy!
Btw, the resto location is outside the mall so you have to go out of the Midtown Wing of the mall and walk a little bit. It is beside Paseo De Bahamas.
