and if you don’t believe me, all you have to do is watch this video of Andrew Rieu and the Strauss Orchestra playing Shosta’s Jazz Waltz nr. 2, not only does it fill up a stadium, there is wide spread chanting like in a stadium, cheering, clapping and encouragement closer to a football match than even a rock or pop concert.
I’ve never seen anything like it…crazy stuff for those who thought of classical music for just the select few, think again!

So I was never a big fan of Vanessa Mae but she is still a popular iconic artist in classical music, controversial as she may be (as you can see in her interpretation of Tartini’s Devil’s Trill) but what she does do is open it to an entirely new generation of people who may never even listen to Classical music, afterall, she’s hot, beautiful, popular and plays a mean Violin.
