Blog Update

August 28th, 2011 by

Hello All…I have started blogging elsewhere. Please check out my new blog here ;)  BlingnGadgets

For Sanriotown related blogs  : eg HKO, Events, Entries etc, I will be over at my HKOSEA blog.

SO  I guess in a nutshell I am kind of abandoning this blog :’(  Which is sad because I did spend lots of time and have lots of fun writing random blogs, stories, creating bluttons (blog buttons) for friends and do all sorts of blog related things here. And many of my favourite gaming moments of all time are captured on this blog especially ‘back in the day’ of the old HKO Betas.

thank you for reading so far… Catch me on my other blogs k ^.^

An appeal for help

February 25th, 2011 by

This is a duplicate on a post on my other ST blog :) Most of you will know that anyway.

I guess it’s probably all over the news now about the EQ in NZ recently.

It’s always been one of the things that you think will never happen to you. But it can. And the devastation is truly unimaginable.

I am fine, and I am so, so grateful my entire family is fine. Even my cat is fine, bless his little black paws. The only thing that caved in was the garage wall, which partially crushed my sister’s car, but I can truly only say that we have been so, so blessed.

I don’t know anyone who is a victim personally. But I know a friend who’s sister is in the collapsed CTV building. And a friend who’s mum is in there too. I cannot begin to understand their pain.

Hundreds, thousands of people are displaced, living in shelters.

Half the city is without water.

SO here comes my first appeal. My family is personally fine but there are many, many others who aren’t.

Please spare a donation to the red cross via this site.

Every tiny bit helps.

My second appeal is for everyone to put together a survival kit to keep at home. Just some simple supplies of water, some food, a first aid kit, a torch and a blanket. You never know when you may need it.

And here’s my third appeal. Tell your beloved family and friends that you love them today! :)  I mean RIGHT NOW. Hunt them down and give them a mega hug.

New Digs…

November 19th, 2010 by

I’m trying to keep a simple, clean concept throughout…

(maybe the alibi for not spending lots of $$ on furniture :D )

This room will change though as I have bought cushions for the recliners and will buy something nicer to replace that tiny bookcase in the far corner..

I realised the TV is far too small for the room ;_; so I need to shell out for a new TV eventually but I need more mooolah so that can wait I guess :D  who watches telly nowadays anyway.

I always amaze people whenever I travel by  :

 1. The amount of stuff I bring regardless of how many days I am away…  (another debate for another day)

 2. The speed at which I set up my gadgets

Within a few minutes, I have all my chargers plugged in and my laptop up and running, cooling pad and Hello Kitty keyboard included xP

YanYan Tsukebo on the side … <3

Take heart.. it’s a gift and based on lots and lots of practice :3  In fact every single week for the past 5 weeks, I’ve been away somewhere or other. But this is my last trip for awhile and I am so happy… I get to stay at home for awhile.. :D

I’ve been extremely busy lately… buying a house! :)   It’s been a very very windy road, up to yesterday I was ready to pull the plug and cut my losses (and $3000 down the drain for nothing ) but after weeks of legal tussles and liaising with lawyers, the council and pulling my hair out by the chunks, it is all done! hooray :)

I don’t move in till about six weeks time… but am so looking forward to having my own place. Furnishing a home while being extremeeely brokee….  this will be interesting :)

My future room to be…(sans the furniture) …  I dont have anything to match the blue walls… hmmmm  *brain starts going into ot*

The strangest spa…

September 29th, 2010 by

Following on from a long ago post on a very strange bathroom at the Crowne Plaza airport hotel in Singapore

I arrived after a taxing day @ work and the proprietor must have seen the strezzzzz on my face because he upgraded me to a spaaaaa unit… <3

The only thing is, it shares the same space as the bedroom…    ._.

Veryvery Strange!! But still.. a spa is a spa is a spa. ;)

Sometimes we need to think Kitty thoughts….

I have hit a brick wall AND a crossroad recently … ;)  Stressed… I need to unwind and think like kitteh…

Showing their true colors….

September 5th, 2010 by

It’s not always easy to see someone’s true colors

In this particular case I’m referring to  a giant supermarket chain vs. a little dairy owner.

Yes a lil ole earthquake hit, rupturings water pipes, causing power outages and damage to houses, roads, etc. The city centre was under lock down and people who did have access to water were asked to use it sparingly for a few reasons - in case excessive use caused more damage, and because there is (always) expected to be a water shortage.

So guess what the local mega supermarket did? They thought lets mark up the cost of water to make a huge profit because people are bound to buy it for sure! Selling bottled water at exorbitant prices, which people did buy to stock up at home.

Compare this to the little dairy owner who started giving away or selling his stuff CHEAPER .. He gave away batteries, water and milk to customers. A true gentleman with a heart.  Especially when you hear everyday another dairy closes because it cannot afford to compete with the bulk cheapness of the mega marts.

If a KeanuReeves lookalike alien ever does invade earth to destroy it because “mankind are such a selfish, destructive lot”, it’s the people, the stories like this that will make them think twice.

Shame on you big supermarket chain. I wouldn’t expect you to give stuff away, of course, but raising prices is just being scummy.

I need to move on…

August 26th, 2010 by

I’ve decided to hunt down a surgeon who is willing to operate on me…not an easy feat. One specialist actually saw me for all of 2 minutes which he used to explain why he doesnt want to do anything and escort me out of his room. But I’ve finally decided its fix my knee or die. I can’t take living this way anymore simply because I’m not living, just existing. No badminton, tennis, squash, running, or working out at the gym, No nice long walks on a sunny day by the river, I can’t even shop properly because I have to keep finding somewhere to sit and rest.. It’s been such a bad year and I’ve been so desperately sad and it’s affecting me and my relationships with everyone close to me in a bad way..  apparently I don’t even smile anymore. And to think I may live beyond 60.. so many many more years like this only it will get worse as time goes on ..  -_- Omg.  I can’t face life like this anymore..
