So, lately I’ve been playing River King: Mystic Valley. It’s a fun game, but it’s rather repetitive. You can catch 106 different types of fish, but the fishing is always the same. But it’s still really fun. The graphics are very nice, and the game just has a very peaceful feeling to it. There are also three minigames to unlock, so that breaks up the monotony a bit. I’m at the end of it :) Now I just have to catch the River King! I’ve been playing it for 15 hours, so it’s got a pretty good length to it.

I’ve also been playing Cookie and Cream. I enjoy River King more. Cookie and Cream isn’t repetitive, and it has it’s fun parts, but boy does it have some flaws. First of all, I love the gameplay concept. You control two rabbits in this platformer. One of them is on the top screen, where all the action is, and the other is on the bottom, solving micro-game like obstacles. For instance, when Cookie, the rabbit on the top, comes across an obstacle, you have him jump on a red switch, and it activates the problem that you need to solve on the bottom screen. This is usually fun, but here’s the problem: The game virtually requires you to have 3 hands. With some puzzles, you have to control Cookie and Cream at the same time, so at times you have to use the d-pad, stylus on the bottom screen, and the buttons. This is a design flaw. I had to use my left pinky to control the d-pad, the rest of my left hand to control the stylus, and my right hand was controlling the buttons. This wouldn’t be nearly as bad if you could solve at your own pace. The game times you, and you start out with 100 seconds at the beginning of each level, losing 20 seconds if you fall into water or get hit by an enemy. Now, I have no problem with fast-paced games. I wouldn’t have minded the timing system if it weren’t for the control flaws. I enjoy a challenge, but not an impossible challenge. But, at least I got it for 10 bucks. Plus, it’s kind of understandable, considering this was originally for the PS2 as “The Adventures of Cookie and Cream”, as a multiplayer title. You really need two people to play this game. Sorry for the long rant :P

I bought both of these games at Bestbuy, River King was $14.99 and I would definitely recommend picking it up at that price. However, even for $10.00, I can’t recommend Cookie and Cream.

I’ve noticed something quite a time back, and it’s kind of hard to accept. I can’t get out of the house, so I just sit on the computer all day, chatting and doing whatever I particularly feel like. But it gets old. I get tired of it, leave my computer for a few hours only to come back on later. The internet is addictive, especially when you are at home all the time. Though I don’t think I’ll have to worry about staying addicted, seeing as how eventually I’m going to be able to get a life and spend less time here. At least it’s something I enjoy….though I could be spending my time better.

Games! ^_^ I think we can all find one to enjoy at Sanriotown, whether it be puzzle or action. I’m curious to ask something to anyone who happens to come by my blog here–what are your favorite games on this site? I personally enjoy the simple but challenging flash games, such as Poccacho’s Balloon game. ^_^

Well this is my first day and blog on Sanriotown, I’m going to look forward to visiting the site each day. I love Sanrio and my favorite character is Cinnamoroll, though I adore Hello Kitty too.
