Kat’s Life

glitter-graphics.com

I started at four years old, wanting to dance, act, and perform. I begged my parents to send me to dance classes. I knew that I needed to start learning how to perform as soon as possible, as it takes many many years to learn the craft. But instead, they thought my ideas were fanciful, what an imagination I had! For several years, I continued to beg for lessons. Finally I realized that I must wait until I was out of high school and on my own, to pursue lessons. I tried to explain to them that this plan would send me late into my dreams. Most performers were expected to be eighteen years old or thereabout when they first started in the career, having been trained since they were five years old. Since it would take me many years to learn the skills necessary, unless they allowed me to learn while I was in school, then this would not happen. I was forced to wait until I was eighteen years old to begin my training. I refused to give up in the face of the odds against me from the start. I was excited to finally begin my lessons that I had waited my entire life for. I always have had a driving need inside of me to be on the stage or infront of the camera.
