Four new adoptables have been added to the adoptables page:

iheartbadtz suggested penguins for the next adoptables, and that reminded me of something I drew once!

I drew this guy at least a year ago, probably more.  I intended to draw a whole bunch of animals in monocles and call it ‘Monocle Party’ but I only got as far as this blue fairy penguin.  Like all the monsters I post here, you can adopt Monocle Penguin if you want!  The adoptables on the ‘Adoptables’ page are made specifically for that purpose but everyone’s up for grabs.

I just realized that a site I like is on invite-only mode, when I THOUGHT it was completely closed to new registration.  So if anyone here is interested in Wajas, I can send an invite to your SanrioTown email.

Wajas is a fantasy dog breeding sim.  There are some simple puzzle games on the site that make for a great source of income but the main focus is on the Wajas themselves!  There are a number of different markings your Waja can have, in different colors and intensity.  You can also have mutations on your Waja like wings, horns, and fangs.  A Waja pup will have markings, colors, and mutations carried over from its parents.  If I tried to explain any further I’d probably screw it up and overcomplicate matters.  You don’t actually have to pay much attention to the ‘genetics’ of it, I barely do.

Lemme give an example.

This is Jean Mollie.  I love the poor darling but boy do her colors clash!  She has butterfly wings AND bird wings overlapping terribly.

THIS is Kamala.  Would you believe this pink cutie is Jean Mollie’s grandbaby?

THIS is Whispers from Above.  She isn’t related to any of my other Wajas, I bought her from someone who pays more attention to genetics than I do.

HKO is pretty great!  Sometimes there’s problems getting from one map to another and occasionally you can get stuck on top of scenery but otherwise it’s pretty smooth!  The graphics are adorable, I wish there were more player customization choices early on though.

One thing rather puzzles me about it, though…  Pinkuruchan is a pink squirrel who shows up in the tutorial dream rooms and has a huuuge house in Florapolis.  Kuririn refers to her as a princess, even!  But who is she?  Well a google search tells me that her real name is Pink No Corisu and she’s not only a princess but an alien princess. I really like her design, why hasn’t she been in the spotlight before now? I want to buy things with her picture on it.

A lot of the NPCs in HKO are lesser-known Sanrio characters. I hope this means that they’re gonna release more stuff with those characters on it! I’m tired of Hello Kitty hogging the stage!

In addition to HKO (my name there is just ‘Meg’ nice and simple) I have been on an adoptables binge… Later I think I’ll update my personal adoptables page to show all my dragons, Valenths, Wajas, and other pets. I should also put up some adoptables for you guys too…

Art updates are going to be slow for a while, what with the Founder’s Beta and midterms and other life issues coming up right now.  I apologize in advance!

Meet Wanita, the queen of the fruit animals!  Her name is a nice pun I’m surprised I came up with.  ‘Wan’ is the Japanese sound of a dog barking.  Wan + Juanita.

I tried to make a cat adoptable to go with the bunnies but I forgot to save the lineart…  I only got the chance to color one.

When I want to color one lineart a bunch of times I have to save a layered version first.  I thought I did, but then it turned out I saved it as a flat PNG instead.  Such a dumb, simple mistake!  Well, next time I draw cat lineart I’ll just have to try and improve!

I had my interview with GameStop, it went pretty well.  They said I’d get a call before the end of the month, but it is currently the 5th so that’s a kind of a long time…

Caramelick the Caramel Apple is the last of the living desserts.  I wanted to keep going with that theme but I ran out of ideas.  Maybe I’ll do a muffin to go with the cupcakes?  I’m open to ideas, but I’ve alread rejected a few desserts because it’s too hard to make them look like faces.

I like how he’s sticking out his tongue with his mouth wide open like he’s at the doctor’s.  Sorry Caramelick, it seems they stuck the tongue depressor in your head and not your mouth!

Cinnamon Roll!  You are too big, I had to resize your dumb butt to fit on the blog nice.  Now if people want to see you at full-size they have to click on you.  Is that what you want?  Clicks all over your frosting?  You are going to get everyone sticky, you troublemaker.

Look at him, sticking his tongue out.  He’s not even listening to me!

I have my job interview with Gamestop tomorrow and one with Claire’s on Monday.  Hmmmm if I get accepted for both how do I pick?  Or I might get accepted at neither.  Aaah, excitement!

I already have a job interview lined up, with Gamestop.  I met the manager already, he knows that if I got hired I’d be working two jobs, so there’s no confusion there.  This could really work out great!

 I’m happy enough that I drew a happy Mocha to be happy with me!
