Tic Tac TOE!
June 12th, 2009 by manilafashionobserver:hellokitty.comThis has got to be the most fabulous tic tac toe “board” ever!
It’s a gift from my friend, The Baghag and it’s such a great reminder of her! She used to collect shoes before she started collecting bags, and every time I see this on our coffee table, I immediately think of her!
Every girl/lady visitor of ours never fails to notice this as she sits on our couch, no fail! It’s really such a hit! The bags and shoes are so tiny and cute, I hope Berry will be a good girl and not swallow each piece whole though! Hahaha!

June 10th, 2009 by manilafashionobserver:hellokitty.comHave I been hiding under a rock all this time? How come this has never come to my attention? EVA Air’s Hello Kitty Jet!!! Then again, I’ve never been to Taiwan…so there! Hahaha!
Launched in October 2005, EVA Air tied up with Sanrio and they decked the airline’s A330-200 exterior with Hello Kitty characters. According to Wikipedia, “A year later, the airline launched a second Hello Kitty Jet. The aircraft featured a Hello Kitty motif on exterior and interior fittings and features. Both planes were used to serve Japanese destinations, and from mid–July 2007, also Taipei-Hong Kong routes. The Hello Kitty schemes were scheduled to be retired in 2009.”
Hmmm, that’s this year! I hope they’ve decided to extend this, because I want to take Berry on a ride in a Hello Kitty jet! Check out these pics which I found on this blog…
The FA’s with their pink Hello Kitty aprons…

Although it doesn’t seem as appetizing here!
Now check out the waiting lounge as seen in Chuvaness…

If I were a kid, I wouldn’t feel as bored if I waited in a lounge like this, hahaha!
Colgate Wisp
June 9th, 2009 by manilafashionobserver:hellokitty.comI bought something from Target the other day and inside the box was a sample of Colgate Wisp, a disposable toothbrush that I’ve been seeing a lot of these days, thanks to the TV commercial!
I’m sitting on the fence about using this though, I mean, I may try it at home, but will I really buy something like this? Sure, it is cute (it’s just about 3.5 inches so it’s very compact and discreet, perfect when you only have a tiny clutch or minaudiere with you) and it’s a lifesaver I suppose for when you really really need to have fresh breath. Now here’s the tricky part, you don’t need water to use this. It has a freshening bead in lieu of toothpaste. If it froths, does that mean I’d have to swallow after brushing? No gargling? Wouldn’t that be gross? Well, I won’t say no until I try! At the least, the soft pointy end of the handle functions as a toothpick, so one point for that!
Healthy Corn Chips
June 6th, 2009 by manilafashionobserver:hellokitty.comSince we are on the subject of “healthy” snacks, haha, may I suggest these multigrain corn chips from Kettle?
See, its made from organic corn…
…plus millet, buckwheat, rye, barley and whole wheat! Talk about fiber overload! So see, it’s really really healthy. Guilt free really! (Oh really now!) Hahaha!

June 5th, 2009 by manilafashionobserver:hellokitty.comGot My Anthropologie Apron!
June 4th, 2009 by manilafashionobserver:hellokitty.comPresenting, the cuteness!!!
Oh how I’ve wanted this apron for soooooo looooooonnnnnggggg! Like since I first saw it at Anthropologie two years ago (or maybe that’s just how it feels!) I just couldn’t bear paying $40 for an apron so I postponed, and postponed, and postponed buying it. I actually even considered making my own apron, but all my pretty fabrics are back home in Manila. (Seriously, I had a habit of buying fabric, even hoarding - as in buying 10 yards or so if I liked the print. I also had grosgrain ribbons and all sorts of trimmings on stock, heehee). Then again, I can’t do smocking and ruffles so doing a replica of this apron would be a bit of a stretch!
Luckily, my friend Xsa, who was visiting from PA last week bought it for me! Yehey for generous friends! Heehee! Jeez, I feel so lucky getting all these cutesy stuff day after day after day!
