Wishlisted: Clarisonic Skin Care Brush

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

I want to try this! It reminds me of the brush that is used in my dermatologist’s clinic whenever I go there for a deep cleaning! At $195 for a Clarisonic brush, that’s just about 10 facials from my dermatologist. Does that make money sense to you?

Here’s what Sephora has to say about one of their bestselling products!

What it is:
A professional-grade skincare brush.

What it is formulated to do:
From the creators of the Sonicare® toothbrush comes the Clarisonic® Skincare Brush. Sonic technology first changed the way we clean our teeth, it’s now changing how we cleanse our skin. The sonic frequency moves Clarisonic’s soft, gentle brush back and forth at more than 300 times per second, thoroughly clearing pores and skin surface.

Here are some of the benefits this revolutionary skincare tool delivers:
- Removes makeup six times better than traditional methods.
- Clears pores and reduces the appearance of pore size.
- Cleanses so thoroughly that skincare products absorb better.
- Creates noticeably healthier looking skin.

What else you need to know:
Clarisonic should be used as part of a daily skincare regimen to provide smoother feeling and looking skin. Ideal for all skin types and used and recommended by leading dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons. Gentle enough to use for cleansing rosacea and sebborheic dermatitis.

Colgate Wisp

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

I bought something from Target the other day and inside the box was a sample of Colgate Wisp, a disposable toothbrush that I’ve been seeing a lot of these days, thanks to the TV commercial!

I’m sitting on the fence about using this though, I mean, I may try it at home, but will I really buy something like this? Sure, it is cute (it’s just about 3.5 inches so it’s very compact and discreet, perfect when you only have a tiny clutch or minaudiere with you) and it’s a lifesaver I suppose for when you really really need to have fresh breath. Now here’s the tricky part, you don’t need water to use this. It has a freshening bead in lieu of toothpaste. If it froths, does that mean I’d have to swallow after brushing? No gargling? Wouldn’t that be gross? Well, I won’t say no until I try! At the least, the soft pointy end of the handle functions as a toothpick, so one point for that!

Hello Kitty Bath Time V: Liquid Soap/Body Wash/Shampoo/Lotion Dispenser

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

Here’s a versatile dispenser that can work for your shampoo, liquid soap (but what for when there’s that cute soap dish!), body wash or lotion! You can actually chuck those plastic bottles of toiletries and empty the contents out into these…

…for that Hello Kitty bath room experience! Question is, how can you tell which one contains which? Hmmm….

Hello Kitty Bath Time IV: Soap Dish

Friday, May 15th, 2009

Now isn’t this the cutest soap dish ever?

It’s actually a shame to cover Hello Kitty’s face with a bar of soap! So cute!!!

Hello Kitty Bath Time III: Towels

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

Because we want to keep the toilet dry and clean, and our faces, hands and bodies dried, buffed and polished, we need towels of course!

Hello Kitty comes to our rescue with pretty towels that have cute little designs on it. Nope, these are not your regular terry cloth towels!

These aren’t made with the finest Egyptian cotton, but then again, if you’re a kid, sometimes, it’s the cuteness that matters right?

Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

I usually have a Clorox bleach pen or a Tide-to-go pen in my bag for stain emergencies. But after I destroyed/bleached out my favorite French mariner top from Petit Bateau using these bleach pens, I swore these off! Never again! I told myself.

Good thing I discovered this environment friendly spot remover at Buy Buy Baby for only $3.99…

It is supposedly a tried & tested family “recipe”!

I’ve tried this on my white tank top spotted with spaghetti sauce stains and it worked like a charm!

Can’t wait to see how it works on other types of stains, hopefully not stains on my clothes though! Hahaha!

Medela Maternity Support Band

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

And so it has come to this! That I have to wear a maternity support band just so that my back won’t hurt from carrying our Little One! She is getting so big and from the looks of our ultrasound pictures, she has become such a cutie with adorably chubby cheeks!

Photobucket

True enough, I think this support band serves its purpose! My lower back does not hurt as much and it does support my 7 month old belly! While there are claims that it helps with bladder issues (it supposedly helps us pee less), I’m not entirely too positive on that. Hahaha!

My verdict? Worth the $19.99 I spent on this! Available at Buy Buy Baby.

Btw, it’s my mom’s birthday today! Happy Birthday Mom! Thanks for carrying me, even without a support band for the whole 9 month stretch! I super appreciate all your sacrifice for me, especially now! Heehee! Love you!

Hello Kitty Bubble Gum Scented Body Wash

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Wouldn’t this perk up any bath room?

Photobucket

It’s like toilet decor and a yummy smelling body wash in one!

Photobucket

Why is it that I see all these cute Hello Kitty products here and hardly see them in Manila? These were less than $8 too at TJ Maxx! Last piece too so it must have been a hit. It makes for a nice present, or something pretty cute to keep for one’s self, whether you be a kid or a grown-up.

Sometimes, it’s the little things like this that can put a smile to your face, because it’s there when you least expect it!

Monistat Chafing Relief Powder Gel

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Photobucket

Don’t laugh, but this label known for intimate anti-fungal creams is actually making a product that is great for the face! When my sister-in-law mentioned this, I thought it was just amusing. But apparently, there’s practically a cult following for this powder-gel among make-up mavens!

Then again, at less than $10 a tube, this drugstore brand makes a pretty darn great alternative to the more expensive make-up primers in the market today!

Let’s put it this way, the three pack sold in Amazon is out of stock now. It’s either there’s a lot of chafed thighs out there or people are really looking for cheaper ways to look pretty! Makes sense during these recessionary times!

Kiehl’s Superbly Restorative Dry Oil

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Oooh! This one’s definitely in my must buy list! I’ve been using Neutrogena’s Body Oil for years now and I just love the silky feel of body oils when my skin feels lacking in moisture. But this new product from Kiehl’s seems superbly better because it works not only for the body but for the face and hair too! Three-in-one!

Photobucket

-Made with fairly traded Argan Oil
-Multi-purpose restorative dry oil
-Naturally Derived Emollients
-Provides Healthy Looking Radiant Sheen

“Kiehl’s multi-purpose restorative dry oil for the face, body and hair utilizes Moroccan Argan Oil and naturally-derived emollients, enriched with antioxidants and essential fatty acids. This formulation helps to smooth skin and hair while providing a healthy looking radiant sheen. Love it!
