While the mere mention of the word patchouli conjures images of the hippy dippy 60s, Tom Ford works his magic once more by re-invigorating this scent with a dose of now!

According to Vogue UK,” Ford transformed patchouli with penetrating notes from white flowers peony, rose and jasmine to create a fresh yet distinctive eau de parfum.”

There was actually a huge ad on the Style section of the NY Times last Sunday announcing that the scent is now exclusively available at Saks Fifth Avenue. What do you think? Are you ready for some pathchouli lovin’?

I don’t know if this be a chewy kind of lip balm (just like with Nerds candy) but I’m thinking this will be quite good huh?

Trust the Japanese to come up with a lash curler to deal with our lower lashes! There’s even a lash curler that’s meant to work on sections only! Yup, so if there’s a section of your lashes that’s a problem area, then there one to fix that stubborn section!

The Bridal Shower was also mommy friendly! Yup! That’s my mom and mom-in-law right there enjoying their mani-pedi!

My sister Dianne contacted Nailicious, a home spa service that my sister-in-law Lorraine discovered!

So during Bridal Shower Day, a coterie of spa therapists dressed in pink and black arrived armed with ceramic bowls, towels, massage scrubs and masks and other spa implements…

Prices were not bad at all too!

Sorry if I haven’t been able to update this site the last week as much as possible! See, Dear Hubby and I were home for our church wedding!

Of course, with the wedding comes a bridal shower! And I would like to share with you all what happened! Hehehe! Don’t worry, it’s very GP (General Patronage) and not at all R (Restricted!)!

I told my maid of honor, my sisters and sisters-in-law that I wanted a sweet and relaxing bridal shower! No raunchy male dancer please please please!

So true to my request, I got what I wanted! And it turned out to be such a great prelude to the wedding day itself! Because I had a spa-themed bridal shower!

First, let me start off with the ambiance…

“Best Wishes” and balloons greeted me as I entered the room:

Fresh flowers and lighted candles adorned each table…

The center table had Bacolod goodies like mango tarts and caramel boat tarts galore! (Thanks Jaraiza!)

Banderitas fluttered above and balloons created a festive mood…

If you think this is Martha Stewart-ish, more oohs and ahhs to come! Heehee!

I use the Shu Uemura eyelash curler, but I hear this is way better for chinky eyes!

It suits the shape of chinky eyes better, and supposedly lashes stay curled for hours. At $17, it’s dollar cheaper than Shu too!

Well, it’s not really a center, but it sure is a one-stop container of edible beauty products! It’s got a candy bracelet, candy perfume, candy necklace and candy glossy lip gel! Pretty and yummy in one!

I found this at Bed, Bath & Beyond some weeks back and just found it sooo cute! It retails for $6.99 and while the beauty products won’t last, the container will be fun to keep just for storing your little knickknacks!

This fragrance sampler is especially cute!!! I super love the packaging!

According to nowsmellthis Marc Jacobs Daisy “starts with fruit (wild strawberry, red grapefruit), neither heavy nor overly sweet, tempered by a touch of greenery (violet leaves). The floral notes in the heart (gardenia, violet, jasmine) are well-blended and sheer… The base (musk, vanilla and white woods) is pale and clean and middling warm, and only lightly vanillic.”

This scent was developed by perfumer Alberto Morillas who has made scents for Bvlgari, Cartier, Chopard, Calvin Klein, Armani and Lanvin among a host of luxury labels!

But unlike the brands I’ve mentioned, this scent is very fresh and youthful! Just as the packaging suggests, it makes you think of running through wide fields of green and sunflowers on a sunny summer day!

While the target market are 18-24 year olds, I wouldn’t mind using it! I can’t help but smile as I dab on the scent! It just makes me think happy thoughts! It also helps that it smells so fresh and clean! I love it!
