Jeff Koons Coloring Book
This one is not as literal as the last two. There’s a bit of abstractness to this one, but it still looks fun nonetheless! As with the rest, this is also made from high chromium stainless steel with transparent color coating. It’s quite huge too at 222 x 131.5 x 9 1/8 in., and was made for the Louis Vuitton Foundation, if I am not mistaken!
Any guesses what this is all about?
Well, according to the leaflet, “A page from a Winnie the Pooh coloring book featuring Pooh’s companion Piglet was the genesis of Coloring Book. Koons took a magic marker to the page and colored in various zones; in the fabrication of the sculpture, he removed Piglet from the composition, which resulted in this abstraction rendered in cheerful pastel colors.”
Did you guess it right?
