A leather jacket has been on my wish list since we moved here. And I would love to get my hands on one from Mike & Chris, hopefully soon!

The husband and wife team has made a cult classic out of distressed leather jackets, so much so that their work has been featured in Vogue, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar. I’m not too hot about it being worn by all the celebs though, but I just love the laid back but chic vibe I’m getting from their jackets! Sigh!

Scarves are hot hot hot! And I don’t mean it temperature wise!

I’m talking about scarves as seen on everyone, from celebs to society chicks, and common folks just like us!

Of course, in the hierarchy of scarves, there are more popular labels that get everyone’s attention. And one of them is Love Quotes.

Young Hollywood has been seen wearing these cuffed boyfriend jeans all over town, so expect to see cheaper versions/derivations of these in stores in the months to come!

To show you how picturesque and pretty Mystic, CT is, let me take you to St. Edmund’s Enders Island, a retreat facility (for recovering alcoholics if I remember right) near Mystic Seaport, that is just so serene and quiet, it is certainly the perfect place for healing, meditation and self-discovery!

While my Dear Hubby, our friend Uni and my in-laws were busy taking photos, I sat on a rocking chair in one of the meditation spots, the gazebo in the picture below, which faces the water front.

In five minutes, I promptly fell asleep, the cool sea breeze lulling me to dreamland! No kidding!

Because I just love cool, quiet, pretty places, I would certainly love to have a place like this for a vacation home!

I just love how pretty and quaint the town of Mystic is! Everything here has flair. Check out this wind vane high on top of a store’s roof!

Details here are so picture perfect, even random items each have a special quality!

Well, I found a distant relative of his in one of the Olde Mistick Village shops! Tadaaa!

If you don’t feel like eating fresh lobster, then there’s always a hot lobster roll, or some steaming lobster bisque to fill your grumbling tummy at Abbott’s!

Fine, it may not look appetizing, but trust me when I say this is sooooo good!!! I can’t wait for the next spring/summer season and get my fill of lobster yumminess from Abbott’s!

If you’ve seen the movie Mystic Pizza (starring a very young Julia Roberts), then it might interest you to know that this is the place where it was filmed! Mystic, Connecticut!

It’s such a charming and quaint little town, filled with historic homes, picturesque scenery, hints of a fishing lifestyle…

…and of course, great food!

Unfortunately, I still haven’t tried the very popular Mystic Pizza (also known as a “Slice of Heaven”) because we drove farther down to nearby Noank, CT for this:
