Junior’s Cheesecake: The Best Cheesecake in New York!

Monday, May 12th, 2008

If you are a dessert enthusiast, or maybe just love eating out, you might have noticed that New York cheesecakes are practically a menu staple. So if you love New York cheesecakes and want to visit the Holy Grail of New York cheesecakes, there’s no other place to visit than Junior’s in Brooklyn (Flatbush & DeKalb Avenue)! That, or order their cakes online or buy one from a specialty deli such as Union Market (my favorite!) like I did!

I have to tell you, this is super yummy!!! Don’t let that plastic wrapping fool you!

It just tastes so fresh and so rich that you’ll forget your name. You might even consider calling yourself Junior! Hahaha! If I want a little bit of sweetness to go with it, I just add fresh strawberries and it’s just heaven!

Junior’s Fabulous Cheesecake and Desserts was founded in 1950 by Harry Rosen and it has become a New York institution over the years. If you happen to have a chance to try their cheesecakes, do so! As they love to say, “You haven’t really lived until you’ve had cheesecake from Junior’s.”

So thanks to my friend Tet who made me try this cheesecake! I almost passed it up because I was so full from eating her comforting tinola! Now I am so hooked!

THe George Washington Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Hudson River, connectingWashington Heights neighborhood in Manhattan, New York City to Fort Lee, New Jersey. It is also the 4th largest suspension bridge in the United States!

Costco Hotdog!

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

Ahh yes, another junk food post! Hahaha!

Ok, one of the many reasons why I love shopping at Costco apart from the abundant warehouse feel, is the fact that I get to eat a hotdog or a wide slice of pizza after shopping, depending on my mood. Yeah, kind of like treating a kid to Jollibee or McDonalds after behaving well while grocery shopping. Hahaha!

The last time I went there with my friend Paz, hotdogs were the order of the day! I think a hotdog with drink combo is $1.50. With everything on it - pickles, onions, mustart, ketchup and sauerkraut! Pretty good don’t you think?
